Having to wait for all tiles to fall before making another match makes the game a no-buy for me. Fairly primitive game in my opinion. I tried hard to give it a chance, M3 is my favourite genre, but I couldn't make it past the first 20 or so minutes. I just didn't find it fun.

I'm still working my way through this one -- plenty of levels, hours and hours of play time. This one's a lot like the Park Ranger series type of game, a fun way to spend a relaxing hour or so before bedtime 2 or 3 times a week. This isn't a game I enjoy playing for a long time in one session, find it gets kind of boring after more than an hour or so at a time.
Because you play the same scenes a few times each and very often have to find the exact same items each time, I found it much more fun to play no more than 2-3 levels in any one scene and then move on to the next 3 or 4 scenes. Then the next time I play, I start at the first scene I haven't finished yet and do the same again. That way the hidden objects aren't so fresh in my memory which gives the game more of a challenge. When I played a scene from beginning to end in one session, it became far too easy to find the hidden objects -- I was finishing levels in less than a minute, no challenge = not much fun at all.
If you're a fan of the old-fashioned type seek-and-find games (like Park Rangers, Christmas Wonderland, Big City Adventures Cruise Director) I recommend you give the demo a try. Personally, I don't find this one quite as good but close.

Looks like it's unanimous -- we don't like the paintbrush cursor! I didn't find it as much of a problem as some other reviewers but it certainly added nothing to gameplay, was somewhat distracting. And maybe it's my personal computer settings but I had no trouble seeing the numbers nor did I find the grids too small.
I thoroughly enjoyed playing the demo and was waiting for my 'free' game coupon to purchase. Not a game that I loved so much I couldn't wait to purchase but definitely one I'd use my coupon for -- or buy when there's a 2-for-1 sale. Beautiful colours, relaxing yet challenging enough gameplay. If you're a fan of nonograms, I recommend you give the demo a try. I like this one much better than the Fantasy (Penguin) series which I find too easy.
I enjoyed playing the demo, appreciated the different-than-usual game play which other reviewers have already described. I'd definitely use a credit to purchase. It's a game I'd probably find best for those times I want something relaxing yet entertaining enough for about an hour or so. No choice of relaxed, limited moves, time limits, and that's fine with me when i just want to unwind from a busy day. I suspect, with the more frequent appearance of random obstruction boxes as I progressed in the game, it'll get more challenging (I hope so!). If you're also a matching game fan, I highly recommend you give the demo a try.
That's just my personal opinion. I didn't enjoy playing this one, couldn't even finish the demo. After about 40 minutes I was too bored to continue -- and I turned the annoying music off (which I hardly ever do in a game) a lot sooner than that.
Game play is a bit different than the usual, levels are lengthy (I prefer mine a lot shorter), success is fairly reliant on strategic moves (which I'm all for in a match-3 game). I recommend you give the demo a try, you might enjoy it as other reviewers have.
I'm another fan of the Cursed House series and this one doesn't disappoint! Challenging (you need to make strategic moves) without being frustratingly difficult and great fun to play. It's not your run-of-the-mill M3 game and I highly recommend you give the demo a try to see for yourself.
I can't remember if I own #1 or 2 but I played that game a few times, thoroughly enjoyed it each time. Since they're all quite similar, I didn't have the urge to buy any of the others. I was thinking recently of playing it again so was very happy to see a new episode released, perfect timing! A new story and game boards are most welcome as is an updated version that I know will be Windows10-friendly.
As with previous games in this series, game play is nice and smooth and there's no waiting for tiles to finish dropping off the screen before making another match, something that turns any M3 game into a no-buy for me (but of course, it's a chain-type matching game, not swap and match anyway). Still, I really appreciate being able to play as fast as I want to and the glitch-free, smooth play. Storyline is the least of my concerns when it comes to an M3 game so I really don't care if it's great or a stinker. This one's 'okay' in my opinion.
If you're a fan of M3 games, I highly recommend that you give the demo a try.
I have the opposite problem of some reviewers here -- the original Clutter games play well for me but this series doesn't. I experience slow mouse response, what I call "floaty mouse". For that reason I haven't purchased any although I really, really wanted to continue to play the first two after I demo'd them. I like to play this type of game timed and the slow mouse response is just frustrating, no fun. (I need a new computer!).
In my opinion, the developer should wait longer before releasing yet another game in this series (what I mean by "too many, too fast"). They're all so similar to each other that, even though I've only played 3 or 4 of the demos, I've grown bored with them. At first I thought, hmm, a nice change from Joe's Clutter games but now I'm finding those original Clutter games far more entertaining.
I found the hidden objects harder to find in this one because of the steampunk theme; too often it was more of an eye-straining struggle than entertainment. If you haven't played any of the other games in this series, I recommend you also try the 1st or 2nd one before purchasing this one if you like it -- you might like them a lot better.
Wasn't impressed by the description and screen shots but decided to give this a try based on the glowing reviews. I enjoyed the first 15 or so minutes but then got bored, played almost to the end of the demo just to see what the other games were like that you get to play by spinning the wheel of fortune. At least 50% of the time I landed on 'hidden object' and never did get to play all the games available (by chance only!).
I'm always hunting for something new/different, approached this one with an open mind, hoping I'd enjoy it as much as other reviewers did. The trivia questions were mostly extremely trivial, pure guess work for the far too many questions that were of the "which is heavier..." variety (eg, which is heavier, a giraffe or 10,000 mice, kind of thing). Who cares?
I love pure hidden object games like the Christmas Wonderland, Cruise Director, Park Ranger series but these ones were just boring. By the 4th time the wheel landed on 'hidden objects', I groaned and just wanted to get it over with hoping I'd land on something more entertaining with my next spin. In these HO scenes, you see two side-by-side pictures much like you'd see in some adult colouring books and choose which side the named object appears in. You don't actually have to click on the hidden objects, just need to choose the correct picture.
It is a change from the usual and no game pleases everyone. I certainly recommend giving this one a try -- you may love it as much as the majority of other reviewers do.

Good old-fashioned, family fun, beautiful Christmas scenes. The earlier reviews say it all; I'm another big fan of this series. Every December, I eagerly look forward to the annual addition and have been checking the Big Fish website every day with my fingers crossed :-)
