The game is so different to most. You play as three different children throughout the game. Each child explores a different area, but there is one common area where they can exchange objects they've found. It is quite inventive. The built in SG is helpful when you get stuck. The graphics are nice, the HOS are well done, the hint button refills quickly (but you with the built in SG, you don't need the hint very often), the interactive map is very helpful and the voice overs are well done.
My only complaint about this game is that sometimes when the children meet in the common area they don't all appear on the screen. You have to click the missing child and re-enter the common area. This was a minor annoyance and didn't happen all the time.
I recommend this game.

This game was so much fun. In most areas of the game you can switch between daylight and darkness, which totally changes the setting. You have to find objects in each setting and figure out where to use them so you can stop the demon. The puzzles were entertaining. The graphics were good. I muted the music, so can't speak to that. You find various clips from your journalist friend that fill in the back story.
There are two bonus chapters and both were good and added to the story.
I highly recommend this game and am looking forward to playing the next in the series.

This game really gets you in the mood for Christmas! It is based on the 12 Days of Christmas song. It is HOS and find the difference throughout the game. The HOS are not difficult, but finding some objects is a challenge. Plus you have to find the items to complete the song. The graphics are nice and clear. You help Santa throughout the game. The music is nice. I really enjoyed this game and will play it every Christmas season.

This game is so charming. I really enjoyed playing it. You are helping the Nutcracker rescue his princess from the Rat King. The graphics and excellent. The Christmas tree is absolutely beautiful. There are a number of locations to search and you pick up some helpers along the way. The background music is by Tchaikovsky is wonderful! I wish more developers used classical music. The cut scenes are amazing and build the story. The HOS are nicely done. The mini games are fun, not too hard, but fun. The achievements are fun, especially looking for the dolls.
There isn't a journal, but you don't need one. The map is excellent. It shows you where you have "to do" items and transports you from location to location. The built in SG is excellent and easily accessible during game play.
The ending of the main game is very satisfying. The bonus game is a nice addition, but not necessary to complete the main game.
The bonus chapter is a nicely done. You collect various cat friends who help you during the game. There are a couple new locations in the bonus game which are nice.
I highly recommend this game. It is charming and a nice game to play during the Christmas season.
I recommend this game!

This game was good, but could have been great. You are returning to the city of your childhood after 20 years to find out what happened and what became of your parents. This game has a sci-fi theme, which I liked. Unfortunately, they should have fleshed out the back story a bit more.
The good things about this game are....
*Excellent graphics - clear, crisp, not too dark, not overdone.
*Fun HOS - they add a new dimension by having HOS within an HOS which I really enjoyed. Most of the items are easy to find. One annoyance is that some things were mis-labeled.
*The background sounds were so nice - ocean waves and waterfalls, it was so soothing and enjoyable during game play.
*The mini games were really interesting - the developers came up with some new ideas and made the games really interesting.
*The map was good - showed you where you were and where you had "to do" items. Plus they threw in a twist with the map which I found really interesting.
*The task list was nicely done.
*Built in SG! It was accessible during game play and usually opened to the correct page for the scene. I was thrilled to see an SG in an SE version of a game.
The annoying things about this game are....
*Too much hand-holding during the mini games - you were given explicit instructions which was especially annoying since most of the games were so different. It would have been nice to spend some time working out how to solve them.
*Too much "talking" during cut scenes - the developers should have found a better way to do "info dumps" during the game. The "talking" and clicking to get through it became really tedious at times.
*The music was really annoying and I muted it after 10 minutes.
*The journal sometimes gave too much info. I recommend not reading the journal unless you're stuck.
*The story was not fleshed out enough...or maybe they picked the wrong things to emphasize. I would have enjoyed a bit more storyline and a bit less "where's my mother."
*The ending was too abrupt and not very satisfying. I assume they were setting up for a sequel, but I wish they had taken more time with the ending.
The truly awful thing about this game was the voice overs. The main character's delivery was truly, truly, truly awful! She sounded like she was in a trance. She didn't sound the least bit sincere or interested. The other voice overs were not very good, but no where near as horrible as the main character.
Overall, I enjoyed this game and hope these developer continue turning out games. I recommend this game to those who can over look the annoyances.
I recommend this game!

I enjoyed this game even though it was confusing in a couple of places. The time traveling was fun, searching for ravens and clover was fun. Some of the clover was very difficult to find. There were interesting connections between the eras. The HOS and mini games were fun. The graphics were excellent. The ending was satisfying.
I would recommend trying to play this game in one sitting. I played it over several evenings and I think that added to some of my confusion in certain sections of the game.
I recommend this game!

This game is so much fun. You're a princess trying to save the kingdom from the curse of an evil witch. There are HOS, mini games and potions to keep you entertained on your journey. The HOS and mini games were excellent. The voice overs and cut scenes were well done. The background music was not too annoying. The ending was good. The bonus chapter was rather short, but loads of fun. It was definitely worth the price of a CE.
There is a journal which is helpful. There is no map, but you don't really need one.
My only annoyance with this game is they tipped their hand too early on the twist. I wish they had kept things hanging a bit longer.
Overall, I really enjoyed this game and highly recommend it.

This game is a blast. The storyline is fun and keeps you going. The graphics, cut scenes and voice overs are excellent. The HOS have a twist, you can play the HOS or choose to play Mahjong. I've never seen that option and it was fun. The HOS were a mix of traditional and interactive. The mini games were good (most were fairly easy, but I didn't mind).
You have fun with undead pirates who talk to you. They cracked me up. They give you some good info, but are also snarky which is fun. There's also a funny creature guarding the treasure chest. The CGI on this character is great.
The storyline really pulls you in as you try to unravel the mystery of the pirate captain and his beloved so you can save your daughter. The ending of the main game was satisfying, but did leave one question unanswered.
The bonus chapter answers the question and continues the fun with undead pirates. The bonus chapter is a bit short, but still worth the money for the CE. As part of the extras in the CE, you have the opportunity to replay the HOS or mahjong games.
During the game you have a journal which is somewhat helpful. You also have maps which are excellent. They show where you are and the places where you have things still to be done. The SG is well done. My only complaint about the SG is that it goes back to the TOC when you exit and relaunch the game.
I really enjoyed this game and will replay it in the future. I highly recommend this game.

Overall I enjoyed this game. It has some annoyances, but I'll start with the good things. You are off to another abandoned town searching for another dark dimension. This time all the townspeople you meet seem to have been turned into wax.
The good: Your mission is to discover what happened. The graphics, music and background sounds are excellent. The storyline is good, although it got a bit muddled at times. The mini games were fun, some were on the easy side, but still fun. The journal was useful and the built-in SG was well done. The ending of the main game was satisfying. The bonus chapter was a nice addition and the ending set up the next installment in the series.
The annoyances: The HOS were fairly dark and some items were almost impossible to see. They seemed to get darker as the game rolled along. The voice overs were so-so. Some of them were excellent, but some were poorly done. The cut scenes were done with live actors. Some of the actors were good, but some were overly dramatic.
Even with the annoyances, I enjoyed the game and recommend it.

I enjoyed this game. You travel to an abandoned town covered with fog to attempt to discover what happened. Along the way you meet several ghosts of townspeople who help move the story along. There are lots of places to visit in and around the town. The graphics are excellent, the voice overs are well done, the music is not annoying, the HOS are fun (a mix of traditional and interactive), the mini games are excellent and the story had a satisfying ending.
The bonus chapter was a nice addition, but not necessary to the main story. The SG was excellent and very helpful when you get stuck. The journal was helpful.
My only complaint with this game is some of the HOS are very, very, very picky about where you click things to select them. Some items are incredibly picky. It became really annoying by the end of the game.
Overall, I enjoyed this game and recommend it.
