I have many of the games in this series, and I generally like and enjoy all of them...except that I can't finish the bonus play in this one! In what I assume to be the last hop, I can't figure out where I am supposed to draw a skull so that it can be matched to the other skull. Therefore, I can't continue the game. I'm a "person of a certain age" (baby boomer) and I just used up my last nerve trying this over and over and over and.... Well, I'm sure you get it. I can't get any help with this, although I have tried mightily. I will try again in a few days, if I remember! Otherwise, the game is fun and I recommend it to smarter people than I.
I recommend this game!

It took me nearly an hour to figure out how to launch the basket with balloons, and shortly thereafter the trial was over. The music was certainly repetitive and boring, but I usually turn the music off in games or at least down to a murmur. The illustrations were fine, for cartoons. I don't know why the rabbit is prominent, except that it is the little girl's toy. Likewise, I don't understand the high ratings. I like hidden object games, but this one just isn't for me.
I don't recommend this game.

This review is based on the trial. I had no problem with the graphics - I thought they were fine. The story was okay, but I have a problem with the premise. I would NEVER buy a property sight unseen, and when the stairs, rafters, walls, etc, started collapsing around me I would get out of the place! Why go in the evening, unprepared, and plan to spend the night? When the ceiling fell, the husband in a different room didn't even inquire if his wife was okay! That said, I will harp on the same line as always: new people come to this site all the time (I assume), and the games are not the same old thing to them. Try the game and if you don't like it, don't buy it. Seems logical to me.
I recommend this game!

Disclaimer: I adore this particular Dracula. He's cute, not vicious. A little mouthy, for sure, but he has compassion. (Not really for his zombie, Rufus, but apparently he pays well.) Others have complained that the artwork is not too good, but they need to realize that Loki put Drac into a board game, so the other characters are paper. I enjoy the references Drac makes to the other games in the series, but it isn't necessary to have played those. I also like all the allusions that are made to many super heroes. I want to point out that I am a grandma, but I'm not entirely oblivious to the world out there. The only problem I had with this long game is when I began to play the bonus game a timer was on the screen. I never play with a timer, because it is too mind boggling for me, so I don't know why the timer appeared. I couldn't get rid of it. Hey, the game is cute. You really should try it for yourself.
I recommend this game!

Okay, I managed to last through thirteen minutes of the trial, but the Count was driving me crazy. His voice was monotonous and he had absolutely no sense of urgency. If my spouse were being attacked by magical ghosts that were sucking out the life force, I think I would be a teensy bit perturbed! I do own a number of the games in this series, but I'm giving up. Life is too short. I wish the devs would hire some real voice actors. Try it for yourself. I really don't recommend it.

Well, I guess I'm just too old. I managed to suffer through about 40 minutes of the trial, but when I got to the bulletin board that had a "Help WONTED" sign and a flyer that said the town was safer than EVERY, well, that was just two errors too much! The game is okay, but there are better ones. Try it before you buy it.

Okay, I admit it - I'm a grandma with less than good eyesight. I like to play games that are clear and colorful and not frenetic. I do own many murder/mystery games, but they are difficult to see. This one is not difficult at all. I can stop and check out all the scenery without sacrificing much time. Fact is, I most enjoy playing games on the casual setting. I do replay the Royal Envoy games for the same reasons. I think this is an excellent game for someone who is just starting out with time management/strategy games. Try it for yourself.
I recommend this game!

This is a snub-nosed dragon - not attractive. Neither is his attitude. Okay, I lasted only 27 minutes in the trial. I liked the garish colors, because I have a problem with games that are mostly brown, gray, and black. I end up clicking aimlessly in shadows to find objects because I can't see them. The puzzles weren't difficult. Patricia must have a mental problem, because she talks in a monotone, as if she finds the evil she has brought into her castle is just a minor inconvenience. She ought to show a little excitement! Also, I dislike talking animal "helpers". I prefer they stay silent (like Elf the dog or the frog in other games). That said, this game might be a good one for people new to the games. I recommend the game, with reservations. Try before you buy.
I recommend this game!

I really don't see the attraction of the Phantasmat games. The story lines are not engrossing, the puzzles are just okay, and the graphics are not the best. True, I own three of them, but that's my limit. Try this game before you buy. (I had 33 minutes of the trial left when I finished, and yet I am not an expert player.) There are plenty of other games on which to spend your money.
I don't recommend this game.

I tried to play the trial of this game, but it was nearly impossible. I find that large cursor icons move slowly in some games, so I usually switch to the system-supplied one. This time when I switched, the cursor disappeared completely. I couldn't even find it using the Ctrl button. I managed to click around on the options menu until I could change back, but this glitch makes the game very unappealing. Too bad, since I do have several of the other games in this series and they work without problems.
I don't recommend this game.
