A very relaxing, yet challenging enough, old-fashioned, hidden object game. I love the scenes, very nicely done. In relaxed mode there is a well-balanced mixture of easy and not-so-easy objects to find. I really enjoy the nature sound effects -- the bird song, etc always puts me in a pleasant mood. There's also a decent variety of minigames but you can skip any of them if you wish. Each scene contains 3 cats, a camera and a paw print to find in addition to the listed hidden items. Find them all for 3 stars.
So far, (completion of the demo) I'm enjoying this 4th game in the series even more than I did the last one. A sure buy for me!

Based on the demo only: I did buy and play the first Storm Tale game and am enjoying this one even more so far. I've thought about it and can't recall a single Green Sauce game I've played that I haven't really liked.
Everybody who likes a good M3 will find a perfect level of challenge for their moods and ability -- from 'can't lose no matter what' (Relaxed mode = 2 choices, casual and 'expert') to a choice of timed or limited moves. You can change between them at any time. The story/rebuilding the village is better than most other stories I've encountered in M3 games.
I experienced no technical issues, think the graphics and sound are great, too, music is pleasant. There is no waiting for tiles to fall after making a match (a must for me or I won't purchase) -- the game plays nice and smooth. I highly recommend you give the demo a try.

Based on playing demo only (but I intend to finish it!): I agree with most other reviewers so far -- this game is a very welcome change from the usual, garishly-coloured, Collector's Edition, Adventure games we normally see. I tired of those quite a while ago and rarely purchase one these days and even more rarely do I finish one. They bore me long before the end.
The hidden object scenes and mini games are both just the right level of challenge for my taste -- not too easy, not frustratingly difficult. FROG-type games always make me think "Mortimer Beckett" -- the first one of this type I played.
I urge you to download the free demo and give this one a try.
I love the colours, style of block, and the level of challenge (choose default or expert). The default setting isn't quite as 'casual' as almost all the other nanogram games on offer; eg, not overly easy like the Penguin series. However, it is easy enough that I didn't make any mistakes in the demo puzzles. I didn't try expert mode which I often prefer because I wanted to finish as many puzzles as I could in the time allowed.
The story is no thriller for sure but I really don't have anything to complain about either. You do have to read, no voiceovers, but dialogue is kept to a minimum. It reminded me of the Detective solitaire games, same sort of thing as far as story goes. It's an unnecessary extra for me personally.
Use the coins you earn to decorate your office or purchase power-ups (which look pretty generous so most any player can achieve a 3 star win each level by using one or two). You also earn some power-ups (hints) right after the first level so have help available to you right from the get-go.
I only encountered one minigame in the demo, a tetris type puzzle which I failed! I couldn't reset it so had to click on Skip in order to move on. I plan to purchase this game so will know better going forward -- not as simple and easy as most minigames usually are in these types of games so give them a little more thought. Or maybe (I hope!) I'm just rusty at tetris-like games after not playing one for many years :-)
If you're a fan of nanograms, I highly recommend that you give this game a try. I can hardly wait to get back to it!
I enjoyed the first Tower game and didn't find anything to be disappointed about in this one. It's the kind of match 3 game that appeals to most every M3 fan and their current mood -- you can choose between endless mode (relaxing) or challenging, limited moves or timed (or neither in endless mode). It's a game you can leave and pick up again at any time you choose. The story isn't important to game play at all and isn't some wordy thing that annoys.
I got to play two mini-games in the demo; one a decent enough hidden object scene, the other a spot the differences. I experienced no technical problems and game play was nice and smooth. I recommend you give this one a try if you like match-3 games.
I gave up yesterday when the going got tough -- or so I thought -- another try today made me cry, "Doh! Why didn't I think of that a lot sooner?". It took me a few levels to get the hang of this kind of puzzle but once I did, I was hooked and I'm back to purchase the game. Once I figured out how I could change the direction of the water flow using the arrow buttons in the right-bottom corner, solving the puzzles became a lot more fun. The challenge level is perfect for me; I need to think each puzzle through but none in the demo were frustrating. You can undo as many moves as you want to, start over as many times as you want to, take as much time as you need to so no pressure.
I wouldn't recommend buying without trying first and I highly recommend that you persevere if you're having trouble in a level in the demo -- give this game a fair chance if you're looking for something different than the usual and like puzzles.
I'm a fan of straight hidden object games, find them relaxing and enjoyable if well done and this one certainly is in my opinion.
The scenes are indeed beautiful; although details about them are still lacking in this series, I didn't miss them at all since the emphasis is on nature and there's much to feast your eyes and ears on in each scene. The hidden objects aren't too easy nor too difficult to find -- a perfect level of challenge for most who like this sort of game. The minigames are a bit more challenging and better done than most found in similar game series yet still pretty easy to complete.
I absolutely love listening to the realistic bird sounds (and the odd animal here and there like when you find and click on the pawprint in each scene), no overwhelming music. Myself, I turn the music way down or off and turn the sound effects up for a very pleasant, enjoyable and relaxing gaming experience when that's what I'm in the mood for.

I'm an old fan of the Cursed House series but was a little disappointed with the last one or two. There wasn't enough change from previous versions and after playing 6 or so, I just became a bit bored with the Cursed House. BUT...there are some new and interesting twists added to #9 that have made me a big fan again! If you're a Match-3 lover and relish a challenging game, Cursed House 9 is made for you. Even most of the mini games are challenging. The creators really know how to hide objects you need to find in the HO and Spot the Differences mini games. A couple of other reviewers have already done an excellent job of describing game mechanics and I'm in a hurry to get back to playing after finishing the demo and purchasing so that's it for my review.

There's not much going for this game other than some pretty scenes. The story (tedious click-through print dialogue) is obviously written by someone who could use a few more English lessons. The first puzzle encountered is a 'rotate the piece to complete the picture' one and it worked for me but the rotating/action was so slow I got extremely annoyed and thought...any more of these and I'm skipping them. However, I couldn't make it to the end of the demo (had 25 min. left when I quit due to boredom). I also played a Spot the Differences puzzle and a jigsaw map -- nothing fun or new as far as the games go; run-of-the-mill hidden object scenes with some items too difficult to spot. I'm definitely passing on this one.

Love this game so far (completed most of demo) and can certainly see why a Guide is included after reading part of it. Something like, "the only defense against the guardian's lightning is to cover yourself with a magic shield" is probably something I'd either take a long time to figure out my own without it or possibly never figure out. There are just so many power-ups, tasks to accomplish, obstacles to defeat, items to find and use, etc that I'm sure I'd soon get frustrated without that guide to help me.
The Extra Time "bug" another reviewer mentioned isn't a bug. Even gaining time is different in this game. At first, when watching carefully, I could see only 1, 3 or 5 seconds added to the timer -- big deal, useless, I thought. But a few boards down the road I ran out of time and a msg popped up asking me if I wanted to use 35 seconds of the extra time I had accumulated. I clicked yes and away I went, finished the board a few seconds later rather than dying and having to replay.
There are so many interesting features in this game; it's definitely no ordinary Match 3 and well worth the CE price in my opinion. You can play Easy, Normal or Hard and choose which for the Adventure part of the game and the puzzles separately. At the bottom of that options screen there's also a box to check for playing the game in timed or limited moves mode if you didn't choose "Easy" mode of play.
What a delight to have such a challenging, fun and interesting game to play! This is so much more than your usual M3 game that you can just pick up every now and then after a long time not playing it just to play a few boards. This one has tasks to accomplish, places to explore where you use items that you found while playing the M3 boards. If you're looking for something new and different and are an M3 game fan, I highly urge you to give the demo a try. I can't wait to get back to playing it.
