I really love the Hidden Expedition games. They are always interesting and entertaining and I learn new things from each game. The graphics are a beautiful rendition of the Amazon jungle. Liked the plot but it was a little easy to guess the villains.
Yes I guess it is a little short. Since I knew that I waited until it was on sale. But I have to say I don't mind short. Some games are so long I am tired of them at the end and do not want to play the extra chapter. So I have started waiting for the SE versions. This was an exception since there was a special deal.

I only just got around to playing this game and found to my surprise it was really wonderful. Enjoyed it immensely. The graphics are beautiful and rich. The story is a little different and the villain really lets you in for a surprise. It is not terribly difficult but difficult enough to be interesting. There are some different games and HO scenes. If there is a complaint it is the sound. The music back ground has some beautiful pieces in it that I enjoyed, esp the Celtic type but they tended to be over repeated. It is an SE game and much better than many CE games. Please consider taking a second look if you passed it over.

This was an enchanting game. It was rather simple and straightforward but the characters were likable and sometimes funny. Graphics were gorgeous. My only criticism is that the music at times was repetitive but that is subjective. I enjoyed playing it, even the HOPs which are not my favorite things. Looking forward to a followup.

There have been several new series lately and they are really a breath of fresh air. This is another one. Caught my attention from the beginning. The HO scenes are blessedly varied and some rather different. Visuals are good, sound great, voice overs very well done. I like the take on fairy tales brought up to date.
I have not had enough time to finish the trial but no matter. Since I am going to purchase it I would just as soon wait.

Dark Parables was one of the first series I discovered and enjoyed them greatly for a while. I think the last one I really enjoyed was Red Riding Hood and Her Sisters. It was great to finally come across this one.
Although the storyline might seem a little repetitive there are some twists in it (the "sisters" for instance) that make it much better. I purchased as soon as the preview ran out and really enjoyed the whole game. The music and voices were especially good. Graphics were beautiful. There was one puzzle that repeated a couple of times that I had to skip because I could never figure out what to do, so that takes points away for me. The game could use an interactive map there is so much back and forth. Maybe it just did not work on my computer but again the game lost points because of this.
Overall I think it is a good game and I do recommend it.

I happened on this game when it was listed somewhere or BFG from the past. Reviews were good so I purchased it. So glad I did. I really loved it. Enjoyed the whole game and the extra game. Frequently I skip the extras because I am tired of the storyline but this time I was glad to proceed. Loved the characters. Loved the changing of the pages. Loved finding the pages. Can't say enough good things about it. Would work for all ages. It is not terribly difficult. Some of the puzzles are just time consuming. I recommend this highly.

Like another reviewer I found when I started this game I thought it was ok but not sure if I would purchase. So glad I did. Once I started on the world travels I found it to be great fun and very informative. I have been to Malta and am in India now so I have not finished but I love it and would recommend it. Next time a start that immediately draws you in would be a good idea.

Don't quite understand the very bad reviews of this game. It was quite fun. I especially enjoyed the zoo episode. Many of the moves were not what you would expect based on other games so it took a little effort to figure things out. The ending was definitely a surprise.
I did not give it 5 stars because I thought some of the puzzles were a little strange and there was one that I could not ever activate. Thought I understood the directions but it would never operate.
The OZ characters did not play quite as large a role as I expected but were fun.

I had trouble getting started with this game and almost gave it up. But I kept getting the "scroll button" directions and finally plugged in my mouse. Like magic that right click and scroll opened up all the activity. After that it was addicting. Yes it is difficult but logical. You just have to keep working on everything until you find the solution. Thought I would never find the way out of some places. Not finished yet and I think it will get harder. It takes a lot of looking at items and thinking about what to do. I love the 3 D aspect. Voice overs are great. Wish there were more new games like this.

Can't say enough good things about this game. It is inventive, fun, difficult sometimes to the point of frustration and addicting. The graphics are super and imaginative. So far I have almost made it through one leg(?) of the game and am completely stymied for about the 10th time but I find if I walk away and come back at a different time I have that "Aha" moment and something works. Doubt if I can finish it without checking the walkthrough though. There are not enough games that have this level of fantasy and delight and I am glad to see this and see that there is another one. I must say though that you will probably love it or hate it so try before you buy.
