The Brothers Grimm have assigned the task of revealing the truth behind missing children in the town of Arbourshire; it is up to you to discover the secrets of the Fairy Tale Mystery, before it is too late.
The storyline is a variation on the Pied Piper of Hamelin - freeing lost souls who were abducted as children. The graphics are clear, the HO scenes extremely straightforward with no two stage HO's to find. Mini games are again straightforward. There are no achievements or collectable items. The bonus chapter ties up some loose ends. Not an enormous challenge but will provide distraction for a few hours
Rich in HO scenes and with an absorbing though sad storyline (I refuse to give away any spoilers!) this game will provide satisfying gameplay for a few hours. The graphics are good as are the VOs. The hint gives directional help and doesn't discharge unless pointing to a HO scene or an object or area of interest. An interactive map would have been a real plus as there is a fair bit of backtracking involved
I tried this game on casual level and found it held my interest. It concerns a missing friend, a talkative old lady and a werewolf. The storyline is clear enough. There are objects to find though few traditional HO scenes, rather a series of objects relating to a particular task have to be found in different locations. The graphics are clear and most things aren't too hard to find. The mini games `are absorbing and can be skipped after a wait. The hint button provides rather cryptic clues instead of highlighting things. There is a map, however it doesn't interact so no zooming into relevant areas, instead a fair bit of toing and froing.
I played this on casual mode and completed the bonus chapter having bought the game as I decided the game warranted purchasing once the demo ran out. Nice graphics, HO scenes not too cluttered and a series of turtles to collect (no I didn't get them all!). Very enjoyable
This is a fun ERS game with a storyline about love and werewolves. I played in casual mode and I enjoyed the HOS which were clear on the whole, and the minigames. I turned off the music as I usually find music intrusive. It's not a graphically realistic game but that doesn't detract from it. The bonus chapter tied everything up nicely and added a couple of new locations.
I played this demo for 20 minutes, and a large chunk of that time was given over to cutscenes. Shakespeare is tasked with reading his working script of Romeo and Juliet to a young girl, and from this premise the story takes off, leading you to find objects needed to complete tasks. The graphics are quite good, but the VOs are too long. THere are puzzles to complete but frustratingly they are not explained other than to outline the overall aim. There is no hint. In summary, a rather unsatisfactory experience and I won't be buying it

This was one of those games I just didn't want to stop playing. It begins with an abduction at sea, so part of the story involves rescuing the investigator's partner. It's a complex story - possession of crew members by evil spirits, looking for "found" objects, also searching for parts of a calendar and hummingbirds. Thankfully there is a fully interactive map which shows active locations and takes you straight there. Other developers please note!! The graphics are really good and some of the monsters are quite offputting, in a good way.All in all a very immersive game
I tried the demo on the easiest level and found this was a nice game with good graphics and a good storyline. The hint recharged quickly and provided help outside HO scenes. THe puzzles weren't too challenging. I couldn't see why it merits CE status as there was no bonus story - so perhaps wait for the standard edition to come out.
This is a nice game for HO aficionados. The story begins in a familiar way - crashing on an island - but the story develops OK and the graphics are nice and clear. The hint button charges in good time on casual mode, though there was a fair bit of toing and froing. An interactive map would have been much appreciated. The bonus story was short but wrapped up the ends nicely.
I knew I would buy this game as soon as I started it. It's by Blue Tea, a big positive as their games are amazing. The story will suit adherents of fantasy - in a mythical world havoc has been wreaked and you have to restore order by collecting a series of artefacts. The HOG scenes are of the part object type, and challenging without being murky. I played on easy mode, I like to play to relax, and found this suited me, hint recharges quickly. Diehards will want to play on a more challenging level. THe bonus story differed in theme somewhat but unlike many "bonus" stories it at least wasn't a reworking of the main story and added to the overall story.
