Now, this is a very old game which I played years ago and pulled it out again to play today.
You have:
* Regular and Advanced modes of play;
* Voiceovers;
* Diary;
* Help people to collect pieces of the amulet.
There is a Strategy Guide but you have to leave the game to read it. If you need it, then this could be annoying as it is distracting from the game.
As you meet people and help them, they will give you pieces of the amulet.
There are lots of HOS and mini-games. The HOS was pretty easy and the mini-games vary from being easy to medium. Mainly it can be just putting things in the right order. If you decide to skip a game then this will add 30 minutes to your time - that is, if you want to get on the Top 10 score list.
The graphics are mediocre, but it is an old game. Some of the HOS were quite cluttered which make it hard to see items, but I just went very slowly.
The game all up took me a little over 7 hours, so its quite a long game. There is no Bonus game.
Overall, I quite liked the game. I've played it a couple of times now. Best that you demo the game before you buy it to get a feel for it.
I recommend this game!

Not a bad game. I played this a few years ago and pulled it out again today to give it another whirl.
There are no modes of play.
There are sparkles to indicate places of interest.
There are voiceovers and you also get to read as well.
You have to find:
Blue Cards: These list items to find in that area;
Green Cards: These list silhouettes to find in that area; and
Red Cards: There are several objects in parts to find.
Finding these will give you clues and items to carry on.
You do get the use the items you find fairly fast.
The graphics are very good. Its easy to see everything - no blurry bits or small items which are hard to see.
There is only one piece of music which is played quietly in the background.
There were a few challenges in the game, but mostly it flowed well and I wasn't long in one particular area at all.
It wasn't a particularly long game - about 4 hours I think.
This game is definitely recommend for all players - beginners to experts. I personally quite liked the game and it had just enough challenge to keep me interested.
I recommend this game!

If you like hidden objects games with a bit of a challenge, then this game is for you.
You can play on either Relaxed or Timed modes. I played on Timed mode and had no trouble eventually finding all the HOS and playing the mini-games before time ran out.
The HOS were quite challenging in some scenes because some objects were very small and hard to see - like the bullet holes and casings. I actually had to close the curtains here because, with the sun shining, I just couldn't see anything, especially the small items and it was night time in the game.
The mini-games and puzzles were very easy and didn't take long to do at all.
The graphics are okay. Some scenes were quite dark, especially at night, and it was a little hard to see some items. However, I like a challenge and I did find them all without hinting (although I was cursing a bit!).
The music was fine - played quietly in the background and I didn't need to turn it down to concentrate.
There was no penalty for mis-clicking, thank goodness.
I think the game took me about 4 hours to play all up.
So overall, I did quite enjoy the game. There was just enough challenge to keep me interested. Definitely recommended for an afternoon on a rainy day.
I recommend this game!

Unfortunately there were no modes of play, so there was no choice of a challenge for me, which was a shame. There were sparkles everywhere so all I had to do was click on them to find the clues. I became bored after a while.
There were voiceovers at the beginning of the game, but after that it all stopped and you had to read everything.
There is a diary to read if you need it.
The graphics are okay and I didn't have any problems seeing the sparkles to locate the clues. The music played quietly in the background.
There were plenty of mini-games and puzzles to solve, and once again they were all pretty easy and didn't take long to do.
There weren't many HOS to play and the few that were there were easy to play too.
I finished the game in a little over 4 hours. However, I don't think I will bother doing the bonus as I'm bored now.
I didn't need to use the skip button or the Strategy Guide.
This is definitely a game for beginners and intermediates who want to get the experience. However, experts will find this game too easy and may get bored.
I don't recommend this game.

Interesting game - I now look at my venus fly trap in a whole new way!
You can either play Casual or Expert modes.
The graphics are very good - clear, colourful and no blurry bits.
There was only one piece of music, which I turned right down after while as it got on my nerves.
The hidden object games are easy to medium to find and quite varied - the usual HOS, find 10 pens, insects, etc.
The mini-games are easy to medium. There are lot of them and they are fun. Some took me a while to do - not that they were really hard, but it just took time to get things in a certain order. I'm sure you will find your favourites in there.
There is a bit of running around to do, but you don't have to go too far and its easy to remember where to go to undertake tasks.
The game is very long - took me many hours. However, I didn't use the hint or skip any games. I like to be challenged and this game did have its moments.
So overall, definitely recommended. Good graphics, good storyline and plenty to do - just what a pleasurable game is all about.
I recommend this game!

Great adventure game with all the bells and whistles of a collectors edition.
You have:
* Regular and Expert modes of play;
* Voiceovers;
* Diary;
* Achievements Tree;
* Collect 110 eye thingies;
* Complete the Dream Catcher.
There are no HOS in this game BUT DON'T WORRY there's still plenty to do.
There are lots of mini-games to play, with some I haven't seen before. Believe me they are all great fun. Some are easy that don't take long and some will have you going at it for a while. So plenty of challenge for you fishies out there at all levels.
Keep an eye out for the eye thingies. Many are easy to find, but some are very elusive. I made sure I found those first in each scene before I did anything else.
The graphics are okay, colours are very bright and vivid. Took a while to get used to it at first, but there's no problem in finding all the clues.
Sound was good, with just one piece of music I think throughout the game - honestly I really didn't notice it too much.
So overall a fantastic game to play. Definitely recommended. There's plenty to do and you will never get bored. So go on - put this game in your collection and have some fun. I definitely did.
I recommend this game!

Wow, this is literally 'mind blowing'. Absolutely brilliant game.
You have:
* Casual, Advanced and Expert modes of play;
* Voiceovers;
* Diary;
* Interactive map;
* Achievements Board [18 of them].
Even though its not a collectors edition, we have all the benefits of one. Well done.
The graphics are very vivid but still clear to see everything. The sound is very good.
There are four chapters to this tale and each time you get a different piece of music.
The HOS are easy to medium. There are plenty of them but not every step you take and they don't take too long to do. Everything was clear and not too junk piled.
The mini-games were fun and I'm sure you will find your favourite ones in there. I enjoyed them all.
Overall I really enjoyed playing this game and definitely recommend it for everyone. Well worth buying to add to your collection.
I recommend this game!

A very easy game to play and a little bit sad.
There are:
* Casual, Advanced and Hard modes of play;
* Interactive map;
* Voiceovers;
* Flashbacks to learn more about what happened.
You also have to find:
~ All the music sheet fragments throughout the game to
learn about the case;
~ Find the keys in the Bonus section to play Match 3.
I played in Hard mode throughout the game and bonus. You can change your mode of play at any time during the game.
The graphics were actually very good. There was no problem in finding the clues needed. There were no blurry or dark places either.
The music was mostly very quiet in the background.
The hidden object games were pretty hard. You had to find one item to locate another item and so on. There were no straightforward HOS. I came to dread these a bit as they sometimes took a while to do. However, some people love these types of HOS. There were quite a lot of them (or maybe it just seemed there were!).
The mini-games were very easy to medium. The longer ones were turning lights on and that sort of thing. Sometimes I got it straight away and other times it took ages. I quite enjoyed most of the mini-games.
If you get really stuck you can look in the interactive map to see what tasks need doing. Therefore, I didn't need to look in the Strategy Guide at all.
The game took me quite a while to do - about 7 hours I think all up. The bonus took me about 90 minutes. However, I don't play fast.
In the bonus section you have to find keys to play Match 3 games. They are easy to find. The Match 3 games are easy as well.
So overall, not a bad game. I wished the developers had put in a 'Custom' mode of play where there was no 'hand' or 'pointer' to make it harder for experts. You can get this is some games.
Definitely recommended for new or intermediate players who relish a challenge but maybe a bit too easy for experts.
I recommend this game!

Nice pleasant game - that is if you don't mind rats.
There are:
* Casual, Advanced, Expert and Hardcore modes of play;
* Voiceovers;
* Interactive map;
* Trophy Room;
* Diary;
* Can replay the HOS and mini-games.
You also have to collect:
~ 45 pumpkins in the game, but not the bonus;
~ 8 pages.
The graphics are very good and no problem seeing anything. Sound is mostly quiet in the background.
There are two ways to play this game and you earn merits in the Trophy Room either way. As you meet people and animals along the way, you get two choices of how you wish to deal with them. Do you want to help these people? Or do you want to go it alone? Your choice. So there will be two outcomes of how this game plays out. This time I chose to help. The next time I play this game I will go it alone and see what happens. I thought this was quite cool - sort of two games in one.
The HOS and mini-games were very easy to play. I played on Hardcore throughout the game and bonus, but didn't need to skip or get any hints. However, if you play on Hardcore you cannot change to any other mode of play during the game. Your only option is to start again. So have a think about it before you start the game.
There is quite a lot of running around to do. Personally I don't mind this at all. However, if you get really stuck and unsure of what to do next, just look in the interactive map and it will let you know where tasks and HOS need to be done.
The game is quite long. I think I played around 6 hours. The bonus will take about 45 minutes. There are a lot of HOS in the bonus.
Overall, the game is very easy to play and not much of a challenge for experts. However, new and intermediate fishies will love this.
I recommend this game!

This is Part 1 of the game, with the next instalment due out soon. I'm really looking forward to it.
You have:
* Casual, Advanced or Expert modes of play;
* Voiceovers;
* Diary;
* Interactive Map;
* Achievements Board (there are many of them);
* Can replay any of the HOS and mini-games;
* Collect figurines to tell their story.
The HOS and mini-games are quite easy to play. I didn't have to hint or skip any, so they can't be too hard. I enjoyed playing them and there were a couple of mini-games I hadn't played before.
The graphics were between being very good, with a couple of places looking like they came from a comic book. But overall I think it was done very well.
The music was mostly just noises, and sometimes someone tinkering around on piano - relevant for the game I think.
There is a fair bit of reading to do. As you find clues and the like, the diary pops up so you can read it, but its not too long or tedious. There are lots of characters to read about, so I had to pay attention.
There are a few glitches in the game but I'm sure these can be ironed out in a patch or the like. They are not major though and you can still carry on with the game.
The game itself and the bonus were quite long. I spent many hours playing in Expert mode. If you get really stuck you can refer to the map where it will show you any areas that still have clues to be found or a HOS to be played.
So overall a good game and definitely worth putting in your collection.
I recommend this game!
