Good introduction, good graphic color and nice detail in scenery. However, characters are wooden but with good voice overs. Scratching my head as to inventory items but as usual eventually there is a home for them. As a detective you take pictures, multiple pictures, way too many pictures and then put them all together to end up with a conclusion that most players will have figured out long before they are compiled. Hidden Object Games are dated. Mini Games are old and boring and time consuming. Dialogue will put you to sleep! I didn’t finish the trial because I found the game boring and tedious and didn’t find anything new or interesting to maintain my interest. Again a sad commentary for new games that suffer players with old content and little new, innovative or intriguing content to pull us in and make us want to see what is around the next corner. Give it a trial run and see what you think!
Graphics and characters are well done, but the feel of the game was old and tired. I didn’t finish the trial because I found it an effort to continue as long as I did. Nothing new in Hidden Object Games and Mini Games are old, tired games that lacked anything new or interesting in my opinion. Also there are too many of them for time fillers. I find it sad that a number of recent offerings lack new, innovative or updated content and are not worth my time or effort. Occasionally I find a diamond but more often a lump of coal. To be fair, give it a trial run.
Lots of back and forth! Time Travel! Some development was well done, some not so great. Make a potion. Set time travel dials. Don't do something back there because it will change here. Sigh! Mini Games-old rotating, etc. you know those that are more annoying than fun.The experience was more about traveling back and forth, collecting, making a potion, putting a sword back together, all those old experiences that are overdone and boring. Only time the game offered anything intriguing was at the final scene in the trial. Even that won't encourage me to purchase this one. To be fair, give it a trial run to see what you think.
This one pulled me in and kept me interested throughout. I like the dog, but as a cat person, would like a cat introduced at sometime. The story was interesting and different and made for an adventure with a few great twists and turns. Well developed characters and excellent voice overs, great graphic design in both decor and scenery. After the trial, I purchased this game because I enjoy well developed and thought out games with attention to moving forward and making the experience both visually enjoyable as well as with a sense of challenge. Edge of Reality came through again!
This one pulled me in and kept my attention, not an easy thing to do with so many recent poor offerings. The graphics are excellent with the option to adjust level (gamma). The characters are attractive and well-crafted with very good voice overs. Hidden Object games are more challenging in this game and Mini Games are still time consuming but well crafted. I enjoyed the combination of detectives and how they switched between characters. Oh my goodness! Richard again! Will someone please put him to rest! Since he was the only thing I didn't like in this trial, I went ahead and purchased the game. I'm looking forward to enjoying this well-crafted and developed game that moves forward without a lot of fill in games! Well worth the time spent testing it!
Lack of consistency of light and dark within same scene. Details were way overdone making some objects just too busy and even a bit overwhelming, and I'm usually one to complain about lack of detail. Character voices seemed a bit too familiar as well. Mini game-old slider, sigh! I didn't finish the trial because it just didn't pull me into anything new or interesting. To be fair, I suggest you give it a trial run to see what you think.
First read the lowest ratings! Purchased this because I had an extra credit and it had a 4 star rating and I was in a hurry. Should have done a trial run on it. I lasted less than 10 minutes playing the poorly crafted game and now writing a review. The characters are terrible, wooden and with horrid animation and accents. The music is annoying and repetitious. The hint directs you to the map. It's just outdated, boring and it's going directly to uninstall because I'm not going to waste my time on a game that I don't even know how it made it into Big Fish offering or how it got a 4 star rating? Test run it before you purchase!
I had to force myself to continue to the end of the trial. The introduction was the best thing about the entire trial. I dislike purple and bright colored graphics as well as a story with cluttered scenes that jumps all over the place. Rarely say bored, but in this case I really didn't want to experience another bizarre scene or see more garish colors along with a rather childish approach to scenes and concept. Wasn't sure if this was supposed to be a Halloween story or what! Picture book back story was simple and boring...green acres to mansion! Hidden objects games were so easy to the point of why bother. Mini games were well crafted but nothing new and rather boring and predictable. I won't purchase this one because I really don't care what happens to any of the characters and that's a very sad commentary. Give it a trial run to see if you enjoy the content.
Nothing new. Graphics are good. Abundant Mini Games. Annoying picture story-book Hidden Object Games. Also, regular word list Hidden Object Game that offers a quantity of objects and good visibility. Both HOG and Mini Games are well designed but nothing exciting. Characters are okay and nicely crafted but not much action or animation. Fun looking critters and a variety of scenery. Like many said…been here before. I really don't want to face another healing potion journey of finding multiple items to make potions, so over utilized and lazy development. Sadly many games are just change ups of over used old game themes which are a big "slap in the face" to players who have asked for more innovation and new direction in these games. Some might like this game to kill time, but that isn't why I play. I suggest you give it a trial run to form your own opinion.
Overall: Travel back in time to regain a dangerous artifact. Just think how changing time might create havoc in the future. The story concept was interesting enough and locales and scenes are well developed. The developers produced excellent graphics with very good character development and mature voice overs throughout.
However, the constant loading for the next screen to appear disrupts the game flow and is annoying. Also, there was too much back and forth for my taste.
The Mini Games are ordinary with nothing new, same old shuffle and turn and find a way from one end to another.
Hidden Objects Games are nicely crafted but rather cluttered, some dark corners, and mostly connect items. They are somewhat frustrating at times. I usually enjoy these games, but found a couple disappointing.
I won’t purchase this game based on the loading issue, but I will recommend it for all the other good qualities.
Graphics: Excellent Music Sound: Good Characters: Very Good Voice Overs: Excellent Hidden Object Games: Good Mini Games: Time consuming, nothing new (not a fan) skipped
