Love the Grim Tales series and this was no exception. Although a bit "dark" in the sense its based on a jilted lovers intense hate for his childhood girlfriend, its still entertaining and quite long for a SE.
I used the transporter hint most of the time for moving around; it was just easier than using the map and both the hint and skip were very quick to refresh. Enjoyed the storyline and the gameplay was smooth. Some scenes were wide and you had to move from side to side which took some getting used to.
HOS were entertaining and varied and the puzzles were fine too. I actually did most of them. After I figured out the paint pallet I enjoyed that too and thought it was an interesting concept to the game. All in all, its a 5 star. The only con was the ending was a bit abrupt, but it closed the game nicely. I'm sure the CE expands more, but it's not worth paying double the price for.
I recommend this game!

Totally enjoyed this game. Excellent graphics, color and animations...even the voice-overs were good. Interesting storyline and smooth gameplay.
HOS were interesting and at times a bit challenging with an option to do a puzzle if you didn't want to do the HOS or complete it. Mini puzzles were interesting, but I'm not a puzzle doer so I did skip some of them. Custom options allow you to refresh the skip and hint quickly which really helps in some cases.
Transporter map was excellent! This was an SE so I imagine the CE may develop the ending a bit, but it ended well anyway. Definitely worth the money as it was a long game for a SE. Highly recommend if you enjoy HOS/Adventure games.
I recommend this game!

Played the whole demo on timed mode and found it to be pretty boring. Not much skill or strategy required. Graphics and color were good, but it was definitely lacking in good gameplay. Even the "builder" part of it was dull.
I don't recommend this game.

Another Riddles of Fate which I thoroughly enjoyed. Great voice-overs, graphics and animations. Enjoyed the storyline. HOS were fun and easy and the puzzles were enjoyable to play too. I used the transporter hint to move around as the map was a bit unclear and not as fast.
No option to customize game mode so the casual mode worked fine as the skip and hint refreshed quickly. I give this game a 5 out of 5 and recommend.

After playing through a few not so good games this past week, I stumbled across this gem. There is nothing I can say negative about it. Fantastic gameplay, excellent voice-overs, graphics, color and animations. Certainly plan to look up another Riddles of Fate game as it appears there must be another. Highly recommend.
I did, however use the transporter hint to move around; it was a bit faster than using the map. Custom options allowed you to set hint and skip to refresh quickly. Puzzles were fun and different as was the storyline.
I recommend this game!

I have all the Dark Tales: Edgar Allen Poe series and have enjoyed playing them all, but I found this one very awkward and confusing gameplay. Almost like it was quickly put together without much thought...sort of "Its Friday night and I want to get out of here" kind.
HOS were fine, but I skipped almost all the puzzles. Not much of a puzzle player. The game offered a Custom setting so you could set the hint and skip to refresh quickly. Transporter map was good, but took a little getting used to.
Color, voice-overs, animations were very good, but the storyline was confusing. The ending was abrupt and awful and I totally didn't understand it. Who was the real killer? Good grief. How sad this game was compared to the rest. I purchased it on a special but would have been very upset if I had paid full price. Maybe the CE explained things better. Also, it was kind of a short one.
I don't recommend this game.

I've always thought I was pretty good at most match 3 games and usually can get levels completed even with a timer after I figure out what strategy to use. Unfortunately I'm giving this one up after I've tried to get beyond level 72 about 30 times. Just not fun anymore and when a game gets so difficult that trying to beat the timer to move on becomes stressful gameplay its time to bag it.. I think the buzz word here is game"play" which this one isn't anymore. How sad because I was actually enjoying this game.
I don't recommend this game.

I love the Ravenhurst series. The original Ravenhurst was my first BF game. However, this one is truly awful to play. Its been years since I've had to use a walkthrough which are inconvenient and cumbersome. There is NO hint in this game except in the HMS....yes, not HOS but scenes in which you have to find morphing objects which I really dislike anyway. If you click to many time, it returns your last item; VERY frustrating. Hint is slow and scenes are so dark you can't even see them morph. This really slows the game down and is very frustrating.
No map, so you just click until you can figure things out. Inventory bar bounces up and down and is curved and fills up too full to see what you have. Another frustration.
I am sad to say, I am not going to put myself through this kind of frustration to catch the next episode. Glad I only wasted a credit on this. Yuck, into the garbage with this one.
I don't recommend this game.

Old school match 3 but as I played I realized just how hard this series of match 3 can get. Starts off really simple but by the time you've finished, you have had quite the challenge. Timer is fairly generous but still, after about 20 days or so, you are applying strategy skills. It all has to do with how you used the power ups by the time you finish. I made it but only had 1 life left!
Way too much narrative which took me awhile to see the "skip" at the top left corner. Drove me nuts. Game was stretched out across my wide screen, but the game board was easy to play although not real crisp. All in all, I really enjoyed this game and certainly feel it was challenging.
I recommend this game!

This game had to rate in the top 5 of my most favorite Adventure/HOS games. No doubt about it, it was far above other games I've played. Amazing animations, great voice overs, fantastic graphics and color, unusual story...on and on. Kudos to the developers.
Long game and I loved every minute of gameplay. Transporter map was excellent and needed. Options allowed you to set the refresh time to 1 sec which I did. Puzzles/mini games were varied and somewhat confusing at times.
HOS were completely interactive and interesting and fun to play...nothing can I say bad about this game.....except the ending...the ending was a total bummer and from what I can read about the CE it doesn't expand on the SE whatsoever...so no need to go there. Another sequel set up and I really hate those.
I recommend this game!
