I was super excited to see another Quadrium released today. I purchased the original and have played it for hours and hours, and it never gets old. I love games that are strategy based, and although this isn't a difficult game to play, you do have to think about each move carefully, otherwise, the board will fill up quickly.
If you haven't played games like this, it's pretty simple, you shoot the colored orbs located along the parameters at the same colored orbs inside the playing field until all of them have been destroyed. You can play in Relaxed Mode that only requires a Match 2, or Challenge Mode which requires at minimum a Match 3. There's no timer so you can take all the time in the world, however, the Bonuses that appear on random orbs will disappear after a few seconds.
OBSTRUCTIONS
*Locks-first match unlocks, the second match destroys.
*Fog-matching nearby clears the fog patches.
*Glass-direct blows to break the glass and expose orbs within.
*Portals-orbs will portal to another area.
*Arrows-redirects moving orbs.
*Hand- stops moving orbs.
*Wooden Crates-blocks tiles, direct hit destroys.
*Armored Crates-must be hit on unprotected side.
*Stone Walls-can only be destroyed with bonuses.
BONUSES (tiles morph briefly)
*Explosives-include in a match to detonate the bomb.
*Rockets-hit with any tile to remove 3 random orbs.
*Lightning-destroys all of the same color orbs when matched.
*Bonus Bombs-transforms 4 orbs into bombs, places on outer edge.
*Mines-explode when hit with any colored orb
*Dynamite-explodes when hit with the same colored orb.
ANTI-BONUSES (avoid!)
*Orb Anti-Bonus-when hit by any orb, randomly adds orbs to field.
*Lock Anti-Bonus-randomly places locks on orbs when hit.
*Orb Wall Anti-Bonus: activates a row of orbs to fall from the top.

I became so bored playing this game that it took me a whole day to finish playing the demo! For the first half of the demo, I spent the entire time running back and forth between scenes one and two, solving simplistic puzzles that apparently couldn't be solved by Dr. Zoey Right, one of H.E.L.P's best archaeologists! Once again Sam was just standing there, doing absolutely nothing, until once again, something happens to Sam. He is supposed to be the top dog at the agency but for the life of me, I can't understand why he got promoted a few games back because he gets foiled by the bad guy every time!?? If he doesn't get foiled, he gets hurt and becomes MIA. I was also completely surprised that the demo wrapped-up most of the storyline and revealed key features that would have made the plot more epic, had they not (you'll know what I mean when you get there)
Once again, the CE version bling consists of 36 Collectible Rune Symbols, one in each scene. Once again, the signs are large and in charge, even if you forget to look for them, you won't miss them because they stick out like a sore thumb. In their defense, it's a bit hard to hide a Mayan Rune symbol in a modern day junkyard scene or classic diner, but on the other hand, they could have used a little creativity and pulled it off. The CE version bling also includes a Morphing Object, yet, this dev has already abandoned the Morphs in each scene that they surprised us with, and once again, only included them within the HOS.
The Hidden Object Scenes are better than the mini-games in my opinion, and I really enjoyed the Progressive, Interactive HOP inside the toy shop. It was one of the most innovative HO's I've ever seen created by this particular dev and was somewhat challenging with out of the box thinking required. There are several Keyword find types, as well as Silhouetted Shaped item finds, and in the CE version, each HOS has a Morphing Object to find.
The Mini-Games are a bit scarce and not all that impressive, the HOS definitely outshined the puzzles on this game, which is something I rarely say nowadays. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1-Click & drag glyphs on the right to the partial glyphs on the left.
2-Move cross-hairs to each incoming ring and hold to navigate.
3-Merge tiles so the combined numbers equal the sum of 10.
4-Select a sequence of moves to navigate w/o getting caught.
5-Align road sections to navigate the car, stopping to get fuel.
6-Select directional arrows to rotate cogs to match the key shape.
The Collector's Edition version has 8 Wallpapers, 8 Concept Art pictures, 9 Music Soundtracks, 8 Movie Videos, 16 re-playable Mini-Games, 14 re-playable Hidden Object Scenes, 36 Hidden Rune Symbols, 16 Collectible Fact Cards, 12 Hidden Object Scene Morphing Objects, 24 Hidden Jigsaw Puzzle Piece Souvenirs in the Souvenir Room, 13 Achievements to earn, 4 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter and a built-in Strategy Guide.

HEAR YE, HERE YE! KINGSLAYER OR ROYAL COVER-UP?

fromIn Medieval days, the Town Cryer actually shouted "Oyez, Oyez!" which means hear ye! This was a call for silence and attention so that important information could be heard by the townspeople, because most were illiterate.

We've been framed I tell Ye! This is the story that takes place after the King interfered with the union of his son and his wife, a commoner not born or Royal Blood and certainly not worthy of his beloved son. The King lost everything that fateful day, he lost his only son, he lost his heir, he lost the opportunity for his Royal lineage to continue as it had for centuries. But this isn't a story about the King, this is a story about a Kingslayer...or perhaps a Royal Cover-up, but mostly, this is a story about rising to the occasion and honor.
This game has THE EXACT style of graphics I yearn for! Anyone can make a crystal blue sea on a tropical island look beautiful, but this dev has mastered the art of detail! I'm well aware of how hard it is to perfect graphics of this magnitude, especially when the time period has very few color contrast to work with. This is an area easily overlooked by most because we have become accustomed to large colorful graphics that don't really define anything, but our eye tells our brain, "look how beautiful those colors are" but try to count the stones on a building or look at the detail of the leaves on that tree...you can't, because they don't exist, until now!
I'm only about halfway through this 7 Chapter strong, amazing adventure to clear my name, and I love the story, I love the puzzles, I love the HOP's, and so far no gadgets! I have a tiny complaint, however. Each scene has a Morphing Royal Coin to collect, and the morph is fairly slow, but I wish the morph was slower and the Royal Coin was smaller to make it more challenging to find. Just a tad bit of tweaking perhaps on the sequel?
The Hidden Object Scenes are centered around objects you'd expect to see in the Medieval time period. I knew I was going to enjoy these HOP's from the very first Interactive, Progressive, Silhouetted Shape puzzle, which made me think about what I needed to do in order to progress (this doesn't happen often, I can usually find all items without looking at the list, NOT because I'm so good at them but because they are usually so easy) There are also Interactive List finds, Silhouetted Shape finds and HOP's that require you find Fragments within a storybook.
The Mini-Games are quite varied and I love that they are era true. I have enjoyed every puzzle thoroughly, even the repetitive "fight" games where you have to trace every line without retracing on 3 different and progressively difficult shapes. I love the puzzles that I have to strategize or think about, which is one of the reason's I enjoyed this game so much. Although I'm only halfway through the game, the games are still interesting. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1-Slide the symbol tokens to their matching slots.
2-Trace all lines between dots w/o crossing the same line twice. x3
3-Press pressure plates in the correct order, wrong order resets.
4-Place the portraits into matching slots, each picture pushes the others.
This Collector's Edition version has 6 Wallpapers, 12 Concept Art pictures, 5 Music Soundtracks, 8 Movie Cutscenes, 14 re-playable Mini-Games, 11 re-playable Hidden Object Scenes, 18 Achievements to earn, 29 Morphing Royal Coins (+11 I believe are in the BC but due to the length of this game, I haven't completed it yet) 7 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter (Act of Deceipt) and a built-in Strategy Guide. Enjoy this amazing medieval plot against two Brothers!
I recommend this game!

Because I own the entire Grim Tales series, I purchased this game in the CE version. The storyline is decent, but the game features are way too cookie-cutter, it's clear that they poured all of their energy into Detectives United, and rushed to get this game released.
The Bonus Chapter returns with Alexander as the lead character as an excited dad-to-be as Natalya is expecting twins. There are 3 more Character photos, 9 Morphing Objects, and 9 more Screensaver pieces to collect in the BC.
I love the Grim Tales series and I own all of them, (scroll down for series order) but this game was rather boring and way too easy. It has all the staple features Elephant can't seem to resist, magic oil that removes decades of rust instantly, instant ink revealer, missing clock hands, items in a sewer drain, cobwebs, tarps over a trailer. Have they run out of new ideas or do they just recycle the same scenes? Because they insist on using the same obvious tasks, this game can be done in your sleep...while you're dreaming....about an entirely different game!
Daddy Richard has returned and honestly, he's the best part of this game. In case you haven't played any recent Grim Tales games, Daddy Richard is as dead as a doorknob! That doesn't stop him from joining your time-traveling adventure though, because Anna Gray takes Daddy Richard's skull with her wherever she goes, hey who doesn't right?
The Hidden Object Scenes are unimpressive and extremely easy to locate all items quickly. Honestly, I was able to find most of the items without looking at the list, and there's just no excuse for this! There are Keyword finds, Interactive List finds and Silhouetted Shape finds as well as several smaller zoom zone HOP's.
The Mini-Games are decent but some of them have vague instructions. There are way too many "navigation" style puzzles in my opinion, which at times, are back to back. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1-Swap tokens along paths to matching related item slots.
2-Trace wires and enter the symbol for each number shown.
3-Move tokens to matching slots, tiles will change after touching them.
4-Restore the image by turning sections.
5-Turn wheels to enter each code and each image shown.
6-Navigate through the maze by pulling green levers to open barriers.
7-Swap tubes to their matching symbols.
8-Push all lock parts off the board until only 1 remains.
9-Arrange tiles so they match the shape & color of their slots.
The Collector's Edition has 8 Wallpapers, 8 Concept Art pictures, 3 Screensavers (once 34 Puzzle Pieces have been found) 5 Music Soundtracks, 17 Achievements to earn, Morphing Objects in each scene, 11 Collectible Character Photographs, Archives, 3 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter and a built-in Strategy Guide, enjoy!

The goal of this game is to select and place directional arrows to move the character through the tiles to the exit. You have to use all of the commands and choose the best scenario to achieve a perfect score.
Once you have placed all of the commands, you click the start button to make the character (there are several different characters and each one has its own set of levels) You can select the speed at which he travels through the maze and you can replay the entire level, or simply go back through the steps to change the options. You can also load your "best solution" and try to figure out a different solution from that point.
You can play in Adventure mode and eventually unlock Mission Mode free play, Coin Hunt Mode which requires you to collect all coins, Roadwork Mode which has several crates that need to be pushed into holes, or Dark Design which is a challenging mode.
I found this game to be really fun at first, but after several levels, it just seemed as if I were doing the same thing over and over. The good news is that if you like this game, it has over 400 levels so you should get your money's worth!

Myths endure the passage of time, but Myths of the World hasn't. I say we all take a vote and sacrifice this game to the lava baby, which should solve everyone's problems. The lava baby will certainly be content knowing he's provided a great service, the princess doesn't have to blow off the king of thieves anymore, and the king of thieves will have nothing to steal. This will buy everyone some time to use the magic shell to actually do something productive, like finding that poor lava baby someone to LAVA!
Yes, we are still on a Gadget streak! This time it's a Shell that allows us to talk to the elements, because old man Wind is full of hot air and has a lot on his mind, so I can't wait to hear what Silent Waters has to say! Once again, we get treated to finding those famous not-so Hidden Signs and some of the scenes have some obvious Morphing Objects to click on. (notice I didn't say search for, because they aren't very discreet either) To sum this game up, it's boring, the graphics are beautiful at times, other scenes have blurry graphics and lack detail and the scenes have very few interactions or areas of interest. The Polynesians are super Americanized with perfect English, which is pretty amazing considering this game takes place in the late 1700's, don't ya think?
The Hidden Object Scenes are slightly more interesting than the Mini-Games but only because some of the items were well hidden. They are typical Eipix HOP's with mostly Sketched Picture finds, but there are also Interactive List finds, Keywords in Sentence finds and Multiple Item finds. There are several smaller zoom zone HOS, and you can opt for an extremely easy Match 3 variation called Skipping Stones.
The Mini-Games are rather uninteresting and consist of the typical Eipix style puzzles. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1-Select arrows to reassemble the map.
2-Pull the 2 rings to guide the hot air balloon to avoid strong winds.
3-Use sliders to focus and align the rings around the shapes.
4-Select each target when the center turns green.
5-Select arrows to rotate the constellations to align with stars on a map.
6-Swap sea creatures to the correct water depth.
7-Select directional arrows to avoid obstacles.
8-Select pearls to reveal matching symbols.
This Collector's Edition version has 8 Wallpapers, 6 Concept Art pictures, 7 Music Soundtracks, 8 Movie Video Cutscenes, 17 re-playable Hidden Object Scenes, 21 re-playable Mini-Games, re-playable Skipping Stones Games (Match 3) a Souvenir Room with 15 Souvenir's to search for, 13 Achievements to earn, 30 Hidden Signs, 20 Morphing Objects, 4 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter and a built-in Strategy Guide.

This is a really good addition to the Katy and Bob Time Management series, but there's no way I'd pay twice as much for this Collector's Edition version because it is NOT CE worthy! The only features you get with this version is 10 pages of cartoon Concept Art pictures, 5 Music Soundtracks and 12 Trophy Achievements (which I'm betting are still available in the SE version) There is no Strategy Guide, and from what I can tell, no Bonus Levels!

This is a point and click TM style game, where you click the customer to give them a menu first, and then click on the item they order, deliver the order and click to check them out. You don't have to drag anybody or anything (a feature I really find annoying) After checking the customers out, they leave you a tip that requires another click or scan on the coins to receive your tip. The slower you are at doing these tasks, directly affects the tip, with gold, silver or bronze coins earned. The "expert" goal amount is shown before the start of each level, and there are Bonus Goals available (but not required) which are shown at the bottom, such as collecting money from three consecutive customers. As you progress, more menu items are added and the cake decorations get more complex.
After each level, you can use the money you earn to buy items or upgrades from the shop. You can buy extra serving stations, increase the price of items or upgrade flooring etc. to keep customers happier longer. The graphics are rather flat and not very vivid which makes this game seem a bit old-fashioned when compared to other TM games lately.
I love everything about this game, except for the CE price, so I highly recommend the game, but for me personally, I can't see paying twice as much for this version, just for some concept art pics and a few trophies. If you don't mind the price, or you love the CE bling offered, that's okay, but I do suggest waiting for the Standard Edition to compare the two side by side, enjoy!

Who doesn't love a Creepy Doll comes to life game? I gotta admit, I was super excited because my favorite genre is creepy horror, and everyone knows how things went when Annabelle unleashed her horrorfest! Unfortunately, the ease of the game interfered with the plot. The plot is really good and is somewhat creepy with the dolls taunting whispers, giggles, and mischevious deeds, but EleFun has got to do something about the "loading" screen that occurs after each scene. It causes your mind frame to auto-adjust and it takes away from the intensity of the moment.
As far as the CE Bling, I love the Morphing Objects, Collectible Magazines and Collectible Eyes that give you more insight to the story, however, give me the option to turn off the "hand cursor" that points to them, otherwise, it says "look at me, here I am". It would be good if the Eyes weren't located on pieces of paper in a zoom zone as well, which make it impossible to miss when the zoom zone doesn't close until you click on it. My final complaint is that this is a super easy cookie cutter game. Wouldn't it be nice if a dev came up with different tasks and features? Wouldn't it be really cool if a game had alternate endings depending on the choices you make? Wouldn't it be cool if you had to figure things out instead of just clicking on everything? How about a journal that the player decides what information to add to it and you used clues you found to solve the puzzles rather than the current piece of paper that automatically appears to show you how to solve everything?
The Hidden Object Scenes are bland and uneventful. (btw, on the custom mode you can turn off the HOP penalty that causes the screen to fog with too many misclicks) The very first HOP showed promise because it included puzzles to solve, but afterward, they just fell into the so-so category. Many of them are multi-layered, with Interactive List finds, Keyword finds, Multiple Item finds and Silhouetted Shape finds and there are also several smaller Zoom Zone HO's. There is an alternate Jigsaw Puzzle offered, but once again they have outlines making it difficult to not know where they go. There are a total of 22 HOS throughout the game.
Mini-Games go from super simple, no skill required games to puzzles with some of the worst, most confusing directions I've ever seen. There are a total of 25 Mini-Games offered throughout the game. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1-Click when the 2 circles overlap.
2-Choose 3 bricks that share 3 out of 5 symbols.
3-Place fuses according to the clue.
4-Connect fuses w/ a continuous line of # specific connections.
5-Find the connection between all symbols & dates.
6-Find the item that matches the silhouetted shape to fight the doll.
7-Choose directional arrows to deflect the dolls attack.
8-Click the bar continuously until the meter fills up.
9-Guess the sequence of lock tumblers.
10-Navigate the tunnels according to the map, finding & using items along the way.
11-Click tumblers to enter the correct code.
12-Click to remove blood cells shown on the right.

The Penguin family has traveled to alien planets and visited some strange new worlds in the past, but this adventure isn't strange at all. The Penguins are going on a Camping Trip! Okay, penguins going on a summer camping vacation does seem a little strange now that I've put it in writing! But who cares? It's time for another Fantasy Mosaic Griddler!
The Locked Colors have returned, where some of the colors aren't available until you uncover Keys by filling in certain cells. This feature would be awesome, but it seems to me that the puzzles have been far too easy since this feature was added.
Once again, you can select the tile style from 5 different tile sets, ranging in color vibrancy and styles. This feature has been standard within the Rainbow Mosaics series which offers twice as many, including unusual shapes like lego pieces, and they have a solid storyline throughout the game, so FM has some competition. The Eye feature has returned as well, which allows you to hide the grid to get a look at the puzzle without all the lines, and they added a reset icon too.
Fantasy Mosaics 1-4 only offered monochrome, single colored puzzles, in FM 16 additional colors were added to the standard six colors we see today, and really with the exception of adding the Stars for not using Hints, Locked colors, tile choices and an Eye feature that allows you to remove the grid-lines within the last few games, they are a bit slow to give FM fans new options.
You can earn a Gold trophy if you make no mistakes, a Silver trophy if you make one mistake and a Bronze trophy if you make two mistakes. You will also earn up to three gold Stars if you don't use any hints, one star is deducted each time you use a hint. Therefore, it is possible to make a mistake or two but still earn 3 stars as long as you don't use any available hints. Unlike some mosaic games, FM is based upon logic and are solvable without using hints or power-ups.
Mosaic Griddlers may seem overwhelmingly complicated at first glance if you're new to this genre, but don't be intimidated. After a few levels, you'll get the hang of it (but I would suggest starting with an earlier version (#16 offers 6 colors and is a great place to start) that's not as challenging. There are groups of numbers located on each column and row of the grid, each group of numbers must be separated by at least one blank or crossed off cell. Sometimes it's easier to figure out where numbers can't possibly fit to reduce the number of cells and narrow the playing field down a bit. Some cells contain bonuses such as extra hints, extra mistakes allowed or an extra pickax which allows you to choose which cell you want a hint on. There is a Sun icon as well that when fully charged, will give you a mega-hint, filling in or crossing off a 3x3 area of your choice.
I'll always be a fan of the Fantasy Mosaics series, they are always based upon logic, which isn't always the case with similar games. The pictures are always easily recognized and labeled, and they always seem to come up with a wide range of vivid colors, so happy griddling and enjoy!

This is the first game in the Detective Solitaire Inspector Magic series and it appears that the graphics have improved since the last solitaire game offered by this dev. If you're ready for a fantastic whodunit, crime-solving, solitaire game with an interesting plot, this is not it.
I played the entire demo and zipped through probably 15 levels, and not once did I receive even a tiny hint related to the crime, or anything thing else pertaining to the committed crime and/or storyline other than seeing pictures on some of the cards. I also didn't receive any of the above mentioned "achievements" that contain clues, I passed all the demo levels on the first attempt, I played chains wicked-fast, super-slow, I had cards remaining (because all of their games have cards remaining) I played all the cards, nada, nothing I did triggered an achievement, nor did I see anything within the game that indicated it even had achievement trophies available.
You can choose from 9 Crime-themed card backs, and 3 face card font styles. This is a Higher/Lower style Solitaire game where the only goal is to remove all of the Gold Cards. Once the gold cards have been collected, you will earn the maximum amount of points and the game ends even if other regular cards remain. If you remove all gold cards you'll get a perfect score and the points of that level are added to the next level similar to bowling scores. You must earn the required amount of points to unlock the next location, there are 12 Locations and each location has 10 levels.
You can play in Newbie Mode which allows you to replay any level or Professional Mode which only allows you to play the entire 10 level pack. Some of the cards have a round blue gem, if removed they reward you with either +499 points, a Joker, a Shuffle or Mulligan (undo) and you can buy Jokers, Shuffles, and Mulligans within the Shop with the points you have earned.
Although I was impressed with the graphics of this game, everything else is exactly the same as all of the hundreds of other solitaire games by this particular dev, always has been always will be. I think I would pass out from excitement if they offered a game with the option to continue playing the level after the required gold cards were removed!
