Played only the demo after which there was no desire to buy at all. I also don't know what has happened to Elephant . Apart from Nutcracker which had excellent graphics a good story and well done characters, even though there were no achievements etc , Elephant have lost the plot for me. All their games always had something extra which is why I own so many of their games. This had hardly any cut scenes to draw you into the story unlike most of their other games and the characters were poorly done and were just a drawing with a voice over. Although Grim Tales is not my favourite from this dev I still bought the other three which I enjoyed well enough. Sorry this one does not tempt me to buy at all. I am surprised it has jumped to number 1. But then ERS are also getting games out there without I feel getting them finished. It just seems they can't get them out there fast enough. Sorry.
I don't recommend this game.
Push your detective skills to the limit in a fantastical faraway land and find a prince's lost love.

Elephant games are usually excellent and until recently I have bought every game they have developed. Unfortunately they seem to have veered off from their usual path of games like Hallowed legends, Samhain and Mystery Trackers and have gone down the path of Dark Parables and frankly they are not as good.As usual the graphics are well done but there was no music and I found the characters did not move well. Also this game crashed and crashed on me something that never happens with elephant so I had to give up. What I did see from the demo was really childish and why did the prince have to hire a detective when Cinderella two scenes away? Overall another disappointment like Unfinished Tales; Illicit love which I thoroughly disliked.
I don't recommend this game.
Olivia has been kidnapped by the mysterious Lonely Hearts Killer who murders those suffering from a shattered love. Save her!

Based on full game and bonus chapter. Brilliant graphics. Set in 1890 London. Music completely fit the mood. Computerised figures. Great story. Loved the way you were haloing the detective in the investigation to find your kidnapped daughter. Lots of locations all beautifully done. Lots of cut scenes but not too many. Great acting by authentic english actors in voice overs. Map but not interactive so there is a bit of retracing your steps. HOS's beautifully done and quite challenging with some interaction. I thoroughly enjoyed the first one and this is certainly as good. One slight thing was that there was never very much in your inventory at any one time. There was some variety in the puzzles some easy some more challenging. The bonus chapter was also worth the extra for a CE. No complaints from me here!!
I recommend this game!

Forget Dana Knightstone, this one has everything! Can't understand why it is not Number 1. It has brilliant graphics, wonderful cut scenes.. really lifelike. Characters are not drawn which I hate but created by computer. It reminds me of Eternal Journey: New Atlantis but not all done in space. There were just enough HOS's and although you returned to the same locations for them each time was different in that the second time you were given items that you had to put into the scene. The mini games were not hard. I hate puzzling for hours and there were a huge amount of locations and things to do. Music is relaxing but also haunting. There is an interactive map so anybody wondering how long the game is can see the depth of work done and the amount of places they have to visit. I am presently on the final chapter and loving it as much. Well worth the money!! Thank you Big Fish!!

This is one of the best HOPA games I have played. It just has everything. Wonderful cut scenes, scarey monsters, great storyline. The extra game play was well worth buying the CE as they changed the type of HOS ( which were interactive in the main ) to VERY interactive in the extra game play. The mini games weren't too hard so I was able to complete most of them and there was not a lot of going backwards and forwards as some have suggested. I have downloaded a lot of trials in the last few weeks and not bought any of them apart from Unfinished Tales; illicit love ( which I was sorry I did). This one however just had that extra bing that made me buy it. It got better and better as I played and I am about to play it again!! Good one Big Fish!!!

Elephant games are all excellently produced. They are long complicated and the mini games are always a challenge. I have bought almost all of their products except the Surface games as I really didn't like them. I had one glitch which is so unusual for Elephant as they test their games so well they run like clockwork no matter what computing issues you have and I have a heap. It seemed on this one though they were targeting a different audience. It had a Dark Parables feel to me which I felt they were trying to copy and frankly not well. If they want to attract this audience they need to adapt other areas of game play. It also was similar to Princess Isobella : A Witches Curse without the annoying fairy. Also I felt the sizing of the animals was all over the place. I think they should stick to what they do best Hallowed Legends; Mystery Trackers, Grim Tales and let the Dark Parable dev's do the fairytales which is why for my first rating for Elephant I can in all honesty only give four stars. Overall however I would recommend this game even if the storyline was not my cup of tea. Elephant always produce excellent games and I can say that if you play the demo you will end up buying it as I did

I love this series and although Raincliff was my absolute favourite this game is without doubt excellent and definitely worth the money for the CE as the bonus content is full of challenge and excitement and has a diiferent storyline which looks as if it will be followed up in the next episode in the series. I am not in the sightest bit surprised this has gone straight to number one and they have not forgotten those on Apple and have brought out the Mac version at the same time. As with most of the games from this developer, there are heaps of things to do in each scene. The puzzles always try to be different with a variety of levels of challenge.The HO scenes are all well done and cleverly interactive. The cut scenes and VO's are as always excellently done and the shock factor which this series is famous for, had me leap out of my chair on a number of occasions. Graphics as always crisp and clear. There is no interactive map and although there is a bit of running backwards and forwards this did not concern me much. Overall an enjoyable game and I for one will be looking forward to the next installment!
I recommend this game!

I know people like reviewers to have played the whole game before they review but honestly I wasn't going to waste my money on this one just so I could review it. The intro was the best bit in it and promised a good game. Unfortunately the graphics as someone else said were just AWFUL and not up to the usual standard I have come to expect from the highly rated games on Big Fish. I personally did not mind the storyline or the minigames and would at least liked to have finished the demo but I couldn't cope with all the poor features for example no change of symbol from touch to look just a poorly drawn hand all the time. The inventory items were also very crudely done. It seemed odd as the characters were well drawn as were some of the street scenes. All in all a disappointment.
I don't recommend this game.

This is a true adventure game with a few HOS 's in it. The graphics are truly fabulous and I love how you can move in a panaoramic view in a lot of the scenes. The storyline was compelling and based on a connection between the events in London ( Jack the Ripper) in the 1800's and a present copycat killer in present day Chicago. There are not a lot of things to do in any one scene but in adventure game style there are many places to go and investigate. I loved everything about this game and bought it after the trial.
I recommend this game!
Follow the kidnapper's clues, rediscover Sarah's past and bring her brother back to safety in this action packed Hidden Object game!

I play heaps of these hybrid games and could not understand why it has only been given 3 stars. I have just finished the whole game and think that you just can't please some people or they just don't like these sort of games. However I agree it could have been better so I have not given 5 but 4 stars. The reasons are:- the translation was poor in some areas, the HOS's did not close after you had completed everything in them which was annoying, the initial repetition of dialogue, the hint button did not always function correctly and the change from real actors to cartoon which were poorly drawn. That being said, the graphics are awesome, the storyline was somewhere between Asylum Conspiracies and Abducted and I loved it. The HOS's were all good and you were not returning constantly to the same areas and you certainly did not have a lot of hand holding at all even in normal which I played on. Above all I could not say anything was "easy" I found all the puzzles challenging enough for me. As someone said reviews are subjective so I reccommend playing the demo right the way through before deciding whether to buy
