I tried every workaround, but was unable to get this game to even load (that's why the last review was in 2017). I suggest instead buying the Zombie Solitaire 2 games (there are several), which work perfectly fine.
Edgar Allen Poe summons you to walk through a few of his stories (Masque of the Red Death, The Tell-tale Heart, Pit and the Pendulum) and find the spark that inspires him to write a better ending for his death!
I enjoy any Edgar Allen Poe themed games (see Dark Tales) and this one was unique. The puzzles were fun yet simple and I enjoyed walking through each story.
Put together a series of puzzles and gradually unfold a story!
As much as I enjoyed this game, there were two reasons I could only give it three stars. Number one, these were clearly AI renderings. I'm not against AI art, but if you're going to use it and expect people to pay for it, you should correct the mistakes (look at the small pumpkins in the background). But most importantly, as another reviewer said, you couldn't save your game, and if you even tried, it literally threw you out of the game. Once you tried saving a puzzle, you would never again be able to go back to it. So...DON'T TRY TO SAVE YOUR PUZZLES!
That being said, it was still fun. You can do mosaics or puzzles, with multiple shapes and numbers, and the story was interesting.
It's nearly Dia De Los Muertos! Decorate the cemetery to welcome the dead. A great game to play to welcome in the spooky season!
This is how I wish ALL solitaire games were like. Beautiful graphics, fun animation, and decorating. Some people complained that every second card was guaranteed, but given every single game has a secondary challenge (which are sometimes difficult), you'll need all the help you can get. Save those diamonds for Joker cards, cannon blasts and color switches. I was able to complete the cemetery and earn all the trophies.
In this story, for the 2nd time, your sister has invited you to a Halloween celebration that ends in disaster. You'll have to save her (again) and meet some monstrous friends along the way!
Like the other Gloomy Tales, you have options as to how you answer questions, and this one had three different endings depending on how you answered them. I always go for the largest number of stars for the happiest endings.
I couldn't quite give this one 5-stars though because the game instructions were often confusing. And while I like the option of going back and forth between match-3 and hidden object, I do wish they wouldn't make the exact same match-3 games every single time.
Despite its flaws, it's a solid game that really invigorates the Halloween spirit!
I'm one of those odd players who just plays Clutter for the Box Quotes, and now Joe has added Box Lists! These games have something for everyone, but this is why I personally love them. Looking forward to the next one!
Joe brought back the best feature of the Clutter series...Box Quotes!
Having faithfully played all the Clutter games to date, I will tell you the only reason I look forward to them is for the Box Quotes. That's why I was sorely disappointed in the last game...which had none! But this time Joe brought us 100 to play!! Thank you, Joe!!!
Like many reviewers, I've been playing the clutter games from day one, but this one didn't land with me. If you're really only in it for the "clutter", it's not a bad game. You can adjust the timers and sound within the game and just press the "next" arrow to move from game to game. LOTS of clutter games, and I did enjoy the addition of the chocolates, but as I've stated in every review, I'm really only here for the box quotes. This is the first of the long series that had zero box quotes!!
I'm not giving up on you, Joe...just bring back my box quotes!!
I decided to play this around Christmas time because I was told it was holiday-themed. Actually, only the first section of the map appears to be for Christmas (just the first 13 puzzles).
I was able to get pass the Christmas section, but just barely. As much as I enjoy pipe-connecting puzzles, this one was frustrating because the blank squares keep continually filling up with pieces until there is no room left.
An author finds himself catapulted into his own Christmas story one night! Can his characters help him regain his holiday cheer?
Okay, I understand the complaints. This one was different. There was no map, the English wasn't the best, and the items they put together were odd. For example, you cut a hunk of cheese with a seashell, and then sliced it up with guitar strings!
That being said...I liked it! I liked it because it was unusual and we actually had to use our heads for once. People are always complaining these games have become boring and predictable, but the minute we get a challenge, they still complain! Just use the hint and skip buttons liberally and you'll be able to complete the story. The artwork alone made it worth it!
