This game starts off great and doesn't let the 'player' down. A really good mix of HO scenes and puzzles - that are not too hard. The graphics are fantastic - when you think about what goes into putting one of these games together - WOW! The storyline is easy to follow - and your 'hint' button will help you out by highlighting active zones. What more could you ask for? I liked the music - it was appropriate for the story - and what a story - liked the 'twists'. You have a 'Task Journal' that tells you what you need to do - so basically this game is fun not mind boggling. I really enjoyed playing it and was sorry when it ended.
It starts off good - with the 'Theatre' scene. A nice mix of HO scenes and puzzles. The graphics are good, the puzzles are fun to do...with interesting little 'twists' thrown in that you don't see in a lot of your games. Thank you Vogat! Then you get to 'Venice'. I personally found this to be tedious. There was a LOT of running around, and you're not given much direction - you REALLY have to keep your eyes on your 'Task Journal' constantly to see what you should be doing with what, and even then sometimes it doesn't make sense. One thing I learned is that if you 'mess' up on a puzzle, leaving it and then returning to it - resets it. So you don't HAVE to use the 'skip' button. The ending for this 'Scene' came so quickly it didn't make sense and was disappointing. Then on to the 'Psych Ward' - this was a fun and quick scene with great graphics, a few good surprises #just for fun# and also a 'quick' exit. It's not a game that I would play a second time around.

I just finished the 'demo' and couldn't believe it when they said my time was up. That hour went by so fast. The game starts off great.....with a good relateable storyline and moves swiftly along. The graphics are crisp and the HO scenes aren't just your usual' hunt and find'. You get to use objects within objects, which is always fun. Also, on the plus side the 'hint' button will give you clues as to where you should go next. Always nice for us 'newbies'. I can hardly wait to resume playing it!
This game has it all.....good storyline, nice mix of HO scenes and puzzles...with the 'twist' of looking for 52 playing cards thrown in. The 2 downsides that I found with the game were: That one: there was no 'reset' on the puzzles. If you started off and then wanted to change your mind and start over, you couldn't. If you were stuck then you HAD to 'skip'. Which I hate to do. The second downside, for me anyway, is that I KNEW which room I had to go to - it was just a challenge sometimes to get there. It would have been nice if the 'hint' button could give some sort of direction. Aside from these 'minor' glitches, I played right through and what an ending! Great way to spend an afternoon.

I did not find this game 'enjoyable'. I felt more like an overworked, tired detective having to put in overtime to solve a case. There is a LOT of back and forth, so keep a notebook handy. It'll make it easier. The HOS are typical ERS, dark, small objects, well hidden, with strange names. But on the plus side, after a couple ...you can pick it up pretty quickly. BUT and I hope they're listening...I do wish they would find some new music to accompany these scenes. Some of the puzzles required little or no thought while others left me scratching my head - and then using the SKIP button. One thing to keep in mind is that an inventory item does not disappear if there is still a use for it! If you find yourself stuck somewhere - just try using what you have. 9 times out of 10 you'll come out right. You DON'T have to start the game over from the beginning. This game is definitely challenging - and if that's your idea of 'fun' then this is definitley for you. Get your pen and notebook out and follow the 'Black Cat'. There is a satisfaction when you finish!
I thoroughly enjoyed playing this game. The storyline was interesting. The HOS scenes were both fun and challenging. Once you got the 'hang' of the language used for the objects, I didn't have much of a problem finding them. I particularly liked the factor that the 'hint' button would help you out when you would get stuck on what do do next. And it recharges very quickly. Some of the puzzles were beyond my expertise, but the 'skip' button helped there. The graphics were crisp and clear on my laptop, so I really have no complaints. In fact, I purchased the 2 sequels - Reincarnations: Uncover the Past and Elixer of Immortality. Way to go Vogat!!!
