I really didn't want to like this game. Do (Domini) has always been hit or miss for me. Too many misses. However, I cannot in anyway say that with Missing Hearts: Crimson Cruise. It was an interesting storyline, great gameplay, good mini games, and a real unexpected ending! I have to give credit when it's due. This is a good game. The strategy guide is a must for some, so that takes away from having 5 stars. A true CE should always have a strategy guide. I do recommend.
OK, Grandma hit another one out of the park! I am not for one second taking for granted the hard work put into these HOPA games. This one checked all of the boxes for me. Good storyline, visually pleasing, interesting tasks (and different), and the gameplay was not too short. The bonus game gave the main game a run for its money. Do I recommend? Of course!
Review based on trial. I did not have very high hopes for this one. Boy was I wrong! This HOPA is different, in a very good way. It feels original, if that makes sense. If there's any drawback for me, the conversations were too long in the beginning. However, I loved the game. I stopped my trial and made the purchase. Looking forward to another Mystery Trip.
Based on Trial. Love this series, love the Guardian, love GrandMa! As usual, it was visually pleasing and the tasks were just right for me. When the trial ended, I wanted more! I will be purchasing this game for sure. But just want to address something that appears to happening more and more. Using the review for technical issues. It's not fair to the developers who put hard work into creating these fantastic games for us. It can also be considered deceptive since the issue is not with the content of the game. BigFish does have a help page. They are usually pretty good at trying to solve any technical issues. USE THEM! Don't use the review page. Now I will purchase my game.
How does it feel, CA, to know that there are many imitators but none can replicate what you do? But they sure do try! Just saying. I am so thankful that you guys don't just throw another game off of the assembly line just because you can. The anticipation of another Vacation Adventures Cruise Director, I love it! The cast of characters are like old buddies to me at this point. By the way, Bob looks a bit different. Did Mary get a divorce and marry another man named Bob? Lol. I know what I'm getting when I buy these games. A whole lotta fun! You guys make me want to travel the world! Thank you for staying true. Thank you for continuing to think about the player. Number 9! Another winner!
I am a bit on the fence with this one. I wanted to really enjoy playing this game. I don't like this Richard. I know, new body, new voice, new, new! It just feels off. I just wanted to get to the end. I didn't hate it though. There's that fence. The bonus game? Time wasted. This game made me go back into my collection and replay Grim Tales The Legacy. An oldie but goodie. Going forward, Elephant, do better with this series.
This has got to be the best in the series! I have all of them. Not at all knocking the older games, however, this one is without a doubt the best. It was fresh and familiar at the same time, if that makes sense. The graphics were outstanding. The mini games were a departure from the same ol' same ol'. I loved the length of the gameplay. A true CE. The bonus game, a true bonus. Grandma, you are on a roll! Keep it up, please. Highly recommend.
Or is it a "new" villain? Masks always make me question whether or not it'll be someone already known. With that being said. I really liked this game. Loved the storyline. The bonus game, to me, was even better than the main game. I'm just a bit partial to Richard. But overall a good time. I would have given 5 stars had it not been so short. What is with developers and these short so-called CEs? When it's too short it makes it appear to be rushed just to get it over. Please stop with the short CEs. Please. I do recommend, however.
I was two hours into this game when I had to stop and submit this review! I have been a fan of MCF since its inception and seen many ups and downs. However, the bar has been raised and this is how a CE is done! Developers, imitators, and everyone who has a hand in making HOPs, this game should be a prerequisite moving forward. The homage to the ones who came before, loved it! The mini games took me back to when they were actually challenging and real thought had to be put into solving them. Stellar. I had a bit of trepidation on buying this one but I am so glad I did! Visually appealing, very generous gameplay (which a CE should be) and enjoyable. I cannot give more than 5 stars it deserves 10! WELL DONE. Do I recommend? Absolutely!
I loved Elephant Games. I loved Paranormal Files. Until this so called CE. I played the beta. I loved it. Couldn't wait for the full game to find out how this all played out. I feel like I was hoodwinked. Chaos Weekend felt off. It felt rushed. It definitely wasn't what I would label CE. The bonus game was even worse. I don't understand what has happened to BigFish and its offerings. I guess I should come to the realization that times have changed and not for the better. I do not recommend this game. Unless you have points or money to burn and time to waste.
