I have all the Dark Tales games and with the exception of only 1, I have always found them fun and nicely challenging, and this one is is the same. Det Dupin gets a little "rougher" looking over the years, but I found the game challenging with some new twists and turns.
I am not a mini game player, but I will play one if they are simple, and I found several of these I skipped over because they did present more of a challenge than I wanted to deal with. The hidden object games had some new tricks too.
All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed the game and a bit confused by the low marks...
I love the Rescue Team games but this one was a waste of money. Level 12...can't finish it and the forum is locked so I am unable to get help with the solution. Waste of money this one since I cannot skip the level and move on. Time to delete. Why has Big Fish locked their forum?
I've played similar games which were actually a lot of fun so I took a chance with this one.....not fun. Game is constantly interrupted with "clicking too much"...mostly because the items are almost impossible to find sometimes.
When you earn enough money, the "room" you are building is really kinda ugly. No, sadly, I find this game no fun at all and I play without a timer...can't imagine adding another distraction to it.
This might have been a good game if not for being so slow and monotonous. Very boring...same-o over and over again. Hint is the slowest recharge I ever encountered. Items can be VERY small and the game is just a bit on the blurry side. I assume this may be a very old game.
I love these games and have them all, but I've had always refused to buy CE because they are basically a waste of money....this one even more. Finished the regular game and tried to play they additional CE games and cannot get them to play...clicking on them goes nowhere.
So I just got taken again by the CE promises. Good thing it was on 60% off. Just get the standard game...you aren't missing anything.
I love match 3 games, but this game requires so many points to get a power-up that it becomes "not fun at all". Just a lot of clicking, and clicking to get enough of what is required to build the city and build up points for a power up.
I found this game enjoyable, but one of the most challenging. Lots of different types of "stumbling" blocks to overcome that I haven't encountered the years I play match 3. Can be frustrating; I don't think I would suggest this for a beginner match 3 player.
The "help" is helpful, but you need to remember all the tricks for all the different movements. The game does allow you to skip a level which is nice. I always use the no hassle/no timer option so I'm not sure if this has other options...if it does, good luck with that!
Despite all that, I find the game an enjoyable break from the typical match 3....keeps me thinking all the time. Great strategy game.
I found this time management game interesting in that like most time management games which start out easy and then become more difficult, you basically don't get that pass in this game which can become a challenge for stars right away.
Only issues as far as I've played it is how the "power-ups" are handled which is a bit confusing. Colorful, fun game and a buyer for me.
