This game could've been great but......I'm not a fan of handholding but if there had been a map then 5 stars would follow from me (and I don't give 5 often!)
I recommend this game!

I total agree with everything that pennmom said ……….except for my 1 disappointment - the ending was SO abrupt and such a let down!
That said - I urge you all to try it - its good fun in my opinion!
Happy gaming all!

This series just keeps getting better and better! The devs find ways to up their game in every episode and I for one appreciate that SO much. Everything about this I enjoy - graphics, sound, storyline, well the whole deal. I don't often review but this just had to be! If you're wondering why I didn't give it 5 I very rarely do unless a game is perfect and when is the perfect game coming? My guess is never (hopefully cos when that happens gaming maybe dies!)
. Enjoy like you've never enjoyed before fellow gamers!
I recommend this game!

What a pleasant surprise!
I did not much care for the previous efforts in this series which I thought were overcomplicated and hence difficult to follow but this game reminded me of some of the great TM games of the past like Roads of Rome (which has also seen a recent return to glory)!
Clear instructions, obvious goals, good graphics, so I ended the demo with a smile on my face! It did not seem to be anywhere near the demo time but that was because I enjoyed myself so much!
The only thing that I didn't greatly love was the storyline but I'm quite sure many of you will like it and it's always such a personal opinion so don't let me put you off because of that.
At the very least I urge you to give it a try? Enjoy!
I recommend this game!

I won't bother writing about the storyline and mechanics etc. of the game - others have done that already!
Suffice to say that I spent 2 days getting to the end of the game and enjoyed every moment - this is a game I will return to in a year or so and will delight in and again the next year and so on!
I found the replenishment of hints particularly clever - search as if looking for a collectible and you are given a chocolate bar - devour that and you get more hints! It is said that chocolate increases your brain power so this made sense to me and caused a wry smile the first time I encountered it.
To those who didn't like the idea of dying a few times along the way I found this of very little inconvenience as you are only taken back a couple of steps and since you will have just travelled that route the way back takes almost no time at all. and I thought this a novel addition to the game-play.
A couple of the puzzles I found extremely hard to the point that I skipped and for that reason I would hesitate to recommend it to a novice, but I expect many of you will enjoy the game immensely, though every game has at least a few detractors and I'm quite sure this will be no exception!
Incidentally, the reason I did not give it 5 stars was because I very rarely do so, reasoning that a 5 star game would be at least near perfect and it is very unusual for me to come across a game that I can describe as that. Many times I have read reviews saying they would give a game say 4 and a half stars if they were able to so I think Big Fish would be wise to consider allowing overall ratings to either embrace the half-star concept or to allow 1-10 star ratings.
I do of course recommend you try the demo first but I truly think that once you get over the old-school style many of you will want to get to the end of this very very good game! Enjoy!!!

Well here it is - a game for all those who want something different! Very similar to games like Siberia, Facility 47, Green Moon except I rate it higher on almost every count! This is the first game in ages I have given 5 stars to even though I haven't actually finished it yet!
As others have said there is no hand-holding here - no hints, sparkles, map etc - you have to use your grey matter and yay! nothing illogical so far, the first game in a long while I can say that about!
Not seen a hint of a fairy, witch, demon or mythical beast of any sort so that's another plus for me.
I won't explain the controls as I found it was fun at the start figuring out how to use them but I can say you will probably not have seen much like these before and, once you've got the hang of it, it becomes real easy! I would advise though that you use every control option on absolutely everything you encounter or you run the risk of a very unsatisfying journey!
WARNING! If you love HOS's you will probably hate this game - there aren't any (well so far at least!) Also if you hate sci-fi games or games based in reality and present day then pass on this!
Please - I beg you to at least try the demo even though some will exit after about 1 minute - for many I think it will prove a refreshing treat!
My thanks to BFG for this one and to all gamers have a great day!

I rarely give 5 stars to any game and certainly not when I have only played the demo but here is the exception - Darkness and Flame - a fabulous game that improves on its predecessor in every department - and I really enjoyed that one too!
I was impressed immediately by the Options available such as whether or not I wanted a pointer on morphing objects and collectibles, and then straight into the action with clear graphics and good v/o's. The previous episode is briefly described so there is no need to look that one out before you play this game and I feel the characters have been nicely expanded here.
The HOS were not ridiculously difficult as some have been lately and the numerous puzzles were both easy and challenging so suitable for a wide range of players.
I will purchase this little gem later today and strongly urge you all to at least give the demo a try - I think many of you will like it!!!

Euchhhh!
Such horrible colours! On one puzzle the colour was such a pale pastel I couldn't even see if I had filled in any squares!!!
Although I only played the demo the puzzles were so simple I began to make mistakes because I was so bored and lost concentration - an absolute no-no for me - sorry BFG!

Hey guys, I've an idea! How about we take one of the great tragic romance stories and turn it into a game that lacks any logic or continuity and illustrate it with scenes containing glaring anachronisms?
Oh good idea fellow dev! Then we could pepper it with puzzles and HO scenes that are so easy that the players will think they're geniuses and will be distracted from the ridiculous storyline! That'd be fun wouldn't it?
Well.......... no, actually it would be a total travesty !!!
By the way - I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 only because it would have to be the worst game in the history of Big Fish to get 1 in the same way that I rarely give any game 5 stars!
I don't recommend this game.

I must've missed this one first time round, unusually for me!
I always read the reviews while downloading the demo and was a little dismayed to find all the disparaging remarks about bad translation, lousy hint button and clunky controls - I nearly got put off even bothering to play!
I'm really glad I did play though because either the dev has cleaned up all the problems that were there or maybe there was a bug in the original game that stopped it performing properly that has since been resolved - either way I suffered absolutely none of the problems that previous gamers had come across!
The HOS were great - for once I had to think about them and use logic instead of just glibly spotting items! A good approach in my book!
The mini-games were perhaps too easy for my taste but the jump-map worked very well as did the hint button.
The storyline was good though I thought the ending was a little bit of an anti-climax, but then you can't have everything!
The music was non-descript which is how I like it, and though I did find the sound effects quite loud to start with there was no problem with turning them down by using "Options" from the menu. I had no difficulty exiting the game, unlike some previous players have said they experienced.
I was, like many others, disappointed by the lack of voice-overs but, unlike others, did not suffer from bad translations so having to read the speeches did not overly spoil my enjoyment of the game.
Some folk have used the terms "weird" and "bizarre" in their descriptions of this game - I did not find it to be any stranger than many of the games on this site, in fact I found many of the unique qualities of this game made for a delightful and refreshing encounter!
This is never going to win Game of the Year but it is IMO not any where near as bad as some reviews would have us believe!
I don't often give a game 5 stars as it has to be phenomenally good for me to do so but I am happy to give this effort 4 stars and a recommendation. I write this review after buying the game and playing all the way through.
Obviously not everyone will like Weeping Skies but I urge you to at least try the demo because you may have a pleasant surprise!
I recommend this game!
