I loved this game set in the early 20th century with cameo's of a young Albert Einstein and Coco Chanel.
Excellent story line, mostly do-able puzzles, decent variety of HOS. Most of the scenes appear to be handpainted in acrylic or water color and are well done. I liked our cheeky heroine, and with heroic if rather bumbling Albert they were a fun pair.
I may go back and purchase the CE version, if it has more of the story...it left us stranded, sort of.

This is absolutely Elephant Games at it's best. I've always loved the Mystery Tracker Series, and it seems they have got a second wind. Great story line which was on target throughout the game. For those who don't care for pet assistants (I like 'em:) you can choose to work without Elf, the little chihuahua sidekick. 'Course then you will miss out on collecting cute outfits for him. ...which depending on your view can be good or bad;) The voice overs were excellent, although I did get a little tired of our young scientist's high voice, but still, consistent with the character. The HOS were good, even mixing it up a bit and looking for morphing objects occasionally. As noted by a few sharp observers, there ARE re-playable HOS and puzzles, 'tho I don't usually do them. In the case of Elephant Games I always replay, and don't want to solve the puzzles to easily:) I rarely do this, but I'm going to recommend purchasing the CE version of this game as you learn more about the new adversaries (see above) and it rounds off the game nicely.
I really like this game. Firstly because as another viewer as said it is not "cookie cutter" The HOS have a lot of different variants, which keeps your interest up; some I've not seen before in other games. The collectible is "only" a gift box, and most are easy, but I missed a few that were really well hidden, and some because I got so caught up in the game I forgot to look. Fortunately, after you finish the bonus game it lets you go back and find them. Also the "Secret Room" in the extras has a nice twist in making you do more to find the objects and most were cleverly hidden! I'm glad I got the CE, but even an SE version would be good, because there is some first class sleuthing here. Occasionally you get to switch identities between the husband and wife protagonist, which worked very well. There were a couple of great red herrings too! The graphics were well done and true to the time period. I also loved the old timey map which was drawn like a tourist map:)
A mysterious plague casts a dark shadow on the people of Persia. The young apothecary Tara must discover the cause of the illness before it's too late!

This is a wonderful SE game, with a fresh look at a (for me) unfamiliar culture. The young people's dialog shows a respect and equality that doesn't overpower you with male/female angst. They just work together well. I hope that the whole game will reflect this. The story line is ancient of course, but for me the winner is the mutual respect and skills of both protagonists. This is a winner!
This game kept my interest up all the way through. There were lots of collectibles, some easy some hard. The HOS were varied which made them entertaining and not the same old same old.
There is a map which makes it quicker to get around, and most of the puzzles were doable for me (I'm not great at puzzles) but when I couldn't do them I could skip.
The bonus chapter was just as well done, and one of the longest bonus chapters I've seen.
I really like this "hidden city" concept, and hope they will do more. I highly recommend this game!
This game starts off as hard SF, but soon all chaos is breaking loose. The story was all over the place from buccaneers and pirating to SF take over the world baddies. But somehow I kept playing, and ended up enjoying the game. They did allow you to pick up whichever morphing object or sigil you missed, which is always a plus. And the bonus story was much more straightforward and cohesive, and with the extras was worth it as a CE. I will enjoy playing this game a second time, now that I (sort of) know what is going on.
An amulet purchased in an antique shop has awakened an ancient and terrible evil. Help rescue your beloved and save mankind from the coming eternal frost!
I absolutely loved this game. A true HOG/Adventure. The stilted graphics were awkward, but the story telling and pace were superb. I wish there were a CE version! There were dozens of places I could see collectibles being!
Although I have to admit I had to wait for a warm day to play this game. Very chilling!

There were moments in this game when I actually enjoyed it. Unfortunately they were few and far between. Firstly there is no guide, that I could ever find. Secondly the games were repetitive, especially at the end where for every action you had to play the same elimination game. No variation. The same one. Over. And Over. The instructions about the hearts and morphing objects were vague. I didn't find out until the end of the game that I should also have been looking for monsters for my collection of 5 or 6. And they didn't provide away to go back and get them. The game itself was a good length. The bonus very short and uninspired. My suggestion is try the demo, then get the SE edition if you must, with a free credit. To me the game was sloppily put together without much thought.
An excellent game, beautifully illustrated, but they miss the chance to have lots of hidden objects in such a Victorian setting! A good mystery in the beginning, the game grew quickly repetitive, and once I’d figured out what must have happened, rather boring. The few puzzles I encountered I could solve. And sadly, nothing in the extras, except replaying HOP’s and Puzzles. It would have been fine as an SE. Still, kudos to the devs for thinking outside the box for the secret of this mystery...
I just finished this game and I must say I was disappointed. Not by the graphics or HOS or even the music. It was like pulling teeth to get through the final chapters, and I finally figured out why. The Story. It is all over the place. There are actually several story lines going, and if you are quick and get the morphing objects during the game, they will help understand the story line. However I didn't find them all and totally missed that they are in the bonus chapter too.
The ending was bitter sweet, I rather liked it. But most of the game seemed a frantic chase to get something or get somewhere and I finally got bored with not knowing what was going on. I wanted a clearer more on point story line. I think they tried to do much in one game. Certainly the result was to spoil what could have been a much better game. Even though DP has gotten better with making the "bits and pieces" HOS better, in the end, there were just too much of them and it got irritating. Now to be fair, if you want a game that is lots of frag search, with beautiful scenery and the glitz of morphs and collectibles, you will love this game. But for me, the story is the backbone, and it just doesn't cut it. Maybe when I go back to play it again in a year or so I will do better, knowing more of the overall story line as I do now. This is definitely a game you have to choose for your self. Check out the demo.
