I am very wary of those who give 5 star glowing reviews to a 2 star game that is difficult to play, and it is their one and only review. At least do another review so that it is not suspect.... also play some of the other 4-5 star games and see what is missing in this one...maybe you'll be able to develop a better game in the future. This game is difficult to find areas of interest, I clicked everywhere to find hidden object scenes and other areas or where to go. It drove me crazy, trying to find out how to keep my wine-soaked map from continuing to blow into the wine everytime I picked it up. If it were not for the walkthrough, I would have given up and deleted the game. The storyline intrigued me enough to want to see where the game was going. It focuses on your first trip to France in 1626 where you meet a musketeer and save his life, and bandage his bleeding arm. I had to use several hints just to make a bandage, and the walkthrough to complete this task. As the musketeer heads off to save the queen, you find a diamond necklace on the ground, which you should have left there... You won't make it this far without lots of help, you'll be using hint assists to find other areas, that clicking doesn't. The hidden object searches are boring, items are hidden behind other objects and this makes it frustrating. No real directions are given. The minigames are same-o same-o, nothing unique, nothing that stands out to make this a great game. The game is short, not much game play as you try to return the necklace to avoid a temporal breach in time. You take a few trips to India and a Mayan pyramid, and it's not clear how that fits with a necklace from France. I would say to avoid wasting time and play the demo before you waste your money.
I don't recommend this game.

Nightmares from the Deep: The Cursed Heart Collector's Edition
Dive into an epic journey as a museum owner in pursuit of an undead pirate who has kidnapped your daughter in Nightmares from the Deep: The Cursed Heart!
I love this game, from the time you outfit the pirate, placing the tools found in the deep along with the Captain's body, (and of course, you know better), to searching and trying to rescue your daughter aboard the pirate ship as it sails it's way to the Skull Island hideout. Love the artwork, blends in nicely with the HO searches, love the humor of the shipmates aboard the boat. Priceless. Whoever designed this game had a sense of humor. I hope it continues once I purchase the game. I played the demo and am ready to sail the seven seas.
I played the demo. I kept clicking on the hammer and it would not pick it up in the HO search. I finally clicked on the crow bar and it was selected.... for the curve and I looked everywhere and finally used a hint and it picked up the mouse. I figured this would be a good game, but I can't play a game that is so off like this one.
Most bubble popping games are quick and fun, just point and shoot. This game is so incredibly slow and awkward. The balls that are left dangling do not drop off, instead they are pushed upwards to fit in the row. No quick on the fly game play with this one. I thought it would be a cute game, since the characters are anime-like. I couldn't even finish the first level before deleting the game. Play the demo first before buying!
This is one of the worst puzzle games I've played. The pieces don't even look like they fit together so it's a hit and miss kind of puzzle. You put the pieces near each other and hope they snap togeter. Jigsaw puzzles are one of my favorite game types. I wish they would consider making the pieces distinct and clear. I love all of the puzzle games, but I can't play this one. My favorite puzzle game is Jigsaw Puzzle Platinum. You can even make a puzzle out of your own pictures. And you can modify the puzzle to have more pieces and special pieces, like a dog or cat or star, etc. I took one of the existing puzzles and made it over 3,000 pieces, uhhh and now they are so tiny it's an eye strain. Oh well, it is fun. I like the game play in jigsaw boom, it allows for edges only and also rotation. I'd rather use my mouse instead of the spacebar to rotate though. And sometimes when you grab a puzzle piece to rotate the entire puzzle will rotate. I am sticking with the puzzle games that are great, Jigsaw Puzzles (Platinum, Gold, Nature, etc. *no edges only#, Super Jigsaw games #Beach Holiday 2, Wyland) and Jigsaw Galore. They are clear and easy to match pieces together. They allow adding more pieces and rotation of pieces. Just a better made puzzle game!
I could never play those games by HdO. They were too horrible. This one is alot better, but it's a very basic HOG. The story is okay, and the reporter character is decent. Very simplistic game. You find objects on the list which are usually 20 of one item. Not a bad game, just not up to par with the games and stories and characters out there today. But if this is an Hdo game, it's a big improvement!
Played the Collector’s Edition and fell in love with this game and had to buy it. I usually don't buy the CE, since I hate to pay twice as much for a game, and it's not worth it! I broke down and bought this one!!! The graphics, and artwork, and cut scenes were beautiful. Very well done. The game play was excellent, not too easy, very logical. Some were hard, but clicking around and looking for the sparkles helped a lot. Having the stategy guide helped as well. I love the story and it was presented well in the game play. I tried the previous games since I so love this game and didn't care for the earlier Azada games. They were not as good as this latest one. This one is tops in the HOG arena. I hope they continue to produce such quality in future games. I would definitely buy them!
I was looking at the reviews for this game and was suprised that it was well liked. I did not care for this HOG and rate it as average. The music is fine, the graphics are fine, the game is so-so. During the game play, you have to find coins to earn the map location. This was great so that you didn't have to backtrack. The puzzle games were easy and nothing new. I did like the capturing of the mouse and then using him to power up a generator. This is not really a give away, as the generator does state that. I thought the finding pieces of an item in each scene was a great feature and fun, the object you are searching for is displayed on the screen until you find all the pieces, and it is annoying that it blocks the scene (but not the pieces). There are about 7-8 pieces that make up the item, and they are radomly placed about the scene, and not very well hidden. So it is not a challenging game, but might be fun for some. I was able to complete 2 rooms in the demo. Maybe the rest of the game gets better?
This game might appeal to the very young, if they can manuver the mouse to play it. The graphics are good, the story is cute, some of the hidden objects are hard to find, even with its magnification feature. There are no instructions about how to play the games, trial and error had me catapulting poor sheep off into the void... And I thought the shark ate a soldier... the game play is difficult and there are no clear direction, but it is different and cute. Just not for me.
This game is a great sequel to the first Maestro game. I love the interaction with the Paris soldiers. The characters are very well done, very engaging and enchanting. The story is excellent and the music is a perfect blend. I love the logical sequence of the game play, there is not alot of backtracking. The game is just a little too easy, maybe I should have played the hard version. I did have to use the built in guide for one of the puzzles. And I thoroughly enjoyed these minigame puzzles, they are so different and musical themed. Truly awesome!!! Somewhat a little easy, but so very enjoyable. The HO areas were great and very easy to find. I really like this game for it's story and the characters. it is well designed, well thought out and it's a definite buy! Keep these games coming!
