I wanted to like this game; I liked the last one and thought it looked fun. But the game requires you to play full screen, and that's an instant deal-killer for me. That's not how I play a casual game, with it demanding my full and undivided attention. If I can't play it in a window, I'm not interested.
So have fun, if this is okay for you. I'll wait for something better.
I don't recommend this game.

This remake fixes all the problems with the original game -- it gives ample hints as to what to do next, it gives you a map, and it gives you something to do when you're not sure what to do next. It does this while keeping the original's sense of mystery, beautiful graphics, haunting story, and good voice actors. And the second story is good and adds a sense of creepiness that I didn't expect.
The only caveat I have is that it ends on a cliff-hanger, and while the story is continued in the next two games, they haven't yet been remade to make the games playable. Expect massive frustration and confusion as you get lost in the dark and misty scenery without no idea how to proceed.
I recommend this game!

After reading the page for this game, I assumed we were going to have some sort of story to go along with the pictures. Nope. There was no story -- none -- not even a pretense at one. It was pick your character, then go straight into the first puzzle. So there's that.
As to the puzzles themselves, they're not much fun to do and not much to look at if you struggle your way through to a finished picture. The tools are some help, but not much, and confusing to boot. I deleted the game before I was halfway through the demo.
Try it out for yourself, but it's not my cup of tea. It's not even my glass of plain water in the desert.
I don't recommend this game.

This game has three elements that I really dislike: women in peril, a bad guy who is supernaturally always one step ahead of you, and bad English, I mean REALLY bad. If those things don't bother you, go for it; the two protagonists are interesting, and the combination of magic and reality works quite well. As for me, I'll go back to Fantasy Mosaics and try again next weekend.
I don't recommend this game.

Not too sure why all the reviewers seem to have just noticed what these games are like. If you've played the others in this series, this is just like those. The only thing I wish they'd change is that every level ends with a non-mosaic puzzle that has no hints, you can't skip it, and you have to solve it to go to the next level. But again, that's just part of this franchise.
If you haven't played one of these before, play the trial and find out what it's like. If you have, here's another. No worries.

It's true -- this game holds nothing new in the way of puzzles, story, setting, or characters. That's not necessarily a bad thing, though. Yes, Domini is going strictly according to its formula, and there are places where you can almost recite the dialogue with the characters. Still, it's stunningly beautiful to look at, and the puzzles are all fair, and there's a soothing comfort to the familiarity of it all.
All of which is to say, if you just need a dose of relaxing beauty, give this game a try. You won't remember any of it five minutes after you finish it -- and there's nothing wrong with that.
I recommend this game!

One of my favorite games, and the only one I buy without playing the demo first. Yes, if you've played any of the other games in this series, you won't have any surprises here. But that's exactly why I buy these games -- because I know exactly what I'm going to get, and it's fun, relaxing, pretty, and definitely worth my time and money. I dread the day they add one more color and make it a Collector's Edition.
Just ... don't tamper with the formula. It works, and that's enough.
I recommend this game!

One of the best games of this genre I've ever played. Plot is intelligent, characters are engaging, graphics are bright and lovely, voice acting is skilled, and almost everything about it is a delight to experience. Not a cliche in sight, and that's saying something -- so many of these games are strictly formulaic.

Read the other reviews, then add in the following:
* Older gamers will likely do better at this game than some of the younger types. For example, it really helps if you remember that 3-inch floppies have a lock switch on the back.
* Gamers with a taste for British humor will cherish the writing and get more of the jokes than others.
* The point of lateral thinking puzzles is to stretch your brain. Lose the logic, think like a cartoon character, and the rest is a cinch.
All in all, one of my favorites on Big Fish this year. Can't wait to finish it!
I recommend this game!

Based on the other reviews, I was anticipating a simple and relaxing fill-in type game. And so it was, for the first six pictures. Then picture seven appeared -- a large and very detailed butterfly with tiny boxes that is going to take a good hour to complete. Good grief!
So yes, a simple and relaxing game, but with a few landmines in it. This one is a keeper.
I recommend this game!
