Playing this before buying it, and I'm into it ten minutes and ready to purchase! This is the kind of game I love to play: lots of puzzles and HO's, and none of the cinematic fluff that gets in the way of game play. Too many developers these days want to make movies and forget that this is a game website! Love this one, and glad to spend my money on it.
The positive? I'm struggling here. I just don't like this game. The developers, I'm sure, spent time creating the game, but it feels like they phoned it in. There are so many great games out there, and it wouldn't have taken too much more to make this more exciting and interesting. I feel like I've wasted my money. Sorry.
This game kept me occupied for quite a while, and that's one of the reasons I invest in games. My favorites are those I can go back and play again, and enjoy for multiple times. I'm not so intrigued, however, with games that use the "shapes" for hidden object scenes. I feel it's a lazy way to create these puzzles. I also am very tired of the hunt for more "shapes" to pop into slots that lead me further into the game. Yes, the scenes were just fine, and the characters are there, but I would like to see something more creative.

Okay, at first, in the beginning scenes, I was prepared to be disappointed because of the time taken to set up the story and introduce the two characters. I thought it was going to be a real click-y game which would have bored me. Surprise!! I loved it! The story moved perfectly, using the two characters both together, and then separately. They come back together again for the final push. I loved the house with its many rooms, and the puzzles were both interesting and challenging. A few of them were easy and kept me feeling like I wasn't completely useless! I'm so glad I bought this game!
This game is gorgeous in artwork. The puzzles are tricky and required lots of thought. Other than those elements, this game drove me crazy! Too much dialog I had to click through...a story line that had too many unanswered rabbit trails...too many trips to find objects that needed to go somewhere else...just way too much of a good thing. I really wanted to like the game, but I found myself being frustrated and bored at the same time. Sorry!

I'm really surprised at the high ratings this game received. I am usually a big fan of Five-BN Games, and I try to purchase every new one that is released. I would have to say that this one, for me, was a non-starter. There are just too many differing elements that seemed to be present just for the sake of having a lot of stuff going on, such as runes, runes, and more runes. I also have to agree with the review that mentioned the poor grammar. If a game is going to be released with English subtexts, please spell check and do a grammar check before you publish. Perhaps I've done too many of these, but my all-time favorites are still the New York mysteries with the subway tunnels. Those games flowed and made sense. This newest Legacy is simply not grabbing my interest. Sorry! I'll say "No" to a recommendation, but I would like to say "Not really."

This developer is my favorite! All their games are chock full of story, scenes, puzzles and fun! I have loved every one of the games I've purchased, and will keep on buying them as long as they develop games of this quality. I get hours and hours of playtime, and never get bored.

I love all of the series of New York Mysteries for several reasons: Great stories that hold together; puzzles and ihops that work well within the stories; cut scenes and cinematics that are NOT irritating and are actually enjoyable to watch; interesting dialog and voice-overs from the characters; very nice graphics; and a great interactive map that shows you exactly where you need to go for tasks to complete. This developer knows how to craft a great game, and I really hope they keep it going!
I can't say enough about this game. I'm a person who is annoyed by cut scenes and cinematics, but everything in this game works perfectly together. The puzzles and hidden object games are very well done, and there are lots and lots of them. The hidden object games are not the usual find this and that, but interactive and more fun. Hours and hours of play time, great scenes, and all in all, just about a perfect game.

First, it is a very nice game, progresses nicely, great puzzles, okay HO's, and good music and artwork. My only disappointment that I saw during the demo, is the lack of a ghost! This is Haunted Hotel, and I was dismayed to see something like an alien snatching my lady friend. This wasn't what I expected: something creepy! I have several Haunted Hotel games, and I wish the developers wouldn't rely on the alien theme. I can't recommend it yet, because the trial was so short.
