Small warning: this game has the annoying tile that changes icons so one can choose which icon to play. Blink, blink, blink.
I feel honest sympathy for the posters who enjoy the challenges of limited times or moves because the game is Relaxed setting only, but since I can no longer play with the challenge settings, this game will do just fine for folks like me and our kids/grandkids.
And fortunately, I did not play this dev's last Match3, so I was not frustrated by any sameness. I know too well how nettling that can be, as this is not the only studio to pull that trick.
Really, I'm having a good time and just bought the game with a coupon. There's nothing new here, it's just an ordinary M3, but still, it is a welcome relief from stress of our planet's current "carbon unit" misadventures.
I recommend this game!

I was doing my best to hold off buying the game until next month, but ay-ay-ay, Big Fish held a BOGO. Who can resist a buy-one-get-one when you can't wait to play a game. :D
I'll admit there is very little mystery in this episode, but I had a great time anyway. The puzzles include all my favs (see penmom's review for the list), and it was great to revisit all those villains - don't EVEN use the name "Dalimar" around me.
It was nice to see Ankou again, as regardless of any mischief she may produce, she is a wonderfully designed creature from an excellent episode. Besides, the real villain in that tale is the soldier.
And of course, what a joy to see Madam Fate, the penultimate character for all MCF fans. I am really impressed with her role in this episode and the Bonus game.
For those of you who have never played a Mystery Case File adventure, you will experience an intriguing introduction to some unforgettable characters, and a tease for the games in which they are principles. By all means, go have fun!
I recommend this game!

Based on Main Game and Bonus Game.
This adventure goes beyond a simple image of a Maori warrior, and that's a good thing. I enjoyed the learning experience mixed into the game play.
Though a good play, Reign of Flames falls short of a great game for anyone who has been playing casual games for more than a few years.
On the bright side, there are one or two new mini games; however, Domini appears to be locked in on standard challenges - feed/find toys for the critters, fix the bridge, and other time worn, predictable chores.
I did have to use Hints a few times and did enjoy myself most of the time, but all in all for me this was just a game to get through - no surprises, no eye-popping moments, very little amazing scenery, stunning stupidity at times... I just get the feeling that once the storyline was established, the game was thrown together in quick time with sub-par quality control on both the Domini side and the Big Fish team side.
NOTE TO DEVS: If you are intent on throwing in non-sensical, goofy actions, you have to set the scene for it or the magic of the fantasy is broken.
I recommend this game!

I'm a Paint by Numbers/Art by Numbers fan (can't get enough of 'em) so I thought I'd give this one a whirl.
Oh my. The images are truly stunning, plus you never know what you're going to get and sometimes you have to hunt around to find something that looks like it might align. It may be waay over on the left or waay over on the right. I really like that part.
If you play Adventure HO games, you will be familiar with the base concept - spin the shapes until the image lines up. But this is not only way more colorful than those puzzles, you can get a bit lost in the display while hunting for the image. Swirling the dots is eye candy in of itself.
If your days are filled with multi-stresses like mine, this is ideal for keeping in your Game Manager to pull up for some zen relief.
I recommend this game!

Based on the demo.
I'm an old Boomzap fan, and am finding this one to be intriguing. For a change, the searches have a purpose: where oh where are the Harcourt antiques?
Besides the mystery storyline and the bright HOS's, the dialogs are surprisingly real in that they are written the way people actually talk and think and the characters are quite interesting.
I love the unique items to find, definitely not the same old-same old.
All in all, this Boomzap edition is utterly charming and I look forward to continuing to discover where the antiques have gotten off to and to uncovering why they've disappeared to begin with.
I recommend this game!

I don't know how I missed this edition by the same developer as Paint by Numbers. It's everything I wished for in my reviews!
The palettes are awesome, and I truly appreciate the canvas-colored background. It sure makes the images pop.
I also really like the thumbnail that appears on last fill in as it far from the miniscule rendition offered in other paint by numbers games. So, so pretty.
Speaking of pretty, the first level selection is a total delight, meaning the next levels will be a dream to color.
@ the dev: Please give us more like this. You've made me very, very happy.
I recommend this game!

I thought the 4th in the series would never get here, I was that impatient to play the next rendition.
Being able to sweep across sections to apply a layer of color is wonderful, and bravo on the background music.
The designs are joyful, a real pleasure to paint.
I do wish that there were fewer simple designs and a much broader palette that includes pastels. My favorite image remains the panther in the first edition, which was done in marvelous pastel shades.
It would also be nice to be able to contemplate the finished piece rather than have it immediately transform into a thumbnail on the last fill in element.
All in all, I'll keep buying this series at first sight because I love it.
I recommend this game!

Based on the demo.
tiny must go about finding things and tidying up so that he and Tall can forge a super, indestructible something to hold Loki's son, who will eat the world given half the chance.
The graphics are perfect for this kind of game, and the dialog is really funny. I am totally enjoying the gameplay and am off to buy it right now. Oh, and I love the background music.

Agreeing with another reviewer, I'm surprised that this one had so many kudos; it's as if the Beta Testers are asleep at the wheel lately, which may be understandable as Adventure games have become more predictable than a Perry Mason mystery. At least in those, figuring out "who done it" was a fresh puzzlement in every episode.
A fair percentage of the call-outs and helpful texts are way off. The Bonus Game is barely related to the main game in that all of a sudden the characters no longer look the same and the relationships are all skewed. Kinda' like tuning in to your fav soap only to find out the cast was changed overnight.
Altogether, the Main Game and the Bonus Game give one a sense that the devs, Quality Control, Beta Testers, and the ones who are supposed to make sure everything is coordinated no longer care about their audience. I guess they figure we'll play anything they throw at us, and by the number of 4 and 5 star reviews this one received, I guess they are right. How sad.
These days, I'm re-playing old games in my collection, some from 10 years ago when the competition for best game was hot and nobody was burned out.
I don't recommend this game.

... To see if I am the only one who is having the very devil of a time finding some of the objects. Glad to see that I'm not. Like Pennmom said, I thought it was going to be a kid's game.
I picked up this game shortly after midnight and only put it down because I had to. Couldn't wait to get back to it this morning!
The graphics are really enjoyable, the lively little tune is perfect, and man oh man is it a challenge.
SPOILER ALERT
It took me 2 scenes before I realized that I have to find the items sitting on the tree stumps on either side of the items list. Have yet to figure out what the items in blue are, but finding them is not the usual solution.
I recommend this game!
