This and Sacra Terra Nova Angelic Night are still some of my top favorite hidden object adventure games even after the hundreds I've played, most newer 2014-2016 This game was so well done and so much fun. I use to own this game on a compilation of games disc but I gave it away so I repurchased it here on Big Fish and I'm so glad I did. It's just as fun now as it was in 2012! I loved that it had a story and great graphics and games. No it doesn't have a custom mode nor does the hint fill in 5 or 10 seconds but it's what made me actually sit and figure out all the puzzles, which I did! I definitely recommend this game. I'm off to play it again!
I recommend this game!

I really enjoyed this game. It was one of the first hidden object games I played. It was in a box set Mystery Masters: Legends of Terror - 20 Pack along with it's other's in the series. We played in 2014/2015 and both my husband and I enjoyed this game and the others in the series. Put up against some of the newer release of 2015 no the graphics are not as good, there isn't a custom mode, no voice overs, hint takes a lot longer to fill up but that's what made the games much more challenging and fun! I may just purchase this game from big fish when I finish all the other newer games I just purchased. I liked one in this series better then the others but can't remember which one so I may just demo all the vampire saga games. I love vampire stories, movies, TV and games sadly nothing new and exciting out right now so the old game will have to suffice. Actually, I have to say some of the newer games with the bright graphics and in and out of the camera give me a headache it's nice to go back and play a simpler, darker game. I would recommend you at least try this game. I personally liked it a lot!

This was one of the first hidden object adventure games that my husband and I played. We both loved it! I know it's an older game but it played perfectly on our newer computers. I would definitely recommend this game and I would definitely play it again!

I thoroughly enjoyed this lovely romantic hidden object game. It was beautifully illustrated, the games were fun and relatively easy, which is something I enjoy when I just want to relax. The scenery was gorgeous without being overly fantasy looking, everything looked normal but very pretty which is something I really like. I hate when things are ugly, broken down covered with bugs or really golden, or overwhelmingly pink and purple. Gorgeous reality is number one with me!
I really enjoyed playing both the young lady and the young mans parts. I was so lovely and handsome lol
The game flowed in a nice logical manner, which is very important to me. The skip button recharges lightning fast which is also fantastic. I will definitely play this game over again which is something a very rarely do. I highly recommend this to the ladies, gentleman you may want to demo it first.
I recommend this game!

There is quite a nice, romantic story here - it starts out with a lot of potential but the excitement slowly fades away. The plot in this game develops very slowly, and never gets very exciting.
This game was somewhat disjointed, & illogical to me, and I had to use the hints way to often, there was no other way to know what to do otherwise.
To much back and forth, back and forth plus the game allowed you to start stuff then not let you finish, you had to wander around for a while doing other things before you came back to finish things up. I was frustrated most of the game. The story was nice, the graphics were very well done, and the music was nice., I also liked the ending. The game play was the problem. I would recommend you try the demo and see if you like it, I didn't! Actually if you want to play a great game Play the other game in this series Spirits of Mystery: Song of the Phoenix that is an awesome game!
I don't recommend this game.

I really enjoyed this game so much when I first demoed it. It just sucked me in to the story more then any other game had in a long time! I really wanted to purchase it on the spot but couldn't afford the CE Price, well today BF had a great deal on CE's so I purchased it. I have to say I had a blast playing this game! Great to get the back story on our favorite troll we love to hate! It was on the dark, spooky side but lots of fun especially the twist I didn't see coming. The only negative is the main game is kind of short, I took off a point for the CE edition because of how expensive it is. I give this SE edition the full 5 points the game actually deserves. If you love the Haunted Legends series as I do then you really must get this game. You'll Love it!
I recommend this game!

I really enjoyed playing this game!
New York Mysteries: High Voltage has one of the best detective storylines I've seen in a game in quite some time. The story was intriguing and captivating and kept me on the edge of my seat right from the beginning to the end. The fantastic plot is accompanied by some amazing cutscenes, flawless character animations and solid voice-overs. I also liked that I played as the same character as the other game. Felt like we were old friends!
The production of New York Mysteries: High Voltage is also praiseworthy. The game takes place in the famous New York City and most of the locations in the game are real-life locations. Thus, the game feels pretty real - which is a breath of fresh air considering the amount of all fantasy or creepy ugly scary games we have been getting lately. The graphics are also sharp and clean, while the soundtracks are fitting for the theme.
I highly recommend this game!

This is not the type of game I normally play but I really enjoyed playing it. The music and Christmas-y decorations put me in the Christmas mood! I really needed something to put me in the Christmas mood since it had been so darn hot for weeks leading up to Christmas. This did the trick. The game was fun, relaxing with lovely Christmas tunes. Would have liksd a few more tunes but other then that I really enjoyed it. I will play again next year. I recommend this game.

I love this game, it's great for us as we age to keep the neurons pumping, to improve our memories. This helps with that!
. The concept of Bookworm is simple. One needs to make words by linking adjacent letter tiles. The more complex the word and more difficult the letter, (z, x, q, like Scrabble), the higher the score. Short, or low scoring words, cause fires to start with letters at the top of the PC screen, the library wall. If a word is not formed from the burning tile letters before they reach the bottom, then the game explodes - kaput! The higher your score, the more burning tiles appear. Thus the level of difficulty increases. Also, the longer one plays a particular game, thus using up a variety of tiles, it becomes more difficult to find either vowels or consonants. Scoring then becomes even more difficult.
There is a leisurely paced Classic Game, and no beat the clock option. I personally prefer this one. It gives one time to really think and look for many-lettered words. Then there's the Action Game, where you have to beat both the clock and the burning tiles. Since one is more inclined to go for short words when the clock is ticking, there are more burning tiles here. It really gets the adrenaline going! There is also a Save Game option which is terrific. Once I begin to score in the high numbers, which can take a while, I get tired, and am able to save the game without losing points, and can come back to it another time. The players' high scores are saved in the Hall of Fame, so it is easy to compete against yourself or another player.
The book worm, Lex, (from lexicon), is a funny and bizarre creature who makes weird noises, supposedly to encourage the player to feed his endless appetite for words. When a particularly good word is formed, he belches! I enjoyed this feature for all of five minutes, and then turned down the sound. However, I think kids would love this vocabulary tapeworm. And Bookworm is perfect for children and adults alike. It is fun and educational and I highly recommend it.
I recommend this game!

I liked this game a lot. I would probably give it a 4 but I'm giving it a 5 to make up for all the undeserved low ratings. It's not as good as Light Advent, Princess of Ice or a Ravenhearst game and granted the storyline has been done before, but it's still a pretty darn good game!. I like that it's a bit creepy but everything isn't broken down, ugly, infested with bugs etc. Everything looks normal sometime even pretty which I like. If I'm going to immerse myself in a game I don't want to be in a nasty ugly negative space!.
The game's graphics are pretty good with a lot of blues, pinks and purples. The music adds to the creepiness and the voice overs are in sync with the lips.
Since you are fighting the shadows of a strange origin, you are going to have to use the well known principle - light casts out darkness. So, you are using a special lantern to fight the shadows.
The hidden object scenes come in all different kinds. Quite a lot of searches to do. Then there are mini games that you play every once in a while (even to get the lantern itself). The puzzles vary in their difficulty level, but they are mostly easy, which I like because I play to relax not give myself a migraine. All and all I enjoyed my time playing this game and It's a game I would play again. I highly recommend this game.
I recommend this game!
