Based on the Demo. I wanted to like this game. I like Victorian mysteries but there is too much nonsense that distracts from game play. New York fire hydrants, poisonous spiders, sorry not in Britain. Develop a plate film in the middle of a park with no dark room and a dish of developer you have just made from random chemicals, ok. Someone you are chasing hides in a battered dustbin in a filth strewn alleyway but you have to solve a puzzle to open the lid, not once but twice. Who has dustbins (garbage cans) with puzzle lids?
Game play is usual stuff, collect stuff, repair stuff, use gloves, broken zips etc. Story centres around the Elizabeth Tower of Houses of Parliament never mentioned by name (actually called St Stephen's tower in Victorian times) nor is Big Ben the bell, it's just referred to as largest clock in the world. Maybe name is mentioned in the rest of the game.
I couldn't suspend disbelief because of these errors. Sorry.

Based on all of it. I was different in some ways, lots of puzzles not that challenging. You draw runes about 20 times. I bought it because I liked the different settings and design. But the animation is poor and story is non existent. Game play jumped all over, you need the map, it was very simplistic and very, very short. Played in in 3 hours start to finish. All seemed a bit pointless.
Based on the demo. This game looks and feels very old tech. Clunky animation and clunky game play. Ok if you have never played one of these before or you are 5 years old. Story is basically the Grinch except it is the bad witch who has stolen Christmas.
Boring and lazy game play. You collect tokens several times. The oil can is present. You put together a fishing rod. You sew things a couple of times. You repair drawer handles twice. You use two different knives. blah blah blah and this is just in the demo.

I enjoy this series and this is as good as the previous ones. Good level of challenge and a good story. Use of tools is logical and part of the adventure. Good variation of tasks that fit logically in the story. I lost myself for a few hours. Excellent fun.

Based on the Demo This is wrongly described as a hidden object game it isn't. It is an adventure game. You are put into a situation that is more realistic than hidden object games. There are no easy answers, there is no easy story, you do not know what is happening or how to proceed. Much as if you had been plonked down in real life. The puzzles are difficult and require thought, again as if you were trying to do stuff in a real situation. Not for beginners and not for people expecting a hidden object. If you are bored with easy ho and want a challenge, then try this. The graphics are ok and game play is a bit clunky at times but I found it absorbing. Try before you buy.

I bought his game because I have played a lot of time management and this seemed like a good one based on the demo. However apart from the weather changing it is very monotonous and boring. The building's don't change, you have a cafe, woodcutter, fuel station and house that you collect rent from. You repair hospital every time and the fire station and the police station. The challenges don't really change just endless permutations of the same thing. Also I noticed that all the engineers, police, firefighters and doctors are male. The only women in the game are the people you rescue. Come on! This is the 21st Century. No female cops or engineers? Puuurlease. Sorry I purchased this drivel.

I love the Weather Lord series and have played them all to highest level. I hated this. This is Weather Lord dumbed down and the core market seems to be little girls. There are Fairies. There is a princess. You are given three weathers on a tool bar instead of in the game screen. I didn't like this, it slowed things down as you are forever having to go to the bottom left with your cursor. (I play on PC with mouse, maybe this works better with touch screen?) There are more obstacles but you cannot have more than one person working on a task at a time, this is deeply frustrating if you are used to "stacking your team". There is no warriors, you defeat "monsters" by using weather on them. No towers in the demo but seems to be one later on. I don't hold high hopes it would the exciting towers in previous versions. Lame, frustrating and dumb. I won't be purchasing. They have killed this series. Very disappointed.

Very quirky German game that is more like an interactive cartoon. Not easy to play because you have to click on markers and this can be frustrating until you work out what to do.
Also very wordy but I like this because the dialogue was funny. I am not sure some Americans will get this type of humour though. It is very quirky and sarcastic.
Few tech glitches need sorting out, crashed a few times. Game play is slow and you will need to use help, a lot.

I play alot of time management and strategy games and this is one of the nicest. The graphics are lovely and beautifully realised. The story inventive and makes sense. It is a bit like the Borrowers story where you are shrunk down so mundane items seems mystical and strange. It is not too easy and the play is engaging and fun.

I just finished the whole thing and the bonus chapter and all the other bits too. I loved every second of this game and I was sorry when it finished.
The graphics and game play are excellent, they are drawn in such a way that you really feel part of the story. The characters are well thought out, well performed and of real fantasy calibre. I really did feel that I have been on an adventure with this game, something I have not come across in quite the same way before and I have played hundreds of these.
I usually find these games too easy even playing on hard setting. But this one it is quite challanging but not too difficult is slows down the fun.
Some puzzles we have seen before but they are used logically and are fun rather than tedious (the only exception is one in the bonus chapter which was not up to par with the rest of it). The HO scenes also make sense and are not just piles of random junk (worth finding all the tiaras to open an extra huge HO if you like them) I don't and was glad there aren't too many to be annoying.
The only downside I can see for some is, you will need to complete skill challanges to progress and in the battles, you might hate this if you play on a tiny screen.
