1) Resolution/tile pictures and background make backgrounds less clear; 2) Help pop-ups disappear too quickly so sometimes need to go to main help and scroll through; 3) Not only can NOT SKIP odd Memory mini-game, but can NOT EXIT OUT so I had to reboot.
But, in spite of the problems, there IS some interesting play moves, with lots of variety in clearing tiles and moving man that was interesting enough that I would have purchased if the Mini Game allowed skip instead of not allowing no option but to keep trying.
The developer clearly spent a lot of time designing this game. Excellent graphics, game play, visuals. I've only checked the first two levels but it was an immediate buy - especially since I had one time mgt CE game I was waiting for BOGO to buy. But, even if I didn't have that, it would have been worth the normal member CE price as NEW M3 games that are actually creative and different have been almost non-existent on Big Fish for many months.
Cute graphics, like ability to skip dialogue, BUT looked carefully at Level 2 to find money bags needed for all to complete the level, and none found. There were also orange circles I could not click on, Hate having to chop trees down, and very, very slow rebuild. Pretty sure I found most of small flower groups and black circling, but what's the point if I can't locate any money bags. Maybe I'm just not good at these. Note: Why do they call it a "H/O" instead of TM?
One of the instructions said "swipe right" to get Magnifier. BUT, I play this on DESKTOP, there is NO "SWIPING AT ALL on THIS". I tried double clicking, right mouse clicking, clicking on the picture of the magnifier bottom right, but that ended up being the "super clue" and NOT magnifier.
My first scene I saw all, but hesitate to play ANY standard H/O WITHOUT ANY MAGNIFIER available.
make finding several of the objects unfairly hidden (at least for me). Magnifying glass still too small to be of much help.
Too bad for me, because I like many of the H/O games in this series, but developer doesn't listen to subscribers' comments of problems. But others may not have a problem with these, so I'm sure you know by now if you like the series.
...LET US 'SKIP DIALOGUE' in 'OPTIONS' . They're just annoying to many of us.
They DID seem to remove the VERY SLOW TOWER CLIMBS at each level in their previous in the series. It seemed to take soo long to move up to the next tower level for no particular reason.
I had no trouble with the graphics and backgrounds in this one, whereas I DID have slight difficulty finding remaining tiles that need to be clear in the previous ones.
So give this a chance to see if it is something you would enjoy.
My biggest two problems with BF are: 1) the lack of new good M3 games; and 2) My Game Manager is so glitchy, it takes me 5 min to buy a game. And they seemed to cancel my 4 "coupon codes for free game", but replaced them with points instead (not a problem but no clarification). And they have now made me ok their lengthy legal requirements each time I activate Game Manager (4 times so far). So their "upgrades" have just made most things worse.
...EVEN with the POOR MAGNIFIER. I stopped playing at 2nd LEVEL when it would NOT RECOGNIZE a “BAT” listed to find, INSTEAD when click HINT, showed TEENSY VERY DARK ANIMAL BAT – WAY TOO MANY OTHERS that EVEN WITH EXTRA ZOOM are too TINY AND DARKLY HIDDEN – VERY ANNOYING!!
It's such a shame as I love both the cats and dogs concept.. but h/o games are supposed to be fairly displayed enough so that at least you could recognize them when you zoomed over.
But apparently many other reviewers didn't have a problem with this, so you need to choose for yourself.
As cute as it is for what it is, it is a little boring doing almost exactly the same "click on moving marbles that match the stationary ones". I've only completed about 8 levels, but they are all the same.
Perhaps this changes in later levels in the game. But I'm still unclear WHY THIS IS LISTED as "NEW" when it looks like the EXACT SAME CE GAME that was listed as "NEW" ONE MONTH AGO.
As so many other gamers of Big Fish have said, the "new programs" have dwindled to a very few good ones, their Game Manager just keeps getting worse and very glitchy, and their "New format" listings eliminate the fun of allowing members only to view/buy "tomorrow's game" AND the ability to buy older, but fun games we may have missed previously, at a discounted price.
It took me 20 minutes to complete the 3rd level because I had to click the trees and bushes 30+ times to get enough to complete all the tasks. Even worse, I had to wait too long for trees to grow so I could get more wood, so I sat here doing nothing since all other tasks were completed.
BUT, I was hoping I could have completed the round faster if I could find some 'get-arounds' if I buy the game that will keep me from having to keep repeating same actions over and over again for 15 minutes.
So I actually liked the rest enough to buy.. except for the continuing problems I've had with Big Fish Game Manager, which already had too many problems in the last few months - and now is so much worse with their "new improved format" that I am unable to buy any game now as, after 5 minutes waiting for the 'order screen' to appear, it finally says "close and sign in, then retry." But it shows I am already signed in.
