Boring - like mahjong but this really doesn't offer much. It does have different game play such as poker, non-pairs, traditional, etc but for the most part just keep clicking tiles with no real story or challenge. Uninstalled it after about seven or eight levels.
This is a pleasant game to pass the time when you're tired of more complicated games. Have just gotten into solitaire and have found this very easy as compared to others. Nice setup, music is pleasant and not intrusive, and graphics were pretty.
Recommend this for those who just want a relaxing game. If you want a challenging solitaire game might want to give it a miss.
Had always hoped they would do a Viking Brothers 2 and was delighted when I saw this offered this morning and bought it immediately - no demo necessary.
There are several upgrades from the last game by way of visual quality of the buildings and auto collect of food, wood, gold, etc. And love the little goldfish! Other than that they stay true to the original by way of game play and happily no gloom, doom and dreary - just fun. I always start a new game in relax mode so haven't worried about a time constraint and I play games for just that - relax!
I love games with haunted houses and was very disappointed to see that all this was is a rehash of the Laruaville games - same type of game play just a different scenario. No spooky mansion scenes or shrieking ghosts, just one explode em' all level after another.
I love these type of games when you need a break from gloom and doom and just want to have fun. Loved the previous Atlantic Quests and jumped at getting this one. The graphics are good, music isn't intrusive and love Sparky and the gang.
Downside: Have to agree with another reviewer re the window mode. I like to play in that mode myself so I have my start icons up so I can check E mails. Screen in window is very small so play in full screen which really isn't that big of a deal and certainly doesn't take away from the enjoyment of the game.
Some changes on this one where instead of just match three and breaking the fish bubbles you can accumulate pearls to purchase buildings which is a nice change.
Doubt if I would have purchased this if I had known it was by the same developer as Laruaville. I bought the first three games but got bored as it was the same game play and same goals. Tho this is a different story line still same-O, same-O. I seldom buy match 3 so was a trifle annoyed to have wasted a game coupon.
For some this is great so won't rate it recommend/not recommend as it's a matter of taste.
I purchased this because I love Atlantic Quest and also solitaire games but was very disappointed. Game is a bit confusing at times and there's no undo button which to me is a must on solitaire games. You can get power ups but they don't last - they have to be purchased time and again and if you fold you have to have a certain amount of pearls accumulated to buy a new deck - if not fold or retry.
This may not be a problem for some so won't not recommend it but keep it in mind.
This is a relaxing change from more complicated back and forth games. The artwork is pretty, music not intrusive and considering some of the solitaire games I've played quite easy.
Tho I'm not that great at solitaire but tried it for a change. I like the graphics, don't consider the music to be intrusive and definitely a challenge; had to replay a scene more than once but that's what makes it fun so plan on buying more solitaire games.
(BTW - anyone notice a resemblance to Lord of the Rings)? :)
I actually enjoyed the game. Granted the designers' names for objects are a tad different than our's (whirlygig for some of us is a pinwheel, to them a spinning top, and the like) but it was not that bad at all to play so I don't see any issues with it.
Only complaint was having to maneuver around a bit to get the cursor so change to down to go to another scene but a minor issue.
