This game is set in the Victorian era, and the story of the woman in white is beautifully told and presented. The game works very well, with the story unfolding as you progress and there are maps and even a family tree where you can read all the clues and see who is who. Although it is more suitable for the novice than the expert, I enjoyed playing this and could not wait to find out the mystery of the woman in white.
This is really not a bad game. The developers turn out pretty decent games and this is no exception. On the plus side there is a lovely French period setting, coupled with an interesting storyline with crisp quality graphics, music and some nice effects. There are tons of hidden object games for enthusiasts, and some puzzles. The game is also on the long side, which gives you value for money. However even though I played it on the hard level, I found this game way too easy. There are endless hidden object scenes which help you find items, but the puzzles are on the easy side and not really challenging, except one with circles near the end which was actually pretty hard. It is however a game that many will like, especially those who prefer less of a challenge.
Rescue a young girl from the Penumbra Motel. Solve puzzles, unravel a long standing mystery of death and disappearances in this heart-pounding adventure game!
There is not really enough I can say to reccommend this game. It is magnificently put together with a good creepy storyline, graphics, many locations and endless puzzles that test your ability ranging from easy to hard ones. There are no hidden object scenes but this is fine, as most games have them, whereas in this game you have to work to find many objects and decide how and where to use them.I played this on advanced level though, hardest of 3 options, so an easier level may make things easier for some players. The graphics are good with some special effects, and the whole package is great. I would like to see more games like this on the market. May suit a more experienced player better than a novice, but all should find this a very enjoyable experience. If there is one aspect I can identify for improvement it would be that I would like the music to be a little more sinister, as there are many creepy moments, my favourite involves a ghost dog.
