I have enjoyed other Edge of Reality games but I am not a fan of this game and I seem to be in the minority. It was just an ok game. The collectibles were ridiculously easy to find but some morphing items did get a little difficult to find. Everyone seems to think this is a family game. One that you can play with your children. IMO children would get bored with it very quickly. There are countless notes to read and without them the story doesn't move forward. It is a slow moving game even for the short length of it. I called it quits in the middle of the bonus game and deleted it. If gorgeous scenery is what you are looking for, this game has that in spades. If the story is what you are looking for, I'm not impressed. The story is really a different take on the same old villain raging against humans in hopes to destroy us. The HOP'S were nothing different than what we have had in the past - interactive list finds and silhouettes. Mini-games were just so so.
If you are looking for a short, beautiful game then go for it but always try before you buy.

There is nothing extraordinary or surprising in this game. Not much challenge unless it is in finding an emblem, key, or amulet for the many, many, many (did I say many) places to use them. I can't imagine losing the key to your own purse. And why have a key for it anyway. I slogged through the entire game chasing the Black Rose Gang. The groom's voice was as irritating as any I've ever heard. However, the other voices were nice. Felt a bit sorry for poor Watson, but how did he managed to hang on to life so long when the bride met her demise quickly. Maybe the poison Watson had was a long acting one? No story I guess without chasing down the antidote.
The game is visually appealing with good graphics. I can't really comment on the music because its just background noise to me and I turn it off. Finding the collectibles was a bit of fun but they were mostly easy to find. As the game proceeded however, I thought the puzzle pieces became smaller and smaller.
Overall, this is just an okay game. Something to pass time with. Could play it with your kids or grand kids maybe.
Try it, you may love it like all the 5 star people did.

Since this review is based on the demo only, I can only give you my impression of that portion of the game. This is one of the worst of the Dark Romance series. But except for Curse of Bluebeard, all have been pretty grim. The demo itself contains enough of all the same old tasks and searches that I can't imagine what the rest of the game may be like.
The story is fairly interesting but is not well developed in the demo and this is not a "romance" game. The premise seems to be that two people fifteen years apart in time manage to find a way to communicate with each other and attempt to save the town from the greedy mine developer. The developer acts on the basis that one never has enough gold and therefore he is making a sinkhole of the entire town.
The graphics are different from the usual glaring colors of the other Dark Romance games and are easier on the eyes. No more bright emerald greens and ruby reds covering everything. This is one aspect of the game I found pleasing but not excellent.
As for the story, I hope it becomes more fleshed out as the game progresses past the demo, but I am not going to buy it to find out.
The HOP's and mini games are nothing different from what we have seen before.
This game isn't worthy for a rainy day or escape from COVID19. All I can say however is for you to try it. Others have given it 5 star ratings so they must have found something noteworthy about it.

The story may be the trite, same ole we have had before but I liked this game. I did not find it boring and I thought that it moved along at a good pace. Did revisit a few hidden object games a couple of times but they were good list finds. I thought some of the objects were very well hidden. The mini games were not mind numbing but required some thought. Some were easy. Collectible hour glasses did not always jump out at you, nor the morphing skulls. Using the color hour glasses at the end to paint a picture was better than collecting coins to buy things. My only little disappointment at the end of the game was that there was no achievement for collecting all the morphing skulls. The graphics were clear and detailed and looked like all the RC games. Voices were great. Music good. I'm sorry that other reviewers found the game such a disappointment. I enjoyed it. Try it before you buy it. You could hate it or enjoy it like I did. Show Less

Pirate Captain Phineas Crown is paranoid. Some of his crew have mutiny in mind and his answer is to kill them all. Or it could be that they want to steal all his treasure. Either way, there is no future for the pirate gang. All will die and a curse is placed on their soul. Even those loyal to the Captain have been killed and are cursed.
I enjoy MCF games and this one is my favorite so far. And this is the first HOPA that I have wanted to play again in a long time. The mini-games were not brain drainers and the hidden objects were camoflaged well.
The story may have been a little weak since there was not much explaining done about the girl and the black crown but it was not a dud by any means. Graphics were excellent. The only graphics I did not like were the swamp graphics. I can't comment on the music as I turned that down. I did not spend any time wondering where to go next in the game. This was a refreshing change from some where it seems the hint button must be used over and over. The morphs and collectibles were easily found. And finding the souvenirs was a piece of cake but I don't think that was meant to be a challenge. Just fun.
I enjoyed this game and had fun with it, but not every reviewer here did, so please try the demo.

This is my first review in a long time but felt I just had to comment on this game. There haven't been many games like this one in awhile. The entire game was everything you need in an engaging and refreshing experience. The only negative I found was the search for so many things needed to unlock so many doors, windows, bags, you name it. That became somewhat boring after awhile and resulted in the four stars I gave it. Other than that, I have to give the game excellent marks. I love the pawn store owner in the beginning and the stories he tells. I love the suspense you are left with wondering what could have happened to the Weavers and Katie. I think the Char Man is immortal. Don't go into the woods at night! or even day time! And what can be more frightening than being trapped in fire or being trapped anywhere by a lunatic who should have died many years ago. His endurance is mystifying and suggests he comes from a line of the Michael Myers type. Why is it that murderous lunatics never grow old and die? They keep coming back to terrorize us.
From the very beginning of the story, there is a feeling of dread. From the run down, shabby ranger station in the beginning to the seedy, grubby town and dark mining caves, the game delivers feelings of foreboding. One keeps wondering when the boogy man is going to pop out at you.
The bonus game is a prequel and very good. I would never investigate a town with the looks of Coldfell. The ending of the bonus game is baffling and more than a little grim.
The graphics were great. Detailed. Sometimes the clutter bothered me a little especially in the Police Station, but it did blend well with the atmosphere and story of the game. The HOs were great. The dev's did a great job camouflaging the items to find. Some were very difficult to find which makes for a good hidden object game. All of the HOs were list finds. The collectibles and morphs were easy to spot. The collectibles changed during the game which made it interesting to look for. I'm not sure why there were tape reels to find.
I totally recommend this game. I really liked the bonus game. If you are looking for a rainy day or snowy day past time, take this one for a spin. I believe you will like it.

I have always enjoyed Redemption Cemetery games. AMAX has come up with some real stinker games recently but this one definitely does not fall into that category. This review is based on the demo.
From the very beginning you are wrapped into the story of Obsidian who needs souls in order to manifest himself into the world. The story is told to you by the Cashier who tells you to look for the box dated 1950 to rescue the first soul.
I've always been a little afraid of amusement parks because of a scary fun house ride I went on with my brother against my parents' wishes. And all the loud noises of the midway, the rides and barkers for every attraction. So, this game fits right into that childhood scare for a spooky game. Obsidian is a particularly scary looking Reaper.
The HO's are fun with interaction which may have a mini HO within them. The mini games have just the right challenge. There isn't any faulty logic in the demo that I have come across and the game flows from puzzle to HO seamlessly. And in the demo there are plenty of puzzles and HO's.
The graphics are the typical great Redemption Cemetery type. No garish colors, no purple fog.
I loved this demo and it held my attention for the full 90 minutes. It is seldom that I have played demos recently that held my attention for the full 90 minutes. To me this has to be the best game of the year!
I definitely recommend this game and will be buying it, but as always, play the demo before you buy.

All of you Match 3 fans out there will love this next installment in MatchVentures. I had hours of fun playing the first MatchVentures and I believe this game will be the same. You can play in relaxed or timed mode. There are treasure chests to open, battles to win and fortresses to build. All the ghosts and ghouls will be exorcised as you play. The game play is the same as in the first MatchVentures. If you enjoyed that game, you will like this one.
Graphics are great! The music creates a great atmosphere.
Try the demo to see if you are as impressed as I am with this game!

I lasted an hour through the demo hoping with each passing minute the game would get better. It didn't. Logic fails repeatedly. Allison remembers her horse and Vance but can't remember if the castle in the distance is her home or not. The memory stars are a pretty good gimick but not good enough to get me to buy this game. I have to gather medicine for uncle and when the swarming, agitated bees showed up, I was done. I realized once again I'd have to smoke them out and this game is just another cookie cutter game.
The graphics are great, but that can't make up for a boring game.
Try the demo, but I'm not even sure waiting on the SE is a viable option for this game. I found it a waste of time, you may find it delightful.
