Just finish the full game.
I normally love Elephant games and own many of them, but this one, although I did buy it, was disappointing. Were it not for the hint button, I would have never found my way around. Thank goodness it recharges fast. The fun for me sitting there trying to figure our where to go, what to do next and having to rely on the hint just ruined it for me. When I did figure out where I was suppose to go on my own, it was like I had won the Olympics.
As usual the visuals and sound were great. Good clear screens and the music and effects added to the game. The HOG scenes are interactive and again, you have to remember what you needed later on and where that particular HOG scene happened to be.
I scored the level of challenge as excellent. It is, if you have a better memory and imagination than me. Getting around was seriously difficult even with the map. The map does nothing but tell you where you are and transport you if you know where you need to be. No other assistance from it at all.
The story was pretty good. A twist that I haven't seen in any of the games I have played. As I was pounding around the other world, I had a totally different ending in mind and was rather surprised when I finally got there.
I would recommend this game, only if you are satisfied with punching the hint or have a tremendous memory. I guess mine must be gone.
I recommend this game!

I wasn't going to write a review on this, but I purchased it because of the great reviews it got. I didn't get very far in the Demo, so I wanted to give a review that perhaps wasn't so special.
I don't regret buying it but it changed from a really good game to one I couldn't wait to end. So far as time, you do get your money's worth.
The fun factor just wasn't there for me. It got so bothersome that I got frustrated with the mini games especially. I do like the morphing hidden objects though. Toward the end the story took a deep left turn to fairy tale land. That is what turned me off. You have a map, but it isn't the best in the world. I would click on a location and ther4 would be nothing to do and the hint button would take me where something needed to be done.
The sound was fine. Some of the voice overs were a bit on obnoxious side, but all in all the visuals were great. Hidden objects were well drawn and the music was good also.
There is a level of challenge which should be of interest to everyone. The morphing objects in the HOS were really fun and challenging and the mini games were a bit on the hard side. I did use the skip quit often.
Storyline skipped around and I either missed something or they left our part of the story at the beginning. I am going to play it again.
If you like longer than normal games and some difficulty getting around, you are going to love this game. I do recommend it.
I recommend this game!

I just finished playing the game, and I'm not sorry I got it, but am just a bit disappointed in the story itself.
It was fun, and although it isn't a long game, toward the end I was ready for it to finish. I liked the Hidden Objects and mini games. The voice overs were good, the movies fine. You have a journal which I didn't use very often. I did a lot of running all over and back again. A map would have been terrific, but I make it without too much trouble. Hint is kind of helpful and does charge quickly.
The graphics are really good and although the whole game seems to be a cartoon, it is well done. The sound is good, and the music not irritating. It went well with the story.
Although some have said the hidden objects were too easy, I have to disagree and say that they presented a challenge to me. The association games were difficult at times as were the hidden objects. What I found rather easy were the mini games. So with the different hidden object games and just getting around, I found this game quite challenging.
The story line was a bit off.. It did have a beginning and an ending, but somewhere in the middle I did get lost. So if you find yourself wondering why you are someplace or doing something think nothing about it. That was just their way of presenting the story.
All in all this was a decent game and I did buy it. So I would be a fool not to recommend it which I do.
I recommend this game!

I just finished playing the game after purchasing it. I honestly don't know why did, but I played the demo, let it be for a few days, and decided to get it for some reason. I'm really glad I did. This is a sleeper and was a fantastic game. The fun factor was excellent. Many characters and things to do. It is just plain fun.
There is a map and a journal. The map I used like a bible, the journal not so much except to look up something. The map is interactive and will be your best friend for finding places needing things done and then getting there.
Although the graphics are a bit "cartoonish" instead of the realism which we have become accustom here of late, they are good graphics nonetheless. The sound is good, the music okay, but I did find the constant crying a bit much, but hey, it went along with the story. There are some voice overs which are well done and the reading is easy and you can sink yourself right into the story.
Do not let the cartoon like characters deceive you. This is a challenging game. The hidden objects scenes are sometimes down right hard and the mini games offer many challenges as well.
The story is good. It is a love story, but with intertwining characters that keep you interested and wondering what is going to happen next. It does have an ending which I love. Hate being left up in the air, but this one ends on a great note and allows one to finally relax after a hard night on the farm saving the souls of those who died long ago and your friends. Great line.
All in all great game and I highly recommend it.
I recommend this game!

I had the privilege of previewing this game some time ago. I bought it to see what changes they made and I am so glad I did. It was worth the price. They created the most exasperating, fun, confusing, exciting frustrating, wonderful love story I've seen in a long time.
Again, I'm not a big fan of CE games, so I waited for this one to come out. It is a hidden object game plain and simple. There is some adventure to it, but mostly hidden object scenes and mini games.
The graphics were really good. I know you are going to be busy looking for something in each scene, but take a few minutes as you go through the game and look at what the designers produced. It is worth your time. The sound, well, as pretty as the song is, I have to admit it did start getting on my nerves during the HOS, but even with that, the quality of the sound was really good.
The level of challenge in not necessarily doing the hidden objects or even the mini games. It is finding those blessed coins they spread in each scene. And of course you have to have them to proceed. One of the reviewers said they, "hid them well." That is an understatement. I spent a lot more time looking for coins than I did in the hidden objects, but that is what made it fun.
The story of a pirate and the, don't want to give it away, but it is a love story that is well told and woven into the past of two people. Good one even with an ending.
I think you will enjoy this game and I highly recommend it.
I recommend this game!

Just finished playing the whole CE game.
As I have said before, I'm not a big fan of CE games, but when this one was on sale, I jumped on it rather than waiting for the SE and am I glad I did. This is another excellent 1000 Doors game.
It was fun from the very beginning. Of course Kate was there and some of the regular characters which make the games so interesting. The hidden objects were fun to do. Not a lot of clutter and the mini games kept it interesting and fun.
The graphics were really good as always and the music, was exceptional, especially in the bonus chapter. It was unique to these kinds of games and was really a pleasure to listen.
The level of challenge is, well, not that challenging. The hidden objects are pretty easy and the mini games were rather simple for the most part. There is a journal and the interactive map which makes it a breeze. Now understand I played casual, so the harder could make the challenges much more interesting.
The story line was along with the other 1000 Doors games. It is interesting, but I must admit I did get a little confused in the bonus game. However, all in all it the story stayed together and I do believe it may even have left an opening for a sequel.
The designers did a great job on this game and highly recommend it.
I recommend this game!

This is after playing the full SE game.
One of the reviewers mentioned that this was really different from the other games from Blue Tea and they were correct, but that isn't always a bad thing. No this isn't the pretty pick out the goodies to assemble something to use, it is a rather dark and sinister game, but it was really good and fun to play.
You don't really have a journal, but you do have the objectives and a map. The map does not transport you and you must do all the running around yourself. That is the only reason I lowered the fun factor. You do a lot of running and trying to figure out what to do next. There are other helpers as you progress through the game.
Now for all you folks who love CE games because of the morphing objects and all that stuff. I forgot about the morphing collection until I hit one by mistake. So I survived without all that and did very well, thank you. Don't you forget to look for them and look like a fool like me.
The quality of the graphics and sound were Tea quality. No complaints there. The colors and backgrounds are very well done and since this is a sinister story the music fit right in. Not bad at all.
The challenge of this game is figuring out where in the world to go next. The map gives some help, but not like some games. The mini games are fun and I could even do them so you know they weren't hard or I wouldn't even mention them. There is some effort, but for the most part, they are my kind of games.
The story is excellent. It has a beginning a middle and an end. The story is consistent with the theme and allows you to get involved with the characters if you wish.
It is a great game. If you can get past the storyline being different than the other Blue Tea games I think you will enjoy it. I sure did and spent hours doing so. I highly recommend this game.
I recommend this game!

This is based on the completed demo.
From what I read about the game and the movie along with the reviews, I thought perhaps I had misjudged this game. However, I was wrong. I did not care for it. I am downloading another as I write this.
It just was not fun for me. I always watch everything from the beginning of the games, to make sure I know what is going on. It wasn't until the end of the demo I realized Alan had something to do with those stupid trees. I ran around until I found the map with seems like took forever. Then at least navigation was easier.
The graphics are good and the sounds were acceptable. The music was not irritating and the sound effects were right along with the story.
The hidden objects were not difficult and the mini games were relatively easy which I did like. I hate mini games anyway, so it is nice to have some I can do without getting frustrated.
The story is another thing. I could not figure out what in the world was going on. It just made no sense to me. Perhaps in the end it will all come together, and all will be revealed.
The map is good and the hint does refill fairly quickly. I used the hint quite often to get around.
I may end up buying this, because of the special if the one I just downloaded is a bore, just to see what the heck is going on. But then again, there are plenty of CEs to choose from.
I really don't recommend this game.

I was a bit reserved when I read some of the reviews, but I found this game very interesting and fun to play. I played the demo and bought the whole game so that has to be a pretty decent recommendation.
The graphics were very acceptable and the music and sound effects went with the story and were not annoying at all. The only problems I had was hearing the voice overs, and I could have fixed that I'm sure had I taken the time.
As I said, it was fun to play. It wasn't the push over I was led to believe. Sure the hidden object scenes were not hard and the mini games were doable without too much trouble, but they still offered a bit of a challenge to get through them. There is an inter active map which does help you get around, and the hint button is quick to recharge.
The story while a bit confusing at first, all came together in the end and there was an end to this one. I hate it when you are left dangling, but this has a very good endIing to the story.
All in all, I suppose I played 5 hours on the game and found it long enough to keep my interest.
I really enjoyed the game and I recommend it to you.

This is based on the full game, which I did enjoy, because I am a Castle fan. If you are not a Castle fan or one who desires hours upon hours of searching for objects and playing Mensa type mini games, ya ain't gonna like it. I love it.
The fun for me was, as I said, I am a Castle fan. The developers did a great job in capturing the nature of the TV show and having the blessing of ABC I'm sure didn't hurt. The fun wasn't so much in the game itself as in the nature of the characters on TV that they imitated so well. The banter, the seriousness, the fun of the chase is all here.
The visuals were really well done. The Hidden Object Scenes were very clear and accurate. That is a nice way of saying they were easy. The only thing I didn't care for was the music. It did get irritating after a while. I just wish they had used voice overs instead of the bubbles, but I suppose it could have been the costs involved, but it sure would have make the game a bit more enjoyable.
As I alluded, the game is easy. The HOS are simple and the minis even more so. For me to say minis were easy, they were easy. So the level of challenge was not the purpose I bought the game.
I bought the game for the storyline. It was well put together with a beginning, middle and an ending that was pretty predictable, but entertaining as well.
So, if you are a Castle fan, or if you are just looking for a way to pass a few hours, this is a great game and I recommend it.
I recommend this game!
