Not sure what to do with this one. As others have pointed out, the storyline is quite whacky - to the point that my spouse, whom I started playing with, lost all interest in it. Nonetheless, I can see why it would be popular with other people.
Gameplay-wise, the game is what I call a "rummaging" game, which means that rather than finding the hidden objects with just your eyes, you're expected to search around the scene with your cursor, open a bunch of closets, cupboards, drawers, and so on, in order to find what you're looking for.
I recommend this game!

A pretty standard HOG, following the "Ravenhearst model". (In each chapter, a few locations are "open", and you need to find most of the objects in each location, in a given period of time, to move on.)
The movie tie-in is, in my opinion, fairly artificial. However, the storyline itself is still pretty engaging.
I don't recommend this game.

The plot is rather thin, though it could appeal to fans of the Blood Ties TV series.
I don't recommend this game.

This was my very first HOG, and to me it set a standard that many other games can't achieve.
Gameplay-wise, note that the game doesn't use list of objects. You get a picture of the object, but not necessarily from the angle shown in the scene. You progress in the game by finding hot spots, and then "unlocking" those spots by finding the items shown.
I recommend this game!
