It has an original story, or at least one I haven't seen before so that puts it ahead of many of the CEs we get on offer. The graphics are beautiful and colorful, the voice acting is good, I love my little birdy helper and there are free, no-cal snacks. Some of the puzzles are a little challenging for me but everything else is a delight to play.
I love little helpers (unless they're talking animals that you have to dress) and this one reminds me of that adorable little scarecrow boy. The game has lovely, haunting music that's very lightly done, the graphics are good and the voice acting is even better and it's just a fun game to play. Looking forward to a sale so I can buy it. Thanks devs!
They threw everything into this game, none of it really makes any sense but it's terrific fun and so goofy that I laughed in several places. The game play itself isn't terribly hard but it's a fun, relaxing way to spend a cold January day.
This one showed up on my BFG game app as a suggestion and I'm glad I saw it. I don't have the writing skills to describe this but... yeah, there's some supernatural elements to it but this is the closest I can remember coming to a game that feels like real life. All the things you need to progress in the game make sense and Adam's voice over is very well done. This feels like an immersive movie and I'm really enjoying it.
I've been hooked on this series for years and I've replayed all of them several times. They're visually gorgeous and I find the game play very relaxing. I was lucky enough to beta this one and I've been looking forward to its release. Definite buy for me.
I especially love the holiday ones they make... the graphics are a mix of photography and photo realistic artwork and the game play is actually rather challenging. You have three things you have to find on each level: litter, an animal from a silhouette box and the objects on the list. The litter can be very challenging to find! The game starts off fairly easy and gets more difficult, particularly the puzzles between HOS.
These are pretty, relaxing and enjoyable and I've replayed all of them many times.
The graphics are a little rough compared to the big name developers but everything else is much better. Hidden object scenes are challenging but not frustrating and there are some new and clever puzzles that I'm enjoying. And even though the plot isn't terribly original, it's presented in an interesting way. I love finding stand alone SE games and this one is great.
This used to be my favorite dev but there's been a distinct lack of originality lately. Find a key to open a long abandoned hole in the wall of a deserted hotel only to find a live flashlight. Find another key to open half of a first aid kit to find a nail puller. How does that even make sense? It's a constant back and forth finding keys to open oddball locations for extremely unlikely objects.
The game is beautiful, the music is very good but... how about a plot instead of relying on opening endless and tedious locks? I don't leave negative reviews but this game is a stinker.
I wasn't thrilled to see another PuppetShow game but I gave it a try anyway. One thing I've always admired about this dev is their responsiveness to customer comments and complaints and this game shows a marked improvement from earlier games in this series. I like helpers unless they're animals wearing clothes or talk in a high, squeaky voice and this creepy robot cat is kind of cool. I love the graphics of course and the voice acting is much better than earlier games. Really nice HOS and the puzzles are easy (I have a low frustration level so I like easy puzzles.)
This is definitely worth playing the demo, it's a very good game.
The game mechanics are the best I've ever seen, everything is logically laid out, the artwork is beautiful (although the CG characters aren't very attractive) and even the voice acting is well done. This is easily as good as most of the CEs from the big name developers, and better in many cases. I'm struck by the attention to detail that went into this, it's really beautifully crafted and a pleasure to play.
