I love this series of games but number 2 has long stretches of boring running backwards and forwards doing tasks for the natives. There is no building in that particular chapter and I found it repetitive and dull. The rest of the game is fine.

Nothing new here and no logic to the game. You repair tools, you use them, you discard them, you repair a very similar tool, use it, discard it etc etc. Very boring. No new game play and nothing we haven't seen before a million times. Puzzles and HO were easy and repetitive. Story was ok but there was no immersion due to stupid tasks. Also very short, I am annoyed I purchased this. I played the demo in less than an hour and then there was only about an hour of game after that. Waste of money.
I love the Lost Lands series and have bought them all and played them more than once. This one is terrible. The cutscene graphics look like 10 years ago technology. There are a few serious bugs in the minigames. These are good and if you play on the hard setting are quite challenging, which I like. But a couple just wouldn't operate. The son character is just annoying and unnecessary addition. Why could Susan do everything, he added nothing but a whiny presence. The story is lackluster and unexciting. This really does feel like they rushed this project out to cash in on the series and produced without any love or understanding or care. They even crowbar in a dream sequence so they reuse old settings from previous games. Very disappointing. It is getting hard and harder to find a good game on Big Fish.

Games are getting a bit tedious on here and there are some elements of this game that fall into that category. A lot of finding shapes to go in holes. But it is still good fun and because of the story, it is quite fast paced and challenging. You will hate the bad guy he really is annoying but he adds to the game and makes it more real. Not for you if you don't like puzzles and some of them are difficult.

Bought this 3 hours ago. Played on hard setting and no skips, finished already. Usual culprits were there, oil can, find bits for ladder, light lamp, light torch, find handle, sharpen blade blah blah blah. Nothing new or original. A poor mans Lost Lands.
What I also found dubious is you have a male mage, a male dwarf and a male robot helping you because you are a weak and feeble women. You can't seem to do anything yourself.
Also not very PC that you ask dwarf to crawl into a log because he is small, you also order him to jump into a lake to rescue the mage. Even though he don't like swimming and has to be tied to a rope. Why? Why can't you rescue the mage yourself.
Also at one point you carry round three totem pieces turn out to be a huge statue taller than a man. Yet you were skipping around with these things like they weighed nothing. Yet you can't undo some bolts without a robot help.
I love a immersive fantasy game, this one is too silly, too poorly thought out and too short.

This game looks and feels like a game that is years old. Clunky, boring and tiresome. All you do is walk round collecting shapes to put into empty sockets. The map does not jump, there is no custom mode, there is no environmental sounds, the only sound noticeable sound effect is the annoying bray when you go anywhere near your inventory. I am utterly sick of this noise and won't purchase a game that uses it, it is that irritating. I don't play with music because I like to feel i am in the game and listen to environment. So it is a big no, no when there is none. There is no immersion here. The story is moved along with static pages from a story book no interaction, no animation. I didn't come across any puzzles but I deleted it after 10 minutes so there might have been. The animation doesn't "zoom" in, so you do some of the tasks as if from 50 feet away. I hate that.
All in all it is rubbish. Don't waste your time with this.
They will have to do a lot better, i have spent many hundreds of dollars with Big Fish over the years, I am seriously thinking of ending my membership.

Based on Beauty and the Beast you are guest at wedding of cousin but a beast has taken over and groom is missing. You can work out the rest.
Puzzles are the usual fair and painfully easy. All the usual suspects are present, make a duster, glue stuff together, make potion, rusty stuff that needs oil, endless broken locks and handles that need multiple parts to collect. Makes you look for codes for puzzles that are so easy you can just guess the answer.
No logic to any of the game play. You have to follow someone who has just gone through a door but it is locked from the outside. Twice.
I assume it is for little children rather than adults and what could have been a charming adventure is reduced to kindergarten story time.
Predictable, boring and insult to intelligence. Avoid.

Good game in the series. Inventive game play. Good graphics and characters. Challenge is about medium on puzzles. It is very short however. I played the whole game in about 3 hours.

I love Norse Saga and was excited to find this game. Sadly it was boring. I bought it to see if it got any better after the demo, but it didn't. Graphics are so so, game play is not really logical at some points, you use hat pin to shatter a huge ice wall like a tuning fork for example. i used hint a lot something which I have never had to do before and I play alot of these games. The puzzles felt like a chore. No fun factor at all. Such a shame.
