In this game, Sinbad has to help his love find the hidden gems for her crown to release her body from its wooden form.
I disagree with most of the reviewers. This game is nearly 15 years old, and I had more fun playing it than most of the modern games. The items were small, but the hints filled up fairly quickly and I was happy to have the sparkles to help me along the way. My favorite part? Collecting bugs and putting them in jars! I found all but one, of course...
You're a wedding photographer who gets a whole lot more than you bargained for when a murder takes place at a creepy house!
I enjoyed this game! An interesting story, lots of fun puzzles, and a bit of a plot twist at the end. Alas, I could only give it four stars because a few of the puzzles had no hints or skips and I had to go digging online for the answers. Also, the ending was a bit cryptic. Still, I was glad I played it!
Anna's past comes back to haunt her in this story of making a deal with the devil.
This game started out interesting enough. Anna slowly discovers clues about what happened in her childhood and along the way, you collect crosses for hints (that are tough to see) and at some point, without warning, you're playing as a sheriff and you must collect badges instead.
The story was inconsistent and the ending was unclear. The hints were plentiful enough and some of the puzzles were fun, but I mostly just skipped them due to confusion about the rules. The atmosphere was gloomy and I honestly couldn't wait to get to the end.
In this game, a girl is found dead at an exclusive dance school. In the end, nothing is as it seems.
I really wanted to like this game. It had beautiful artwork and I enjoyed the dialogue. I also liked that you could switch to match-3 if you didn't care for the hidden object scenes.
The plot twist was interesting, and yet I didn't find this game to be at all engaging. The puzzles were a little lacking, for one thing. Also, we found out who the killer was at the last minute without learning anything behind their motivation or why they were so unhappy. I'm guessing this was probably resolved in the Collector's Edition, but in this game it felt very anticlimactic.
Having played the previous five Clutter games, I had certain expectations, but this one was definitely a surprise!
Normally, I just play for the box quotes (There are 25 readily available in the control panel under "Leigh's Faves"). But this time, I became curious about Leigh's story, and actually played until the end! The story was interesting, the puzzles were fun, and it was cool to meet the artists and the creator, Joe, at the end of the story.
An elf (he's an angry elf) is trying to ruin Christmas! Help Santa and others save the day!
This game was simply gorgeous! Cheerful and festive graphics, lots of challenging puzzles, took me a full day to finish. I love when you have the option of match-3 puzzles when you're stuck on the hidden object scenes. My favorite lesson in this game is not to judge a book by its cover.
Jacob is losing his Christmas spirit due to the greed and nastiness he sees in the people around him. A cab driver named Nick (wink, wink) drives him around town to help people and regain his Christmas spirit!
As always, I adore the Christmas Stories games. They've never failed to get me in the mood for the holidays, year after year. It's disappointing to see the same couple of people complaining about how these games are no longer good when it simply isn't true.
My favorite part was making the sandwiches and a hot cup of cocoa for the hint button!
Find enough gold cards in this match-2 solitaire game, and unlock Charistmas scenes and trophies!
I was familiar with this game, having played the Halloween version, and it didn't disappoint! It's essentially a matching game using cards, but the elusive gold cards are hidden without, and you have to collect a certain amount to move onto the next board.
I was actually able to unlock all 12 boards on this game. Sometime you have to try a few times, but eventually the cards will shuffle in your favor, and you'll have enough to move on. The good thing about doing these levels over and over is that you accumulate coins in order to buy mulligans, shuffles or my particular favorite, the Joker.
Save the curse on Neverland ("Christmasland") and return to your children in time for the holidays!
This was a unique spin on the typical Christmas game. There were lots of interesting puzzles and places to explore, all decorated with Christmas cheer. The atmosphere was a bit bleak for my taste, but points for originality!
An evil God has destroyed Athens and taken the Goddess Athena's powers. Help her defeat him and rebuild the city!
This game was amazing! I had played and loved the first 2 games in the series, but this was next level! It's the same satisfying chain breaking game interspersed with hidden object scenes and helpers from the Gods, but what impressed me were the constant attacks on the city. Wind, rain, fire, mermaids, birds, black holes...you name it! The God responsible for all this will be revealed at the end.
Once you beat the game, you have a chance to build your own palace as a reward. As other reviewers have mentioned, this is a toughie and I was unable to build it up all the way.
