I have a lot of the Witches Legacy series and enjoy them all. I found this game to be unique and a bit of a challenge at time. Transporter map is excellent and the options tab let you set the hint and skip to refresh quickly.
There are regular puzzles of which I skipped most the time (not a puzzle person) and smaller, easier puzzles which appear during game play that are fun. HOS allowed you to switch to match 3 if you don't like the seek and find way. I found them pretty standard with some interaction.
You did move around a lot in this game, the pick up and item and deposit it somewhere else, but the transporter map made that much less irritating.
Voice-overs were a little corny and "Jack" gets way too excited. I always turn off music so I can't comment on that. I rarely sit and play a game straight through, but this appeared to be a good length.
First off, I want to warn those who have issues with flashing light, this may not be a game you would enjoy. I do not have that problem but the flashing light that would appear randomly was beginning to affect me.
Instructions were pretty vague. Not that match 3 needs a lot of instructions, but this one had some different things to it. Right at first when it said what had to be cleared (blue and yellow), I could not see the square color so I though it meant the item in the square...finally I was able to see the square color, and it didn't say anything about the stars.
There was no shuffle or notice there were no more moves so if the hint just didn't respond, that was your only clue. Didn't tell you the game was over either, just kept bringing the same game board until I figured out it must be the end and when I exited the game board, there was a big sign that the game was finished. Good grief.
Kind of a builder game as you had to fill Santa's sled and build a funky forest with trees. HOS were very easy. The game was basically without much need for strategy, although some levels could be tricky. I didn't play with a timer so it may have posed a bigger challenge if I had.
I have several of this series and always enjoy playing them, however I do not play with the timer as I believe that would be a really frustrating challenge considering how long it takes me at times to complete a level!
A lot to do, but I really get tired of all the dialog...very disrupting. Some strategy is required in the upper levels even when playing sans the timer.
I really enjoyed this game. It was definitely a lot like the Laruaville series, no doubt about that only this one wasn't quite as challenging. I didn't play with a timer, but maybe with a timer it would not seem to be as easy.
Got tired of the card game so after three skips, the game let me eliminate playing any further games, which I thought was great. Unlike the first Laruaville, you didn't win any more gold points for playing them anyway.
A long match 3 and I really enjoy building the city. A really good game for those who enjoy match 3 without dealing with a timer, but still have a bit of a challenge.
The first game I ever played on Big Fish Games was the original Fishdom game. I thought it was great! One of the best things I remember was being able to chose how to decorate the aquarium and then eventually be able to change that aquarium. Well, with this version, that didn't happen and I eventually got bored with re-decorating the same ole aquarium. New aquariums would appear for purchase, but the one I kept getting was just the same ole aquarium.
Not sure if this was just some kind of a glitch with my download or what but it just wasn't fun anymore.
I played relaxed and the game eventually became tricky enough that I was glad I wasn't on a timer, but that took awhile. Game boards eventually begin to duplicate themselves, but that doesn't surprise me considering the amount of levels.
So, I quit after the same aquarium came up for the 5th time. Not any fun anymore. It would have been better if at least the tank changed. Buy the other fishdom games instead.
Great game for Christmas players. Still a challenge but the Christmas theme makes it especially fun. I recommend this entire challenging series for anyone you likes a challenge in their match 3 games.
I have all 5 of this very exciting and challenging match 3 series, however, this one is my least favorite. In the other games, you can collect gold coins in the puzzles...not this one, so it got to the point I just skipped them to keep the game moving along.
There are a lot of card games, which are more difficult than the other games in this series, so no gold? Why frustrate myself. The HOS and find the difference puzzles are a challenge too.
This series is not for the faint of heart, there is so much going on and you have to keep alert and strategize. Fun games.
I still think the little ghosts are a bit funky though.
I started out thinking this was going to be just another simple match-3 game. Lots of dialog which you can just skip, but the game, although it starts out fairly simple gets more aggressive as you move along.
I played relaxed, I cannot even imagine what it would be like to play in a timed mode...not even going to give it a try. As you move toward the upper levels you will be battleing not only spider webs but "imps" as they multiply on your game board faster with each level.
I finally got through the last 3 levels, but it took a few retires and a lot of strategy. Fun game, but not for someone who wants to just cruise through a match-3 game.
I didn't get very far into the demo because I not only found the game awkward and not smooth, but way too much dialog. Hardly any gameplay because it was constantly being interrupted by really a lot of annoying dialog.
Didn't take long to know, despite all the great reviews that this game was going to drive me nuts.
First, I'm not a fan of this kind of match 3; second I got a bout 5 levels in and couldn't get passed it...tried a dozen times and by that time I figured this wasn't a game worth spending money on.
Points add up slowly to purchase things for the garden/home/or whatever, so even that part wasn't any fun. Not worth wasting a credit or money on in my book.
