Never bought any of the others in the series so was going to give this a miss until I saw it was similar to Roads of Rome which are my all-time favorites so gave it a chance and glad I did. Game play follows the same format as ROR and love the little villages and scenery. Music is enjoyable and doesn't distract from the game.
My only dislike is the little "tootle" every time you accomplish something which is a tad annoying but certainly doesn't make me like the game any less. So glad I took the plunge!
I enjoy solitaire games and this is a very relaxing no-brainer game. Just your basic solitaire and something for when you don't want a complicated dark and gloomy game.
My peeves on this is that annoying horn that blatts after you finish a level and the high cost of extras which is very slow to accumulate.
This the best solitaire game I've purchased so far. Music doesn't distract from the game, lots of power ups (but a tad pricey), and love the card designs. Only gave a good instead of excellent rating on the sound since the soothing voice constantly telling me "wonderful" was a tad annoying. A very enjoyable game.
I'm always on the lookout for a good solitaire game and the winter setting was an added bonus. Game is easy to play, not hard on the brain and is a nice change when you don't want to think too much. Music is pretty and not distracting. Please BFG more like this!
I recommend this game!

Call on the animal spirits to help find your sister.
Love games with blizzards and was looking forward to this one. Was very disappointed. Not all that many HOGS, the usual back and forth, the usual having to find keys and a rather dumb story line.
Maybe BFG will come out with another game similar to Mountains of Madness for those of us who like snow, blizzards and howling winds with a good story to go with it.
Found it rather short but enjoyed playing it. Music was quiet and not distracting, puzzles for the most part I skipped, hidden objects were easy to find and all in all an easy game to pass the time when wanting a break from more complicated games.
Love solitaire games especially with a fantasy theme but this one left me cold. Hammer wasn't working on the cards so had to keep repeating levels until it would work and it just didn't hold my attention for the most part like my other solitaire game purchases.
Feel bad leaving a bad rating but just can't get into it.
I love solitaire games and this looked like something different. Knew after three levels wasn't going to particularly enjoy this. Coins bouncing around are distracting and some of these levels seem to be a no-win situation unless you play the same level over and over and finally the developer has pity on you and sends an easier level.
Have found many other solitaire games that are challenging but also fun to play. Wish I could recommend this.
I have other solitaire games that get monotonous halfway through them - am 3/4 of the way thru this one and not the least bored. Level of challenge is good, love accumulating supplies to construct buildings and the "Ye Olde England" music is cheerful and enhances the mood of the game. IMHO you can't go wrong with this game.
Didn't find it much of a challenge. Seemed to take forever to accumulate enough points to upgrade. Actually rather monotonous compared to other solitaire games that give a bit more of a challenge.
