fromCharles Perrault wrote the earliest version of Red Riding Hood in 1697, Grimm Brothers version was published in 1812. In Perrault's version, Red & Granny are eaten, end of story. In the Grimm Brothers' version both are saved by the Huntsman!

Rachel was looking forward to meeting Chris at the Red Cape Bar because just next door is her new apartment. Rachel decided to get a brand new tattoo to celebrate the occasion, but little did she know that the tattoo ink was breaking news, and her life would never be the same! Chris Andersen's life is about to be turned upside-down as well when he finds himself knee-deep in a tattoo conspiracy with deadly consequences! The deeper Chris delves into this case, the more he realizes that he already knows too much, the truth is out there, Rachel is out there, but the truth is never what it seems..........
It's not often that Eipix treats us with a new series nowadays, but I really enjoyed The Anderson Accounts. It takes place in current times! Yea for the 21st century! I wish Eipix would have included a few more tasks per scene because there isn't much to do, a puzzle or HOP here and there, and perhaps picking up or placing an item, is all you get to do. I just think there was a lot of missed opportunities. In this CE version, there are Little Red Riding Hood Signs to find in each scene, and of course, the famous HOP Morphing Object to find, but that's about it for bling, other than the wallpapers, music, SG normalities.
The Hidden Object Scenes include variations of Listed Items, Multiples of the same Items, (such as 9 Stamps) Riddle Descriptions, Black & White picture finds, Pictures in Color finds, and Silhouetted Shape finds. There isn't a lot of interaction with the items, such as finding and using objects interactively, but I liked the creativity of some of the scenes, such as a TV, or Mail Box slots in an apartment complex. Each of the HOP's has a Morphing Object to find (CE version) and I will admit that some of them are quite tricky to spot!
The Mini Games are for the most part, unique and very creative, although I'd prefer them to be a bit more complex and a tad bit longer. I really enjoyed the Fuses puzzle and the Fire Escape puzzle, but just when you get engrossed in the puzzle it ends! Here's a list of brief descriptions that you'll come across in the demo:
1) Move the patterned discs to their matching slots.
2) Swap stones to complete the design.
3) Connect + to - fuses to create a current using slider bars.
4) Point arrows to symbols a specified number of times.
5) Select levers to adjust ladders and bridges to create a path
6) Swap color-coded discs to their matching slots.
This Collector's Edition version has 8 Wallpapers, 8 Concept Art pictures, 9 Music Soundtracks, 17 re-playable Puzzles, 16 re-playable Hidden Object Scenes, 24 Collectible Souvenirs, 41 Hidden Little Red Riding Hood Signs, 16 Morphing Objects within the Hidden Object Puzzles, 5 Main Chapters + Bonus Chapter (Three Little Pigs) and a built-in Strategy Guide, enjoy!

fromWhy doesn't the Royale versions have the beautiful Jewels, and why is it still called Jewel Match?

I love the regular Jewel Match games because of the beautiful gems. I can replay those Match 3 games over and over without getting bored, but that wasn't the case with this Royale version, it was fun the first go round, but it's just kinda boring the second go round. I was waiting so patiently for this version to be released too! I don't know exactly why it seemed boring this time, perhaps the regular unappealing tiles play a factor because they make the game too busy and hectic looking, more than once I found myself pausing because I couldn't "see" the available matches because of it.
This is a highly customizable game, which allows you to disable or enable the Hint Arrows or the Interactive Help tutorial. Then you can choose to play in a Timed Mode, a Limited Moves Mode or a Relaxed Mode. Then you get to choose to play whichever type you selected, in a Normal or Advanced difficulty mode, which I have to admit is awesome. You can even switch back and forth between modes or difficulty without canceling your progress, which is even more awesome.
Each level has several "rooms" to complete when one room is cleared, you click on the arrows to visit the next room. If you have time remaining after completing a level, you can either continue or go to the previous rooms and search for bonus items. I don't know of any other Match 3 that has this feature. Coins that appear can be collected with a single click (they will disappear after a brief amount of time) and Bags of Coins must be dropped off of the board to collect by making matches under them. The Coins earned can be used to purchase upgrades of power-ups in the shop, such as a Hammer to remove specific tiles, bombs, lightning or bolt-cutter chain destroyers. Stars are collected by dropping off the board as well, and the Stars are used to purchase decorations such as Statues, Flowers or Animals.
Large matches will reward you with power-ups, such as a Match 4 gives you a Chroma Piece that can be matched with any tiles, and a Match 5 or more, awards you with a Royal Arrow that clears rows or columns or both. The object is to clear all gold cells by making matches over them. Some items require you to make matches under the items such as Keys until they fall off the board. Mana Bottles must be collected to cast spells, and Treasure Chests can be upgraded to hold a greater number of tiles, because once full, other tiles collected will go unused.
There are various obstacles such as Wooden Crates, Chains, Double Chains, Dark Fog, Amber Trapped tiles, and even Safe tiles that require a specified number of matches made next to them, according to the number inside. Some levels have a Garden Room, that will unlock once the other rooms have been emptied. Inside the Garden Room, you can collect more Coins, Stars and occasionally a Butterfly. Once you collect the tricky little Butterfly, the Crystal Room will unlock, which in turn will unlock Bonus Mini Games. In the Crystal Room, however, new tiles are NOT generated, so a little strategy may be necessary.
If you haven't tried any of the Jewel Match 3 games, I strongly suggest you try one of the original Jewel Match games (not Royale versions) or one of my favorites, Jewel Match Twilight, before playing this Standard version Royale. I can replay those games time after time, without getting bored. The Jewels are beautiful, and so are the Castles. Personally, I don't think the CE version has anything exciting enough to constitute a double the cost price tag, but that's just my personal preference.
The Collector's Edition version has 9 Extra Wallpapers, 5 Character Portraits Jigsaw Puzzles, 16 Extra Mahjong Layouts, 3 Extra Castles, Making Of pictures, 8 Music Soundtracks, 6 Custom Cursors, 60 Extra Levels (ok, I'll admit that one's impressive!) and a built-in Strategy Guide.

Zula the Illusionist will be entertaining the guests at the Pendulum estate this evening, by invitation only. Detective Dupin will be a special guest star participant, so this will be a party to die for! Dupin had a bad feeling about this performance and begged Zula to reconsider, but "the show must go on" until it doesn't, and it did! It's a good thing you made it to the show on time, unfortunately, this show will be the Grand Final, but is it just an elaborate Grand Illusion?
This is the first Dark Tales game I have enjoyed in quite a long time, in fact, I almost gave The Pit and the Pendulum 5 stars, but it does have a few features that could've been better. The mini-games were a little too easy as far as the Hard Mode goes, but I still enjoyed more than I disliked. The HOP's lacked creativity, but I'm getting used to the fact that HOP's have probably run their course of options, which makes me doubt anything new could possibly be created at this point.
I love that Amax has included Morphing Objects and collectible Illusion Cards in this CE version, but the objects morphed too quickly and are easily spotted. My final complaint is that although I really liked the storyline, it doesn't seem to follow Poe's vision, so I'll ask again, Why does Amax insist on hanging onto ERS's apron strings? They obviously have a creative writing team, so why not take a leap of faith and allow them to write a brand new series? It seems to me that they are trying so hard to remaster the oldies by completely revamping the plots, so why not go all the way?
The Hidden Object Scenes are just okay, nothing spectacular, nothing really new. There are Interactive List finds, Keywords in Sentence finds, Progressive Interactive finds, and several Zoom Zone HOP's where you are tasked with finding 5 Fragments to receive an inventory item.
The Mini-Games I will admit are pretty easy to solve, even on the Hard difficulty setting, but I don't really care how hard or easy puzzles are, as long as they are fun, and I enjoyed several of them. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1-Slide buttons to correct positions according to clue shown.
2-Drag latch through symbol without touching borders.
3-Match both card sections correctly within their categories.
4-Select all pictured items to receive the safe code.
5-Turn safe wheel to the correct numbers shown on the clue.
6-Use numbered buttons to push tokens into place.
7-Click when both tokens are aligned (progressive speed)
8-Navigate through a dark maze, picking up and using items.
This Collector's Edition version has 6 Wallpapers, 8 Concept Art pictures, 5 Screensavers, 4 Music Soundtracks, 12 Movie Videos, 16 re-playable Mini-Games, 12 re-playable Hidden Object Scenes, 16 Achievements to earn, 26 Morphing Objects, 9 Collectible Illusionist Cards, 5 Main Chapters + Bonus Chapter and a built-in Strategy Guide, enjoy!

I love the variety of Mosaics offered by this dev, but I would love to see more colors added because typically there are only 3 available colors. I think those colors could be a little more vivid as well, and I wish they would label the pictures afterward so I know for sure what the completed picture is. I love reading the interesting facts about all the different Cities around the World, which is a feature offered in this game, as well as World's Greatest Places Mosaics and Mahjong games.
You can play in a Casual, Normal or Expert difficulty mode, or you can customize the difficulty mode by choosing if you want to play in a timed mode, if you want bonus points as a time bonus, whether you want numbers crossed off one by one or only when the entire row has been completed, and you can set the number of mistakes allowed from 1-5 and how long it takes for the hint feature to recharge from 30-120 seconds.
There are 4 different types of Mosaics offered:
*Traditional (multi-colored) which has 3 different colors to switch between to help you solve the puzzle. (there are also multi-colored Shape puzzles, my personal favorite, where shapes replace the numbers, if you scan over the shape, the traditional is displayed) In some of the puzzles, some sections may be locked, requiring you to complete a different color to unlock those sections.
*Mystery Lands which fills in each cell with 3 different kinds of pictures that when complete forms a beautiful scene, often with swimming fish, turtles etc.
*Rome Game is the same as Traditional except the numbers are presented as Roman Numerals, but if you scan the mouse over the numbers it will show the traditional number.
*Labyrinth Game is similar to Mystery Lands, but after completing the puzzle, you move objects from point A to B by clicking on intersections of a maze.

In Chase for Adventure: The Lost City, Ann Windsdoe retraced her father's archaeological expedition in Madagascar, where he disappeared over 20 years ago. Unfortunately, she wasn't able to locate her father and returned to the university empty-handed. In the second episode, Ann embarked on another adventure to locate The Iron Oracle, an ancient device that is able to locate anyone in the world. Ann and her sidekick Jim, along with the help of the Oracle, have pinpointed her fathers' whereabouts, imprisoned within the hollow Earth! It's time to Chase another Adventure, as we travel to Easter Island, The Devil's Triangle and Stonehenge, to uncover the gate which leads to the Underworld!
I was one of the few reviewers who actually loved the last game in this series, The Iron Oracle, it wasn't the best TM game I've played, but I enjoyed the fact that the TM tasks are somewhat different, and they have an interesting storyline. I'm not a fan of a TM game offered in a CE at twice the cost of an SE, but I gotta give this dev kudos for including some awesome collectibles and hidden items. There are also Ancient Vases in some of the scenes, which reveal artifacts and other interesting objects. When you spot a vase, you'll need to click on it 3 times to break it open, and they are easily overlooked because there are so many items in each scene.
As I mentioned earlier, the tasks and goals are different in this TM series, for example, you have to first find a Shovel to dig up piles of sand, and you have to find a Lantern before you can explore the Ancient Barrows. Some of the sites have a few Camera Icons that are located near important landmarks or other discoveries, and you have to place the camera first, then you have to take the picture, if there is more than one object to photograph, you'll have to click on the camera again, in order to move it to the new site. You will need to strategically construct the correct buildings that will give you the resources you need such as housing for Workers, Sawmills for Wood Canteens to supply Food, or Pumping Stations for Water. Some supplies are constantly being delivered in small amounts by helicopter, mostly food or wood.
There is a Bonus Meter at the bottom of the screen that has to fill up before you can use the bonuses, such as, Faster Workers, Extra Resources, more storage etc. There is also a meter at the top, which shows you your level Star position, but any level can be replayed if you don't earn all 3 Stars. There are 3 modes of difficulty available, a Relaxed, un-timed mode as well as a Normal or Professional mode for experts.
This Collector's Edition version has 8 Wallpapers, 8 Concept Art pictures, 20 Photo Album pictures, High Score Tracker, 28 Hidden Relics, 55 hidden Spheres, 55 hidden Amulets, 45 Main Levels + 10 CE Bonus Levels and a built in Strategy Guide, enjoy!

Another jigsaw puzzle added to 8 Floor Ltd.'s long list of games, the only feature they ever change is the title! What's not to like, you ask? Well, there are 7 boxes of uninteresting puzzle pictures, the music is the same, and every feature they offer in every puzzle is the same, their puzzles offer practically no customization whatsoever. They do exist, there are puzzles out there that have tons of custom features available, really cool features, features you may not know you wanted until you do a puzzle that has them, then there's no looking back!

The only way we're ever going to get decent puzzles is to make a stand here at Big Fish, to encourage them to give us more. I have nothing against 8 Floor LTD. but nothing ever changes with their games, except for the title. The features are always the same, the music is always the same, the puzzles themselves are basically the same. They don't even have options for larger sized puzzles, and after you complete a puzzle you can't see your finished product afterward or set it as a wallpaper (prolly for the best because they aren't very cool pictures, to begin with)
In 1001 Jigsaw Home Sweet Home, you can choose puzzles from 7 different boxes, the pictures are once again, mostly staged pictures, and not very appealing. You can also earn Trophies for reaching goals such as playing a certain amount of hours, joining up to a million pieces, scoring a certain amount of points, solving a puzzle without making a mistake, solving variously sized puzzles, or solving a puzzle without using hints, sorting, or pocket features. There are also Top Scores and personal Best score tallies.
Any of the puzzles can be modified with the number of pieces, the cut shape of the pieces and whether or not you want the pieces to rotate. There are 4 different backgrounds to choose from, pink, green, blue and grey, a box to store extra pieces until needed, a Sort option a Border only option, a Hint option and an available Magnifying glass to enlarge pieces. You can also ghost the image of the puzzle to the background or hang a picture in three different sizes.
I did find a couple of puzzles here on BF, that have awesome pictures and custom features available. Yes, I'll admit, at first they seem intimidating because there are so many features to choose from, but after a few minutes of exploring the features, you soon realize that it isn't difficult, and your angst turns into excitement from all the possibilities!
In Jigsaws Galore, for example, you can assemble a puzzle with up to 64,000 pieces! And there are so many more unique features, so I've included some bullet points of just some of the custom features available in Jigsaws Galore, features which we SHOULD expect from all puzzle games:
*Each category is kept in folders, the pictures inside each folder is shown as thumbnails, choose the size of each thumbnail, create and label as many new folders as you want.
*Capture your own images or import photos, you can even crop specific sections, you can also share pictures with others who have Jigsaws Galore.
*Change the size, shape or number of pieces, you can even change these features midway through a puzzle without having to restart the puzzle.
*Choose the shape of the pieces, you can even add "fun" or "mystery shaped" pieces to the mixture by %, for example, add 5% of fish-shaped pieces randomly into the puzzle, or 0 if you just want normally shaped pieces.
*Ghost the image, AND choose the brightness of the ghosted picture, hang a picture for reference, choose the background color OR the type of material used.
*Open up as many trays as you want to hold puzzle pieces, (not just a single box that can't be sorted, labeled or even easily viewed) choose the color of each tray and label the trays, right click each tray and fetch the pieces you want in each tray, such as blue pieces, or fun shaped pieces, you can choose how to arrange the pieces within each tray, line the trays along the sides, top or bottom, which can be clearly viewed and know what pieces are in which trays (sky, water, land, blue, specific shapes, however, you want!)
*Select how you want to sort the puzzle pieces, along with the edges, in a grid formation, random, you can ever de-arrange pieces, and this option is available inside each tray as well. They will even arrange by grouping the same shaped puzzle pieces together.
*The toolbar can be on the top, bottom or side, and you can hide the toolbar to give you more room.
*There is a zoom feature, a magnifying glass which can be set at different strengths.
*Choose how thick or thin the pieces are, add shadows, turn on/off anti-aliasing (graphics realism) whether you want the outlines to disappear once the pieces snap together to show a smooth image. You can even choose the snap distance of the pieces, and choose puzzle piece rotation preference of clockwise or counterclockwise.
*Auto-save the puzzle at specific intervals automatically, such as every 5 minutes, never lose your progress again!
*Use tools such as undo, demo, next piece finds, hints, mystery mode, auto solve, overlay pictures, zoom, or even timers. It even shows you the number of pieces in the puzzle, and how many pieces you have placed.
Now, do you want more?? When you know what CAN BE available, it makes a big difference doesn't it? I'm sure there are lots of gamers who don't care about all these features, and just want a relaxing and simple puzzle to while away the time, but if you do want to see more puzzles offered with these kinds of options...make a stand and let your voice be heard...WE PUZZLE GEEKS WANT MORE
I recommend this game!

I have a feeling this will be a love it or hate it kinda game. It's an old-fashioned HOG with 20 different Road Trip destinations to the Grand Canyon, Mount Rushmore, a Dinosaur Park, the Beach, a Picnic, The Alamo, a Ghost Town, a Gas Station, a Las Vegas Casino, a Drive-In theater, Jazz Bar, Dude Ranch, Diner, Museum, a River Boat, an Ice Cream Shop, the Motel Pool, Niagara Falls, a Utah Campsite, and the Golden Gate Bridge.
Each Location has several different types of HO's, a Listed item find, a Jumbled Word finds, Missing Vowel finds, Riddled Clue finds, Silhouetted Shape finds, and flashlight Word finds. You can choose any location, and everytime you replay a location, it changes to a different mode. Every scene location has a hidden Interstate Sign, some of which are very well hidden. Once you find all 5 Interstate Signs, it will Unlock Unlimited Listed item and Silhouetted Shape find modes.
After each Hidden Object Game, you will play a small Mini-Game to break up the monotony, such as Spot the Difference, a Match 3 game, Blocks, or a Mahjong game. The HO's are timed, but only as a scoring system, so you don't have to rush if you don't want to.
I've said it before, a HOG can still have relevance in today's age of technologically advanced HOPA games, if it's done right, and this one's pretty decent, enjoy
I recommend this game!

Why do these guys make their games look so much alike? Most of their games have so much blue, it's nearly blinding, and if I didn't look at the title, I'd have a hard time telling the difference between this game and Mystery Tales, other than not having those stupid glasses, a gimmick that is simply swapped out with a healers kit! As far as the benefits of the Collector's Edition vs.this Standard Edition, I will say that, if you like collecting items (collecting because they aren't really hidden) this particular game has a ton of collectibles in the CE version, but it's a hard game to get into, because it's far too repetitive and at times boring. Here's a recap of my review to help you decide which version, if either is right for you:
Apparently, the citizens of the Tar Empire could use a Snickers bar, because they are becoming little demons with a big attitude. It's a good thing I'm immune to any and all diseases, because this demonic plague transforms an average adult into a horned beast with green glowing eyes. Six-inch horns protruding from almost every inch of their bodies, amazingly has no lifelong complications once I work my magic, not even a scar remains, but then again, I am THE Honored Healer!
I've got everything I need to perform this exorcism, Healer's Kit, check! All seeing Diagnostic Lens (aka magnifying glass, hey, I'm not Wonder Woman), check! A Quill that magically writes and draws pictures with several different colors at the same time without needing ink, check! A Dagger given to me by a warrior guard to defend myself upon this dangerous mission, check....cancel that check, because I discard it after one use, and have to revert to burning ropes when I could have just hung onto the dagger! So now I mount my trusty steed, hoping he doesn't catch the plague, otherwise it's going to be a miserable road trip. I ditched my dagger for some odd reason, but I hung onto a small metal pin, because my healing ability senses told me I'd need to fix a door hinge, and I was spot on, I did indeed need a door hinge pin on my first leg of the journey! After curing a very grateful fellow healer, I wave goodbye and continue my journey, why not, two healers is just a crowd right? My next stop is at the witches hut, which was weird, why? Well, the witch wasn't able to whip up her own witch hazel wellness cure, which was worth wondering about when I realized her witchy witch-hut was locked from the inside...this is going to be a long journey!
Normally, I'm not a fan of recipe making mini-games, because there's usually no skill involved, it usually entails throwing ingredients into a cauldron in a specific order, and half the time it doesn't allow you to place the wrong ingredient in the wrong order. However, I don't mind the Healer's Kit mini-game as much, because at least you have to make educated guesses. The first step is to use the Diagnostic Lens to examine the patient, which cannot be done incorrectly because it glows a reddish-pink to alert you to click on an area you can basically already see with the naked eye, to begin with. After zooming into the affected area, you have to click once again to select it, which automatically queues that magic quill to jot down the findings in the Healer's Book. Now that you've made a diagnosis, that same magical quill draws some beautifully detailed pictures in every color imaginable, of the ingredients you'll need to whip up a demon hex cure. Once you have found all of the ingredients, you open up the Healer's Kit, and play a mini-game to complete the potion, which for some reason is different for every patient?
The Hidden Object Scenes are varied with Silhouetted Shape finds, Interactive list finds, Keywords in Sentence finds and replacing items correctly back into the scene. There are also several smaller Zoom Zone HOP's, and there is an alternate Match 3 game available in the CE version.
The Mini Games are available in either an Easy or Hard mode, which is a fantastic feature that I wish all games included. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Diagnostic Lens game, click on suspicious areas of interest
2) Healer's Kit game, place ingredients logically, test solution.
3) Guide your horse through a maze while avoiding monsters.
4) Use all directional tiles to guide bronze tile over all cells.
5) Connect all the dots without overlapping.
6) Light symbols using clockwise or counterclockwise buttons
7) Reassemble the symbols by rotating discs.
8) Select buttons to swap tiles to match the clue shown.
9) Choose cup that contains a butterfly wing in a shuffle game
10) Repeat the sequence of flashes the demon makes.
The Collector's Edition version has 10 Wallpapers, 10 Concept Art pictures, 5 Music Soundtracks, 17 re-playable Hidden Object Scenes, 17 re-playable Mini Games, 26 Achievements to earn, 15 Collectible Creature Eggs (click to hatch within the Medico Imperium) 15 Collectible Medallions (represents a different theater personality) 76 Hidden Coins (used to buy 15 Magic Lab items) Missing Journal Notes to find, 5 Chapters + Bonus Chapter and a built in Strategy Guide.

Mad Head Games seems to be the only developer spitting out new series games with fresh ideas lately. None of the other devs have offered anything new for quite some time, they just keep adding cookie cutter versions to the end of a long-running series, while Mad Head delivers entirely new introductory series games. Wanderlust, Adam Wolfe, Dawn of Hope, Donna Brave, Fright Chasers, and most recently, Moonsouls! Some work, some don't, but you gotta give 'em credit for being one of the few devs who even tries!
I wasn't expecting to enjoy Wanderlust as much as I did, but it's a solid game throughout, without a lot of ups and downs after the demo like a lot of games nowadays have. I loved the way they wrapped up the storyline towards the end, and that I wasn't left with more questions than answers. There are 4 Chapters + a Bonus Chapter which is a continuation of the storyline, but I can't really indulge further, without spoiling the main game plot. If you like alien themed games, Mayan themed or games related to the Amazon, you'll love this game because it has it all! Here's a recap of my review to help you decide which version, if either, is right for you:
In 1935 a strange pyramid erupted from the earth's surface in Cairo Egypt, the very next day it vanished as quickly as it arrived. This incident was nearly forgotten until 1943 when yet another mysterious pyramid tore through the hadalpelagic zone of the Atlantic Ocean and disappeared without a trace. Two days ago, another massive pyramid made a grand entrance in the Amazons! Is someone, or something trying to make contact? Only one thing's for certain, the Archaeological Race is on, pitting two competitive sisters against one another, each one eager to find the answers to this ancient alien mystery, before the other!
Somebody's been listening! After a brief slump, Mad Head Games has clawed its way back to the top of the HOPA pile, with a brand new "ancient alien" themed sci-fi series. Because we are now a seasoned Archaeologist, we are equipped with gadgets, tools of the trade of course. I did find this feature a bit humorous because when I first opened my archaeologist toolkit, out rolled a couple of brushes, a hatchet, a trowel, and of course a Glyph Book for deciphering codes. First off, what does an archaeologist do with a hatchet, aren't they supposed to be extremely careful so as not to damage the precious findings? So then I pick up the tools that I rolled onto the ground, but not all of them, just 1 brush and the hatchet, as well as the Glyph Book, so now my kit consists of 1 book, 1 hatchet, and 1 brush, as well as a picture of dear father. and not one of my rival sister who is also an archaeologist like their father. The good news is that the hatchet doesn't need sharpening by a whetstone OR oiled to remove the rust, it doesn't even need a new handle!
They're back! No, not the aliens, the famous Mad Head Games Collector's Edition version hidden Spirals, 30 of them to be specific! I will say though, they seem to be a tad bit more hidden than usual, but perhaps it's because the scenery graphics are similar. Other than Morphing Objects within the Hidden Object Scenes, that's about all the bling you're going to get with the CE version. (the spirals continue into the BC)
The Hidden Object Scenes are varied, but kind of scarce with only 2 offered within the demo, but there are a total of 18, so there's plenty offered in the full version. The first demo HOP is an Interactive List find, the second one was very impressive, requiring you to find sections within the landscape of places to avoid on the map. The symbols are reference marks, and I found it to be very entertaining, and HOPe to see more of this unique twist. After the demo, just about every style is offered, Silhouetted Shapes, Multiples, Matching Pairs, and several Symbol finds as well.
The Mini Games are in abundance, some of which are new, I didn't have to skip any of them, which is a good indicator that they are all doable and not frustrating. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Rotate 4 corner Mazes so the ball travels the entire board.
2) Stop the target when it's inside the circle. repeat x2
3) Combine partial symbols in the correct slots.
4) Rotate the lever to corresponding symbols in correct order.
5) Select to stop the boot as it overlaps the beam.
6) Rotate the knob to match symbols in the center.
7) Lower all the flaps marked with an X, 1 may affect others.
8) Match symbols so they activate the circles at the top.
9) Direct the beam of light from the bottom left to the top right.
10) Stop the red arrow when it's in the zone of 2 angles.
11) Release the ball at the correct time to bypass boobytraps.
The Collector's Edition has 10 Achievements, 30 Collectible Spirals, 18 re-playable Hidden Object Scenes, 18 Morphing Objects within the HOP's, an Ultimate Puzzle, 7 Character Pictures, 4 Wallpapers, Concept Art pictures that unlock once you visit the scene, 10 Music Soundtracks, 4 Main Chapters + Bonus Chapter and a built in Strategy Guide enjoy!

fromDid you know that the Johnstown Flood of 1889 caused one of the worst dam failures in US history claiming over 2200 lives? A local Fishing Club restored an abandoned earthen dam that failed during heavy rains its flow rate equalled that of the Mississippi

Alice was just an ordinary girl trying to survive in a harsh post-apocalyptic environment. In the blink of an eye, her life changed drastically, after discovering a seemingly ordinary box. The unassuming box contained a beautiful Phoenix, and from that day forward, Alice became one with the Phoenix. Her beautiful fiery red hair turned silver, and a glowing Phoenix tattoo appeared on her arm, a constant reminder that things will never be ordinary again! Alice has been chosen to be the burning Flame in the Darkness, but the Darkness is relentless. The Darkness is drawn to the Flame, and the hunt won't end until the Flame has been extinguished!
This Collector's Edition version has everything a gamer could ask for, it even has a fantastic BOGO sale, but to be honest, I would have purchased this game at full price, which is something I never do! On the Custom Setting mode, you can disable the cursor from turning into a hand when it scans across a collectible or morph, which is a fantastic feature, for those of us who want a little more challenge. Each scene has a Morphing Object (30) and a Collectible (42) from 6 different categories (6 Rings, 8 Origami, 8 Broaches, 7 Gold Statues, 6 Jade Frogs, 7 Lotus Flowers) These objects are small and morph slowly, and are blended into the scenery, unlike some games where everything sticks out like a sore thumb and practically screams "here I am"!
The Hidden Object Scenes are really scarce, but it's the same way in the other two Darkness and Flame games. There are only two HOS available within the demo, a very Interactive Listed Item find and a Progressive, Interactive, Silhouetted Shape find where you find items and place them back into the scene to progress, such as finding a key to unlock a case that has an item inside that can be used on another item, and so forth. There are no alternate type puzzles, but some of the HOP's have smaller puzzles to solve.
The Mini Games are decent but can easily be solved on the first attempt, and there aren't enough for my personal preference. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Choose the correct stones to climb the wall.
2) Use the magnet to find scissors in the water.
3) Click arrows to move key to lock w/o running into obstacles.
4) Swap fan sections to complete image.
5) Swap turtles to their color-coded slots.
6) Choose 2 symbols to match the center symbol on steps.
7) Use arrows to move a ball through a maze to the hole.
This Collector's Edition version has 9 Wallpapers, 7 Concept Art pictures, 14 Movie Videos, 8 Music Soundtracks, 21 re-playable Mini Games, 22 Achievements to earn, 42 Hidden Collectibles (6 Rings, 8 Origami, 8 Broaches, 7 Gold Statues, 6 Jade Frogs, 7 Lotuses) 30 Morphing Objects, 7 Puzzles (earned by completing Collectible categories & Morphing Object finds) 20 Bonus Games, 6 Main Chapters + Bonus Chapter, and a built-in Strategy Guide, enjoy the Darkness!
