For a game that's several years old, this one is still really enjoyable and unique.
You really can get into this character's story because it's all very interactive. You can dye her hair, put on makeup and change her clothes (she has to keep her identity incognito). You piece together "MacGyver" type of implements to help her in her quest, and then you can see the finished results. Plus, you can physically see her climbing over walls and jumping off of roofs.
I also enjoyed the "process of elimination" spy photos and the safe cracking mini-games. I played in expert mode with absolutely no problems. Even in expert mode, hints and skips are readily available.
I recommend this game!

If you're looking for a challenging HOG, this isn't really your game. It seems to be marketed more so toward children, both in it's simplicity and it's innocence.
I normally give old-school HOGs only 3 stars, because they tend to be tedious, but this game had an extra special something that made it more entertaining. In this game, you were able to collect tricks or treats (more points for treats, negative points for tricks), and there were also fun (but simple) games in between the scenes.
Play this with your younger children to get them in the mood for Halloween fun!!
I recommend this game!

I would love to see more games like this! It was cute and comical (I especially loved the skeleton with the breast implants). There were frogs (that used to be princes) and there were FROGs (fragmented object games), this game had it all! There were lots of fun and challenging puzzles, but you had the option to skip, even in expert level, plus there were unlimited hints. I enjoyed this game from beginning to end!
I recommend this game!

I've heard such great things about this series, I knew I had to play it. Since I always start from the beginning, I had to begin with this one, and BOY was it tedious!
"Copyright 2006" says it all. It's amazing to see how far technology and computer graphics have come since then! The only animation to the game was the same two fish swimming back and forth.
What really drove me crazy were the time limits. When you run out of time, you have to begin the whole series of rooms over again. If you click incorrectly, you lose time. If you use a hint, you lose time.
I thought it would be cool to collect gems, but it turned out to be a disappointment because you couldn't use them to purchase or improve anything. Also, the "fun facts" that you usually get with Titanic games turned out to be the same 5 or 6 facts repeated over and over again.
I suppose it's fine if you just want a simple, old-school HO game, but it really wasn't my cup of tea.

I liked this quirky, little game. As someone married to a Mexican, I would LOVE to see more games set there in the future (although it rankled me that they called the old lady "grandma" and not "abuela").
I loved the sugar skulls and various artwork that generally makes up a "Dia De Los Muertos" celebration. Even though it was cartoonish, the characters were made up beautifully. I also enjoyed the numerous mini-games. There are plenty of hints and skips if you get stuck.
I was planning on giving it 5 stars, but the game cut off on me several times. In reading the Big Fish forums, it seems to be rather common with this game. I found that I was able to move on if I simply clicked the item lightning fast before it was able to cut off again.

I knew this game was going to be a bit of a dud by reading the reviews, but I'm one of those people that HAVE to start a series from the beginning, and from what I've read the rest of the series is far superior.
This game would have been interesting a decade or so ago when these games were first getting their start, but there's really no comparing it to the games that are out now.
The story was mildly interesting, if not a little uneven. It brought to mind Mikkos Cassadine and his evil weather machine from "General Hospital". By the end of the game, I still wasn't sure what exactly was going on in that hotel.
That being said, I did think the "season" rooms were lovely, and I liked the rope and match-3 puzzle games. Other than that, don't expect much. This game is VERY old-school.

This was a cute little game, particularly for children. It just wasn't for me.
This was an "old school" HOG. All scenes were timed, and you had to find cheese in order to replenish your hints. A couple of times I needed hints, and there was no cheese to be found. There were a few puzzles, but they were so simple, you won't even need a "skip" button. Also, the dialogue ran on fairly long, but you have the option to skip it.
My biggest beef with the game was that sometimes the objects you were looking for were improperly labeled. For example, they called a broom a mop, and they called a jar a can.
Not bad for an older game, the artwork was lovely, but it's not one I will be repeating again.

This game was LOADS of fun! I love games where you play two separate characters that have to work together from a distance to help one another, and this one certainly didn't disappoint!
It was funny, original, and despite what the other reviewers here are saying, it took me quite a while to get through the whole thing. I thought the dialogue went on a bit long, but you can quickly click through it if you like.
The hints and skips come available fairly quickly if you need them. I enjoy hints the way they have them set up, where it gives you just a piece of information at a time, so you can hopefully come to it on your own.
I can't wait to play the next one and see what happens with the wacky couple!
I recommend this game!

This is one of the first "Haunted Insane Asylum" games that I ever played, and it STILL holds up as one of the best!
Given that it's a few years old, there is no map (and it's a BIG world) and the hints aren't always helpful. Big Fish has an excellent walk-through for this game, which I used several times.
The cut-scenes is this game were wonderfully frightening! What I found most interesting was the patient rooms where the poor inmates were "forced" to face their fears. I enjoyed the "explosive" ending as well.
I recommend this game!

I hesitated to begin this series, since I knew Big Fish cancelled the series before it was completed, but I certainly didn't regret it.
This game was rather lengthy and chocked full of activities for a standard edition. There were LOADS of achievements to be had. My favorite was when I tried to use my knife to shear the sheep, and I was given the "meanie" award, LOL!
What struck me as unique about this game is that you used the same knife and pitcher throughout the ENTIRE game. It's always kind of bugged me that we throw away objects in these games that we usually need a few minutes later. I also liked the hidden object scenes. It wasn't just the usual pile of junk, but each and every HOS was different.
I found the "shade" to be rather creepy! If you have too many "mis-clicks" on the HOS, then it comes jumping out at you!
All in all, I found this game to be very entertaining and definitely worth the purchase.
I recommend this game!
