Most of the games now are the same old, same old. All predictable and very rarely do I give a 5-star rating. I give Riddles of Fate a 4-star for the concept, for all the hard work the developers put into this game. All games should be entertaining on a whole, and not end so abruptly whether it's a CE or SE. Of course, it shouldn't be too easy either because that would defeat the purpose, thus the 3 or 4 different game modes. And if it's too difficult people won't play them. It should be unique, different from the rest, and technically sound--no freeze-ups, no problems with the cursor or mouse when you click on an item to find you have to click on it a 2nd or 3rd time (not the computer's fault). Basically, most of the games are just about the same. Some are better than others. If Elephant Games and Eipix, and Blue Tea, just to name a few, put their heads together, I'm sure they'd come up with the most fantastic game of all time. Riddles of Fate was great but all too familiar. But I certainly recommend it. There's always that special game for someone!

Not the perfect game but close to it--four-star rating in all. This game has it all! Lots of HOS, interactive, silhouettes (far too many, in my opinion). I finished the main game quickly and am now in the Bonus Game which takes place in India. You must find the stolen device that Robideaux had stolen. Also, if I wanted to play just HOS I would have ordered just HOS, but in fairness to this game, it had a lot of other exciting things to accomplish which broke up the monotony and though such a short game, it was very intelligently written. I give it an A+ for being one of the best organized, smooth, flowing games to date. Beautiful artwork, nice music, some easy puzzles and some really easy. Some of the HOS were repetitive and were junk piles with the objects being rather tiny to locate but the items were strategically planted to be difficult, at least for the last one or two items on the list. I liked collecting the sunburst objects and the info cards. Very cool! Just when I thought the game was too easy (played in advanced mode), it got tricky in some areas. But for flow, and the storyline, tho short, it was great and I very much recommend the CE version.

I don't do demos but it's nice that they're offered. I buy SE's & CE's depending on what is offered and have gotten great deals on numerous games from Big Fish. I rely on the pros and cons of the reviewers and trust their judgments and then take it from there. Also, if the game is lower than a 4-star, I shy away from them. This game was not the perfect game but it was good enough for me. I felt bad (yes, I did) about those poor women who were murdered by that discontented freakazoid. There was a lot of back n' forth business but at least the game flowed, and that's important to me. CE's that offer concept art and wallpapers do not interest me. I don't need the added clutter to my computer/laptop and seems such a waste to offer it. In this bonus game you were transported to London, which I thought was cool. Graphics were beautiful throughout the entire game; good VOS; the puzzles weren't hard; I liked the task of making potions, etc. Had no problem finding all the scents which was rather clever of the developers for that concept. HOS were clear and fun, and the game was not short at all, a big plus! The developers put a lot of thought and work into this game. Kudos to them. Whether you choose SE or CE buy the game.

Could have been the mood I was in but Shiver: Vanishing Hitchhiker was too gray for me. I like long games but couldn't wait to finish this one which ended abruptly. And as much as HOS, this game, to me, had far too many. I like a balance of tasks in my games. There's a perfect game/genre for everyone and this isn't one of them for me. I like visually appealing games but will tolerate bleak as long as the game piques my interest. It's not a bad game, and it had some good points here n' there, otherwise I would not have finished it. The intro was very good but you can't always go by that! However, given my three-star rating, I would still recommend it.
I found this game equally as good as the Dark Parables: Red Riding Hood Sisterhood. Blue Tea Game developers put a lot of work into this episode. I won't give you the 411 of the storyline because other reviewers have done so and quite well, I might add. I've played so many games so far that by now if you were to ask me what the stories were about, I couldn't tell you unless I viewed the trailer and played the game again to jumpstart the memory. This game was quite pleasing to the eye! Such excellent graphics and lovely music and sound effects. The game plan was very organized and flowed so well. My kind of game. I didn't want it to end. I played the CE and by all means buy it. I'm glad I did!

I'm nearing the end of this game and I have to write that either the developers are geniuses or they've had one too many neurostimulators!! Whew! What a game! I give this game 4-1/2 stars. There are some negatives, in my opinion, but they are far and few between! It seemed just around every corner there was yet another HO scene! I just wanted to get on with the adventure, not that the HOS aren't fun; they are! The game had some neat puzzles, some hard, some very easy that you could solve just by chance. You could skip them, too. The hint button was great. No transporter map. You have left, right, up and down arrows to get to your destinations. Many of the tasks are quite involved, which I love. I thoroughly enjoyed repairing the car, getting the Internet up and running, checking emails, codes, you name it! Very clever indeed! There is so much to this game. I did take the time to read all the text, which could be annoying after a point, but it was helpful to the game. Black background with white text in a funky, script-type font. Speaking of text, there was a grammar error where they used the word "one" instead of "won." No big deal, but it just stuck out like a sore thumb with me. The storyline was off the wall, but it had me on the edge of my seat at times. The music was cool. If certain sounds annoy you, you can turn the audio down or off. There are butterflies in each scene that you can collect, as well as rewards. I did not play the first game, Lost City. However, Lost City: Post Scriptum is really different and pleasantly surprising. I would highly recommend it. You can get some great deals with Big Fish, so get on their email list.
If you go into a game distracted or tired, you will lose interest quickly. You have to be in a good mind set when playing games such as this one. I'm halfway through the SE and so far there is a lot of back n' forth and difficult objects to find in the hidden object scenes; good storyline; nice graphics. There are junk pile HOS but the objects are challenging to find. Items will be situated in odd places or right in front of your face. So, if you're tired, close out the game and come back to it later. As I've always mentioned before, if there is too much time spent on HOS, and not enough adventure, then the game is not for me. But not so with this game. Hallowed Legends:Templar has enough in it to keep me interested. Regarding the items in your inventory, some of those will be needed in the hidden object scenes from time to time. In the meantime, you have real people in the cut scenes, who were very good, in my opinion. Hint button was great; morphing doves are in each scene just about; as far as receiving an achievement award for those, there is none at least not in the Standard Edition so it's possible that it might be in the CE. There is no transporting map, which I feel all games should have but there are some players who don't mind this and who play in hard core mode without the whistles and bells. To each his own. In either case, this game is truly clever even though sometimes there is no rhyme to its reason. A madman needs water, for instance, but the water is contaminated, so hey, there's some wine barrels somewhere in town; grab the flask and get the OLD wine to him! He'll chug that down real quick, let me tell ya'! It's not THE perfect game, but I would definitely recommend it for its cleverness, fun factor, and challenge.

I really liked this game and if BigFish had 1/2 options to apply to the scoring, I would give it 4-1/2 stars. There were black screen pauses throughout scenes and I'm positive it wasn't my laptop, but they weren't annoying enough for me to bow out of the game to check the help section of BigFish or to notify them about it. But I feel all games should be tried and tested beforehand. Nonetheless, this game was very clever. So much to do; lots of achievements and I had even forgotten about the tea kettles but that's because I got very engrossed in the story. Great map which is a must for all games; great hint button, very organized game plan (a big plus), good music; great artwork, tricky puzzles and a wonderful bonus chapter. I won't be surprised if there is a sequel (unless I missed something and there was). Getting the villain does not end playing the main game, so it would behoove you to get the collector's edition; however, it doesn't seem to end there either. I didn't mind the tediousness of this game because it was well-organized. Some games require spending too much time accomplishing one task when all I want to do is to get on with it! This wasn't the case. I highly recommend this game. Thanks BigFish for the great deals and this was one of them!

As you're getting engrossed in a game then you come upon a task, for instance, unlocking a cage, to find that you have to do 5 other tasks to accomplish it! My feeling was, 'Folks, let's get on with the game, will ya'! I want to get to the real good stuff.' This game had a lot of good stuff, beautiful graphics, good music, nice VOS, neat puzzles but it can't hold a candle to NeverTales, which is the best game I've ever played. But don't get me wrong, please do buy it; there are lots of things to do and some of the puzzles are tricky. ERS is one of the best developers out there. I would recommend this game. I rate this game a 3 1/2 stars.

No need for me to elaborate, all the other reviewers have given their expert opinions and explanations. All I can write is that this is by far the best game I have ever played--no holds barred!! Outstanding! Artwork, music, singing (yes) and storyline, the whole works, you can't go wrong on this one and I'm halfway through the collector's edition. I'd like to see more games like this one. Kudos to the developers and thanks BigFish for featuring this gem of a game! Excellent! Don't less this one slip away from you!
