Gorgeous graphics and skillfully-told storyline. Stuff starts happening right away and you find yourself in a mystery. Lots to do. Pleasant music and nicely-done voices. Did I say gorgeous graphics and locations and wonderful animations - especially liked the changing birds and flowers. Good ratio of HOS and puzzles. HOS are standard; wide variety of puzzles, not too difficult. Very good production values. An entertaining play.
I recommend this game!

Agree with KushkaW. Very lovely game with lots to do. If you don't like dialogue, you probably won't like it much because you sometimes have to talk to people to find out what needs to be done. Variety types of HOS and puzzles, which aren't too complicated. Like KushkaW, this would be much longer game for me than the 2 1/2 hours someone said the game was. I like to play casual and take in the well-crafted environments. I play to enjoy, not to see how fast I can finish. Game has very good production values and beautifully conceived and executed details. Can't wait for the ending, even though it's probably what I'd expect.
I recommend this game!

LENGTH: Over 6 hours on casual. I certainly liked the game a lot, but I was a little disappointed. I can’t pinpoint why – maybe my expectations were too high based on the demo and review. CE has achievements and goblins to collect.
STORY/INVENTORY: Skillfully told story – unfortunately, it’s the raven that tells it. He tries to sound old and feeble but fails terribly and his voice is ingratiating at best. The raven is also in your inventory to help you get objects that are too high to reach. Items which could be used more than once stayed in your inventory, which I like. But as usual, if you could adapt a tool to a task, you couldn’t – if a pincer was called for, that’s what you needed – not a pliers.
HOS: Not very many. List based. No problems finding objects.
PUZZLES: Very wide variety of them. Most of them were fun. Many of the instructions are awful though. Even after consulting the walk-through to see what the puzzle was about, the solution still made no sense with the instructions (such as trying to solve the puzzle to open the cash register). I hate that – use more words or examples when needed. Most puzzles can be skipped, but the cash register puzzle could not.
MAP INSTRUCTIONS: Map is interactive. Locations with tasks to perform will appear in color and you can travel there immediately. Ignore the legend in lower left – you won’t find any circles with the little arrow in the map.
BOOK OF FIRE AND RUINS: 5 magic runes appear magically on the left whenever you need to activate the Book of Fire to melt ice or fend off the menacing dog. You can put them in their proper locations in whatever order you want. If you can’t figure out where each goes, you can either use a hint which will tell you exactly where to put it, or you can use the map to see what locations are colored.
OTHER STUFF: Very nice sound effects. Lovely graphics. Many locations with a lot of back and forth (but the interactive map made it easy to travel). 3 modes of difficulty, which can be changed during play.
I recommend this game!

Outstanding story is a continuation of Final Cut - Death on Silver Screen. Your caring uncle and the circumstances certainly aren't what they seemed to be. Great graphics; voice overs are pretty good (could use a little more emotion). You can play casual, challenging and expert modes. Difficulty can be changed during play. Journal includes your objectives and map.
HOS are nicely done - well-detailed and not too crowded. Includes an option to play Match 3 if you don't like HOS. Puzzles aren't too difficult. Gameplay is straightforward - you generally know what you have to do next. Carefully crafted environment. Very nice entertaining game.
I recommend this game!

Refreshing change of pace. Very imaginative floral and animal artwork. Pleasure to look at. Nice adventure with cohesive story and a helpful hint system when you're stuck. Your guide is a bit too talkative for my taste. Provocative puzzles are usually unique and very well constructed - many take a little thought. The environments are carefully crafted, with a lot of attention to detail. Nice relaxing music.
I recommend this game!

Adventure game, not a HOG, so pick everything up. Story’s been done before – you end up at a house you’ve been dreaming about and must help ghosts who are trapped in the house find the peace they need to travel to the other side. Beautiful locations. There was a musician playing the piano during the Incan Warrior segment which was hilarious. I wish something similar happened in the other ghosts’ stories and felt let down that there wasn’t.
There are no hints so you must figure out what to do or use the built-in guide, which won’t spoil the rest of the game if you have to use it. The guide gives a short list, depending on where you are in the game, from to select and it will give you a hint about what to do and, if still stuck, give you further information on where or how to perform a task.
Some puzzles are standard while others are quite challenging and unique. The instructions are not always crystal clear. If stuck, you can use a joker (you get 2) or have the difficulty decreased. Puzzles can be replayed once the game is finished.
LENGTH: Took about 3 ½ hours, but I really take my time and am not too experienced in adventure games.
I recommend this game!

STORY: You’re a reporter with paranormal abilities sent to investigate stories of ghosts on an island near which the Queen Margaret capsized 60 years ago. Since ghosts appear to warn you that a mysterious shaman from the Queen Margaret is working black magic to summon humongous waves to ravage the island, you will have to find him by the time the next eclipse appears to save the island from destruction.
LENGTH: Almost 7 hours on very casual mode.
GAMEPLAY: This is an adventure game - you’ll find most of the story told through newspaper articles, notes and journal entries scattered around the island. You’ll therefore miss part of the story if you don’t click on any scrap of paper you see. There are no traditional HOS but there are morphing objects. You encounter ghosts throughout the game and must help them with something to release them. Most of the objects the ghosts need are in fragments. Once you have helped them, you get a wooden figure of the ghost which you place in the model ship and, in return, get another useful piece for pursuing your next objective. The puzzles are nothing new.
OTHER STUFF: 2 modes of play. 56 beyond objects, so about 1 per location. Automatic widescreen. Journal has the story and a map, which is not interactive. Map of the island is in quadrants and, once you move to the next quadrant, you don’t return. Map is also opposite of the actual gameplay (ex. Room is shown on the left in the map, but is actually on the right when in the game). Graphics are detailed and lovely to look at.
I recommend this game!

Spooky story - Love it! Don't even want to miss any part of the cutscenes, it's so cool! There are 14 chapters. Voice overs are very pleasant and natural sounding. The visual artwork is incredibly stunning. Extraordinary production values - in fact, everything is extraordinary about this game - can't say enough good things about it. Map shows where actions are needed and where there is nothing to do which I like. Really liked the first game, so I bought the CE which has FOUR bonus chapters and it is worth it. Wonderful game.
I recommend this game!

Lovely game, like the other Grim Tales games. HOS are not too crowded and objects have good visibility. Inventory items may be used more than once and therefore go back into inventory (so no more having to find another hammer because you seem to have lost the one you had when you used a couple locations ago). And there are many, many more fun puzzles than HOS. They vary in difficulty and variety and are not too difficult There's oodles to do in each location. especially when you discover the mirror. The well-constructed story gets quite intricate. Very, very good production values. A lot of fun to play and it will keep you happily busy for some time.
I recommend this game!

This is a cute, fun and easy game for kids. I liked it to begin with but soon became bored. There is no challenge for an experienced gamer. Colorful and bright. The ghosts will amuse kids. You earn coins by playing the match 3 and finding a number of hidden objects. You then use them to build your town. I would recommend if you have young children but not for yourself if you are a heavy gamer.
I recommend this game!
