I really like this one. The construction was very detailed right down to the cursor being a book. The graphic visuals were very well done and of course the HOPS and mini games were good, and unique to the storyline. The storyline left me wanting to know a little more in the demo to keep me interested; and the music did not compliment it as it should. All in all, this is a very good game and I recommend it to beginner and intermediate players. Thanks, Mia.
This is a great game. I reviewed the CE and loved it. The storyline is different and well written. The bad guy isn't who I thought it was; and I was convinced I had it right. The Grim Tales series continues as you investigate the disappearance of a girl that attends a girls school run by a mysterious woman, who heads a secret organization titled "The Black Widows." The music builds creating that urgency, needed to find out more. The graphics are very well done and the unique HOPS and mini games begin immediately. SE or CE this game is worth the buy. I recommend it to all. You won't be disappointed. Thanks, Mia.
Wow! This is a spectacular game. As always EIPIX never disappoints with their storylines and visuals. There is no match for their opening credits. The music is key, which crescendos to give that sense of urgency to push on and save a town. The storyline is gripping. A wedding stopped by another lover, only to end in a huge fire needing quick action to put it out. Of course, the bad guy is unknown with just enough information to peak interest and a need to know more. This is another great addition to the Dark Parables series. I recommend this game to all. It is challenging and lets you figure things out for yourself. Thanks. :)
This is a solid 4 star game to me after beginning the demo. The storyline does make me want to know more, so I was a little disappointed that I didn't get to the end of the demo. The HOPS and mini games were unique to the game, which I appreciate. It is an easy going game. There is not the sense of urgency that usually keeps me going; but the visuals and graphics are well done. I don't like the fact the inventory goes away and I did not have the option to lock it open. All in all, it is a relaxing game and one that you can take your time to complete. Thank you. :)
When a famous shapeshifting alchemist is charged with looking into the murder of the king's most trusted agent and friend, the last thing she expects to discover is an intricate network of shadowy criminals, intent on bringing chaos to the land.
This is a well designed fantasy game, with an interesting storyline. The attention to detail is awesome. The reaction of the little animals when you click on them is very warming and gives the game personality plus. The mini games are not very challenging, but they are fun and unique to the storyline. Bringing murder and fantasy together is the hook to make people want to know how it ends. However, there is no sense of urgency. It is an easy flowing game with beautiful music and scenes that let you float through without stress. Fantasy is not my favorite, but this game is very satisfying. Thank you. :)
This fantastical game entices you into a great story from the very beginning. The human element brings you to help your sister at an excavation site at Stonehenge, only to witness two portals leading to very different worlds. The demo doesn't give you a hint as to who is behind this yet, which is where the game developers might have teased us a little so we want more. The visuals and music all play a part in the fantasy, which are very well done. The mini-games and HOPS were challenging enough, and I liked that I could choose easy or hard to play them. I recommend this game for the fun and the visuals. You won't regret it. :)
I'm not one that enjoys too much fantasy in hidden object games, but this one captured me the instant it began and left me wanting more. The storyline is very believable. Two kingdoms at war for ages, finally decide to end it, until an evil man disrupts those plans. The leaders blame each other, and the war is back on! The balance between the interesting mini-games and HOPS is perfect allowing plenty of time to complete the demo. The thing that ties it all together is, of course, the musical score which brings you into the story to care about each of the main characters. The game developers gave them personalities and emotions that one can identify with. Thanks for the fun. I highly recommend this game.
I reviewed the CE and gave it 4 stars also, simply because I'm not into this much fantasy; and the annoying talking ferret. It is very entertaining with lots of stuff to do, so click on everything. The imagination that went into the puzzles, making them interesting, both visually and challenging, is outstanding. I really like the storyline too, evil twin brother and sister who return to the real world to kidnap a girl in order to save their own world. Pretty good!
Another game in the series by my favorite developers, keeps you busy trying to find leads to a murder investigation of a rich tycoon. There are some unconventional uses to the inventory you find, so try everything, you never know what can open what. I found the music a little lacking than Eipix's usual scores, but still builds to keep you excited. The storyline is different from the rest, in that a worker's union and the town mayor are involved some how in the murder. I like the HOPS and the puzzles, while simple enough, they were well designed. I finished the demo, and as usual, want to know how it all ends. :)
Of course the Grim Tales series is always good, this one is no exception. I thought it was going to be another Dorian Gray storyline with a portrait, that ages instead of the man, but it is nothing like that at all. The Black Widow storyline is underlying, but the demo reels you in by focusing on a different bad guy. Then, it hits you with a twist at the very end and takes you by surprise. Nicely played. The puzzles and HOPS were very well done and begin right away. The music and graphics are outstanding and tied it all together while the storyline makes you want more. I really enjoyed this one. :)
