Elephant Games is typically my favorite developer but the graphics quality of this game is ridiculous. It's nothing more than a cartoon. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come. I'll be passing on this purchase. While I realize that this is an ongoing free to play game that many love, this particular iteration is just plain BAD...IMHO.
Elephant Games has always been my favorite developer. I almost always buy their games without a trial first. That proved to be a big mistake this time. I don't know what happened but the characters and cut-scenes in this game are absolutely awful. They are done like a kid's fairy tale instead of a Grim Tales story. Further, the female voice-overs are equally bad. Seeing as how game quality keeps tumbling across the board on BFG, I'm pretty much done with buying CEs. I'll just wait for the SE and a good sale from here on out.
This game was mediocre at best for me. The cut-scenes and moving graphics are pathetic though. I don't know what happened to this developer. They used to do a really good job in those areas, but not any longer. Further, with such a small download size, I doubt there is more than an hour and half of gameplay. I'll likely wait for the SE on this one or use a coupon. As always, I suggest trialing before buying.
I'm not usually a big fan of Eipix games because of fuzzy graphics on larger screens. That said, they did a very nice job on this game and the fuzziness issue seems to be much less of an issue also. (Think that is due to the darker tones). They also seem to have reverted to their previous type of graphics (Yay!) At any rate, the story was engaging and the puzzles were medium to difficult in complexity. More like this EIPIX!
First, this developer has moved to being my favorite. All of their games are engaging and the cut scenes are very well done and this is one of the best yet in those areas. Most of the other developers should take their cue from these guys. I bought the game and I'm about one hour into it. I haven't regretted so far and so no reason that I will. Graphics are on the order of what I personally require for a 5 star game. (I don't give 4 or 5 star ratings very often.) Based on all of this. I recommend this game. But each person is different, so I always suggest trialing before buying.
My hat is off to the developer for a well done game. So many of my recent reviews have been 1-2 star ratings because the games have gotten so bad lately. Thankfully, this is an exception. The larger developers could definitely take a cue from these guys. One small gripe is that movement of characters definitely could have been enhanced. Hopefully, with the success of this game, the developer can take care of that issue in future games. Beyond that, I gladly both recommend it and give it 5 stars.
This is a short review. This game scores a 100 for the cheese factor and a 0 for graphics quality. At one time this developer did great in graphics quality, but no any longer.
Yet another Eipix game. This is the 3rd Eipix game in a row with all of the same problems...poor graphics, monotonous tasks, and the same cookie-cutter format. I've noticed also that each new game is shorter than the one before. I didn't complete the trial for this game but, based on my progress, I suspect the game would last around 2-3 hrs tops. This is NOT a 5 star game and I won't be buying it. Each person is different, so give the trial a spin.
This has got to be one of the most boring games I've played in a long time. I gave the demo a fair amount of time but I just couldn't find a reason to finish it. Eipix used to create fairly engaging stories but they seem to have lost their way these days. The graphics quality seems to have taken several steps backward as well. Everyone has different tastes, so give the demo a try to see if you like it...and I do recommend you trial this one first.
This game bored me to the extreme in short order. I uninstalled the demo at about the half-way point. The cookie-cutter feel along withe same repetitive tasks as their other games just caused me to lose interest quickly. As always demo it for yourself. Everyone has different tastes. An aside note to BFG - adding some new developers to your lineup would be a good thing.
