I really love playing the role of a H.E.L.P. agent and this edition is one of Eipix's best! This time agent your investigation is the ultimate quest to save Venice from being destroyed by a plot to flood the entire city. It all began Back in 1324 in Venice when Marco Polo entrusted his friend, Peter Tayal, with a special pearl just before he passed away. The pearl has since been securely kept with the Tayal family until today when the pearl was stolen! As a H.E.L.P. agent, travel to Fiji where the pearl was kept and hunt down this invaluable gift from the greedy Zambetti family! The Pearl of Discord delivers one of the most intriguing storylines in the franchise’s recent history. Not only is the long-term rivalry between Marco Polo and the Zambetti family fascinating, but the action-packed events also keep us on the edge of our seats. Despite starting the game in Fiji, The Pearl of Discord actually takes you around the world; from Japan to Venice. The environment is constantly changing, keeping the game fresh from beginning to end. The visuals in Hidden Expedition: The Pearl of Discord are Eipix’s best works in quite some time. The intricate artwork is mesmerizing, while the quality of the graphics is second to none. In addition, Eipix also delivers stunning animations and cut-scenes this time around. There were moments in the game when I just stopped to appreciated the beauty of this game. Compared to the exciting storyline and the amazing production, the gameplay is slightly disappointing. The Pearl of Discord is basically a cookie-cutter of most Eipix games; predictable development and somewhat easy tasks. This doesn't take away from the fact that the game is incredibly entertaining, and the solid puzzles as well as the creative hidden object scenes definitely add some value to the standard edition (SE) game. I didn't regret a single minute during the five hours of Hidden Expedition: The Pearl of Discord and it took me that long just to complete the game. If you upgrade to the Collectors Edition (CE) you will enjoy the bonus chapter just as much. The bonus content that comes with the Collector’s Edition is pretty awesome; a strategy guide, wallpapers, soundtracks, concept art, re-playable hidden object scenes, re-playable puzzles, a souvenir room, achievements, collectibles, and morphing objects. I can't believe this is the 14th game; all of which I have played in this series. Does it seem like I am an avid fan? (LOL) I truly am and I will continue to play an investigator in Hidden Expedition League of Protectors (H.E.L.P) for as long as developers continue this long running series. Cheers!
Check out each title in Eipix's ongoing popular series and play all of them!

Domini Games has launched a brand new series that could be the next big thing in casual gaming! Enchanted Kingdom: A Dark Seed Standard Edition is the first episode in the Enchanted Kingdom franchise and will by no means be the last; get in on the action now and be one of the first to enjoy the long run. If you are familiar with some of Domini Games’ other works, then you know what kind of quality to expect. If not, then this is a great place to start with this award-winning brand, worthy of Editor's Choice Award. Definitely a leader in the Hidden Object Puzzle Adventure gaming development world, this is for certain. This particular game has an above-average storyline… especially if you are into creepy diseases. There is an illness going around called Dark Seed and the inhabitants of the otherwise peaceful and lovely Tar Empire are about to whirl off into chaos and destruction as this disease ravishes the land. You will be playing the role of the only person out there who is immune to the disease. But, with great power comes great responsibility. Since you are the only one that can investigate the sickness, you have a great moral obligation to figure out what is going on here… but there is more to fear than just a couple of germs. Dark forces await you and will destroy you even with your immunity if you don’t watch your step. Can you find a cure before you (and everyone else!) are killed? You will have to play this gem in it's entirety to find out. The Collector’s Edition is especially wonderful if you choose to upgrade. This special little edition comes with some delicacies in the bonus chapter in which you will be able to help Emirus get his magical abilities back. You will meet Mr. Emirus in the game play – he is a real quirky gentleman. The characters in this game are really delightful. There are morphing artifacts that you can pluck up along the way and busts of famous doctors to collect as you go. You will have a neat garden into which you can place the gems that you snatch up for display. Highly recommend either editions for all casual gamers. Cheers!

Your music tutor, maestro Benedetti has just made a victorious return from a competition. As you celebrate his success over a glass of wine, he drops dead. Soon you are arrested for his murder! After a daring prison break, you must follow the clues and search for the real killer. It quickly turns out that your maestro was only the first victim of a devious plan of revenge! Your basic mission is to save other composers and catch the person responsible for the killing spree on the music scene in Florence. Reviews are subjective, I thought the storyline in Danse Macabre: Florentine Elegy could not be more predictable. Not only has the plot been done a hundred times before, it does not even feel like Eipix is trying to make this one any more interesting. The plot twists don’t even feel like twists since we see them coming all along, and the characters are so thinly-developed they are painful to interact with. The gameplay is not much better either. The adventure portion of the game is extremely straightforward; every move feels familiar and every task feels tedious. Thankfully, the puzzles and the hidden object scenes are way more entertaining. They might not be extraordinarily innovative, but they are certainly very well-designed and offer a fair level of entertainment. Perhaps, the only thing that saves Danse Macabre: Florentine Elegy from being unbearably boring is the production. The elegant artwork, the intricate details, and the sophisticated color palette help make this game such an eye-candy. And despite the slight fuzziness (noticeable in many recent releases), the cut-scenes are actually really good as well. As a music-themed game, Florentine Elegy delivers in the audio department. The soundtracks are soothing and pleasing to the ears, while the voice-acting is solid and professionally recorded. The main game of Danse Macabre: Florentine Elegy takes around three and a half hours to complete, which is quite decent given its lack of challenge. I really have enjoyed previous editions of this series. I remain hopeful that the next edition will be much more interesting with a stronger emphasis on production values. Cheers!
I don't recommend this game.

You recently received a letter saying that your kidnapped brother is still alive and well and has been residing at the Artem family estate all these years. Will you be able to reunite with your long-lost brother or will fate to play another trick on you? The developers at Deep Shadow games with their obscure and creative minds have created a TRUE HORROR adventure in the spirit of Hitchcock's PSYCO! This is one terrifying and twisted story that you have to play entirely through to it's shocking conclusion in order to appreciate! You play the character Amy Leroy and the horror begins when you arrive at the Artem Estate, home to renowned sculptor Miss Joanne Artem and her devious butler Mr. Ramsay. While trapped in the estate looking for your missing brother you discover some deeply disturbing events and a letter written by the last victim begging for her husband Harry to come and rescue her from a serial killer on the estate. The year is 1925; you learn that from discovering a diary belonging to Joanne Artem where 15 years earlier a boy was kidnapped (presumably by Joanne) and the police have their suspicions when lab tests indicate conclusively that Artem cannot bear children. The story and gameplay just gets more and more intense as you proceed. So if you are easily frightened, you may want to turn back before playing further because it only gets more grizzly and bizarre. I decided to pursue this perplexing adventure, taking on Ramsay the butler who has booby trapped the entire estate and find ADAM. This gem is for the hardcore horror fans, not the faint-hearted. So if you enjoy really THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX and difficult puzzles and gameplay then this is your game! If you decide to upgrade to the CE version the extra bonus game is also relevant to the main story. In the bonus adventure experience "CONFESSIONS OF A RESTLESS MIND" and join Dr. Gibbs in the asylum where the serial killer is confined. It was easy to give this unique horror game 5 stars. Cheers!

Your search for the Logan artifact has led you to Scotland, home of the Logan’s Castle of Scotland, infamous for the Logan Family Massacre. Your objective is to uncover the artifact and escape the premises before the evil entities of the Logan’s Castle gets to you. I played the game in its entirety and reached the conclusion that "other developers" in the Horror Genre do a much better job with THEIR games than Eipix has with this series. Despite several attempts, none of the Phantasmat sequels are able to truly capture the uniqueness of the original Phantasmat game. This latest sequel, Mournful Loch, definitely has a great setting, which gives off a sense of abandonment just as in the original game. However, the original also excelled in storytelling, something that Mournful Loch fails at. There is very little story development going on in the game. Yes, I know that we are supposed to find an artifact hidden in a creepy castle, but why? The plot develops at such a slow pace that it is easy to lose interest before an important plot-point is revealed. The weird stranger (dubbed Boat Man by some) that accompanies you and all the random hallucinations also don’t make the story much more interesting. The visuals in Phantasmat: Mournful Loch are gloomy and haunting, which are appropriate for the horror theme of the game but I have seen better horror based HOPA'S from other developers! The game could benefit from some more variety regarding its color palette, because all of the scenes sort of blend together after a while. Audio wise, there is nothing to complain about – the voice-acting is excellent and the soundtracks are fittingly creepy. At the end of the day, Phantasmat: Mournful Loch is still an Eipix game, which means a predictable gameplay is to be expected. The game adopts the typical HOPA template, with a slightly heavier emphasis on backtracking. The hidden object scenes are well-designed and can be switched with Match 3 games. Further, the puzzles are a nice mix of simpler ones and more complex ones, all are nicely tied to the theme of the game. The main game of Phantasmat: Mournful Loch is approximately four hours long, while the bonus chapter in comes in short at 35 minutes. The Collector’s Edition meets the industry standard, this includes a strategy guide, wallpapers, concept art, soundtracks, videos, re-playable hidden object scenes, re-playable puzzles, morphing objects, achievements, collectibles, and a souvenir room. Eipix won me with their best attempt at HORROR HOPA'S when they took on RAVENHEARTS UNLOCKED and KEY TO RAVENHEARST. DEMO THIS EDITION BEFORE PURCHASE. YOU MAY WANT TO WAIT FOR THE SE VERSION AND USE A FREE GAME COUPON. Here are the other titles in order if you are a fan and want to play each of them.
•Phantasmat
•Phantasmat: Crucible Peak
•Phantasmat: The Endless Night

I never tire of playing the role of Emma Roberts and in this episode she really get's herself in quite the conundrum. Following up on a missing persons investigation, Emma finds herself chasing after Linda Swan and her brother Tim. In addition, people are being kidnapped and it's up to Emma and her phenomenal investigative journalism skills to get to the bottom of this fantastic suspense thriller. The chase ultimately takes you to a strange location known as "Drammond Island" as you follow clues left by Linda and Tim. One of the clues you stumble upon is a diary left by a woman named Clarissa Marlow. In the diary Clarissa mentions renowned psychotherapist Richard Diamond who apparently owns Drammond Island. Clarissa stands to inherit an eerie attraction called "The Abandoned House" on Drammond Island from Richard Diamond though she never writes what her relation is to him from the Will. She does discuss in her diary the terms of the Will. Clarissa's gain of the property is contingent on creating a "Reality Quest" per Richard's Will. When Emma arrives at the Island she/you encounter a huge wooden sign which reads: Welcome to "The Abandoned House" reality quest! Your task is to explore the house and it's surrounding areas to find hidden treasure. The person who finds the treasure can KEEP IT. You have 6 HOURS to complete your mission. Good Luck!
This is where the adventure really began to scare me. You soon learn that Guests who participate in "explore Abandoned House Quest" must sign a non-disclosure agreement from Quest management. YIKES!!! You/Emma proceed into the property only to find CAPSULES containing captured/kidnapped people in the basement and a note from Clarissa. In the note Clarissa states that if she notifies anyone about what goes on in "Abandoned House" they will KILL HER!!! Totally freaked out at the delirious insanity of what You/Emma encounter; you now understand that these poor kidnapped people are undergoing an unthinkable process of having the souls collected and harvested. This is going to be one heck of an issue once You/Emma complete this fantastic adventure and submits it to the magazine! Truly an amazing adventure you won't forget anytime soon. CE bling covered in other reviews so no need to revisit. Give this edition a chance and see for yourself why I choose the 4.5/5 star rating. Cheers!

I really love playing the role of a H.E.L.P. agent and this edition is one of Eipix's best! Unusual murders may seem difficult to solve, but they usually contain a lot more clues than a body that simply disappears without a trace. Naturally, people rarely commit intricate murders that take forever to set up and plan, unless they are in a movie or some kind of video game. Obviously, such crimes are much more exciting to investigate when you play the role of a gifted detective. The Unseen Fears: Body Thief is a hidden object adventure game in which you play the role of a detective who tackles a weird case regarding a string of unusual murders. Your goal is to discover the necessary clues in order to pinpoint a suspect, but given the fact that you possess a few unique abilities as well, the whole adventure turns into quite the thrilling pursuit. Thrilling is an understatement in this 5+ adventure. The plot starts with a victim who was apparently skinned alive using fire, yet all of her clothes are intact in spite of the damage. Your goal is to collect the clues around the murder scene and present them to the detective in charge, and the story gets even more intriguing later on. After being saved from near drowning during your childhood by magical deity, you are given a seal. A special power which gives you the ability to see the "unseen". This proves very helpful as you progress thru this fantastic murder mystery. As for the graphics, they are about as detailed as they can get in the genre, and it’s great to see that the artists managed to create such a suspenseful atmosphere using nothing but static artwork. It’s quite a rush to explore some of the scenes, especially thanks to the neat sound effects and great soundtrack. All in all, The Unseen Fears: Body Thief is a very engaging puzzle game, and quite the challenging hidden object game at the same time. Hence, you can have a lot of fun with it if you enjoy a REALLY good mystery. I loved every minute of this unique game and I love the genre.
