Based on the first 20 levels. I am playing "Normal" which gives you a limited number of moves. At the beginning this game seems rather easy as all the power ups are on the board. As explained by others, 4 match gives you bombs; five a rocket and six lightening. After level 15 the game becomes more involved and you need to think about how many moves you have and how many "guests". I happen to like Roka games and highly recommend this one.
I have played all these games and this one has some new features -- fighting the Zombies -- you have to be quick or you lose. The solitaire is up/down as before and seems a little easier as there are more helpers in the actual level. There is also a puzzle which I enjoyed -- reform the picture with clear instructions -- going to play again and chose the riddle or question.
Standard good solid game with nice graphics. There are varied hidden objects and mini-puzzles. There is a lot of back and forth but you can hit the hint button and be transported.
If you like a lot of mini-puzzles this game is for you. They are varied and I thought fairly easy to understand. As an archaeologist you have a tool kit with a hatchet, brush and book to decipher the symbols that appear quite often. There are hidden objects to find, but the main emphasis is on the story and the puzzles.
The graphics were excellent. I enjoyed the mini-puzzles (some were rather hard) and, of course the hidden objects had good variety. I would have given it 5 stars but for all the back and forth, although the hint key does let you transport. I wish the developers would make the game in a more linear fashion. I did like the maze with the stone dog.
I disagree with some of the other reviewers. It was fun to use the Alchemy and develop potions to move the story along. The match 3 part of this did get tiresome, but it was only one part of the game. The hidden objects and mini-games were good. I thought the graphics were fine. It was also a long SE game with a "strategy guide" which went to the walk-throughs if you needed help.
I totally agree with all the other comments on this game -- it is fun from beginning to end. I would add that I really liked the variety of mini-games (some very familiar but enjoyable) and the hidden objects where you find an item use it to find another one, etc.
I agree that the graphics are excellent, the hidden objects are pretty standard and the puzzles are fine. However, although I have played all in this series, I am getting a little tired of Dad. I think it is time for him to go. Also, I thought the game ended abruptly.
I actually beta tested this game and wasn't too keen on it, BUT I had a free coupon so I tried the SE version. Well, it was totally worth it! This is a long game with 28 locations that you frequently go back to. You have all the standard things -- note book, map and hint key. There are four types of play -- I usually choose Custom; the hidden objects are good but you have more mini-games, some of which are quite challenging.
Played all Claws and Feathers and this one is a real challenge. Starts out easy but the hard ones are coming. It is fun to be able to do them over and over to get the gold.
