This is a basic hidden object game with limited hints. You get six hints at the start of every round. There is also the possibility of finding question-mark-shaped hints hidden in some of the scenes. I don't think these are to be relied on though, as they're difficult to find. The objects are a challenge to find at times but not impossible. They are very cleverly hidden and sometimes they are right in front of you but you just don't see them. They seem to be hidden in plain view. Some games take the mickey a bit by hiding objects in such a way that you will never find them without a hint, but this game, I feel, is very fair and it's more fun when you get limited hints in a fair game. I also like the little character Sprill, he's very cute and he has his own man bag/satchel to catch the objects in. It's a very long game too, so you do get your money's worth.
I recommend this game!

Chronicles of Vida: The Story of the Missing Princess
Join the beautiful demon-huntress, Vida, on her investigation into a series of mysterious kidnappings!
I was seduced by the cute wereferret initially, when I played the demo, so I bought the full game and then wished I hadn't. I got stuck every fifteen minutes. The gameplay was impossible. There are no helpful hints to get you out of a situation when you can't move forward. The map system didn't help either. There were hints in the HOS, where you don't really need them and the graphics were not my cup of tea. I couldn't finish it and there are no walkthroughs on line but I did come across many disappointed people who had posted asking for help with the game. On the plus side...the atmosphere and environmental effects were very good and I quite liked the characters. I liked the annoying wereferret. Even Vida with her strange accent and monotone delivery would not have put me off if there had been a modicum of user friendly gameplay.
I don't recommend this game.

I Spy Fantasy
Explore three fantastical worlds filled with fun games and challenging I Spy riddles. Encounter challenges and wonderful surprises!
They say it's a children's game but it plays like any number of adult hidden object games. There are three parts to this, a medieval section where you have to rescue a princess, an oceanic/sea genre and a space/science genre. I think my favourite was the space story. They all have riddles at the end and there are no hints for that section. There is also no way of saving the game at any given time, so it's important to play the second game consecutively, otherwise it will take you back to the start. The second time, you play, there are a new set of objects to find but the riddles at the end remain the same, with just one or two differences in the cut scenes.

This game is aimed at young children but it can be thoroughly enjoyed by gamers of all ages. The graphics are a bit ropey and it can be a bit clunky because it's an oldish game. Considering it's supposed to be for kids, I don't really see much difference between this and so called adult hidden object games. There are mini games, objects can be difficult to find and the hint button takes ages to charge up. In fact, it's a lot more challenging and fun than some of these new HOG's available, with all their dumbing down gameplay and lack of replayability. The replayability in this game is very good. You can play it a few times, with different objects to find in each scene and with a different fun riddle to solve at the end.

Voodoo Chronicles: The First Sign Collector's Edition
Help out James Voodoo as he investigates a mysterious attack and goes on an incredible adventure in Voodoo Chronicles: The First Sign!
This played a bit like a movie with good pacing, good characters and voiceover. The lead character is a Philip Marlowe type of detective, cool, calm and collected, who interacts with 'roaring twenties' characters in a steampunk world. So it is like three genres in one. It has the right combo of adventure with puzzley game play and hidden object game. It is brimming with HOS. It it hadn't been for the strategy guide though, I wouldn't have finished it, or I would have struggled to progress. I got stuck quite regularly. There are no hints that show you what to do in the game play. You can't find objects in the gameplay with a hint. There are only hints in the HOS, ironically, where you don't need them so much. Overall, an enjoyable and quite memorable game. I've noticed from the reviews that some people can't find the bonus game at the end. Just go to the main menu and click on 'Bonus' in the bottom right hand corner. Then, there should be three circled picture icons at the top, a book, a paint palette and a phonograph. Click on the book icon. Then, there will be five pictures in a row in the centre. Click on the very first picture, then the 'Play' button will become highlighted, click on that and then the bonus game should start.

City of Fools
A UFO is rumored to have landed in the small town of Tundel and the mayor is trying to conceal it. Run your own journalistic investigation and learn the truth behind the event!
This game has lots of potential to be amazing. It's certainly unforgettable. There were great things about it. Nice graphics, interesting characters, laugh out loud scenes/situations and humour. It's funny and fun at the same time but also intricate, complex, tedious, irritating, frustrating and absolutely NOT RELAXING at all. I played it with my husband, so I had help! We needed a better map. We got so disorientated and stressed out that we just had to quit. So, this is one of the very few games that I've bought, yet never finished. I was so close to the end too. People only have to mention 'City Of Fools' to me and my nervous tic starts up...

Danger Next Door: Miss Teri Tale's Adventure
Your neighbor, Monty, has been murdered! It`s up to you to solve the case by exploring solving puzzles and finding clues.
This is basically a whodunnit/murder mystery. It's a simple hidden object game with some easy puzzles. The unlimited hint was quite slow to recharge and the objects could sometimes be difficult to find but it was such a weird and whacky game. Unusual, unique and quirky, exactly the kind of game I like. Very entertaining.
I don't really like newer games but I do like Dark City's Victorian/Steampunk genre. Smooth, straight forward, no nonsense game play combined with a fantastic story line, voice over and music. The many cut scenes can add to the atmosphere but sometimes interrupt and stilt it. I'd have given it five stars if there had been more hidden object scenes without all the frills and fuss. There just weren't enough HOS to keep HOS fans happy. It's more like an adventure game. I did like the bonus game and the moral decision you have to make at the end.
I recommend this game!

The World's Legends: Kashchey the Immortal
The beautiful Tsaritsa has been kidnapped! Help the young Tsarevich save his dear mother from an evil sorcerer!
This has lots of hidden object scenes with light puzzles in the game play. There are unlimited hints and a skip button on the mini games. It's gentle and relaxing but also lacked a certain something. Maybe it wasn't as atmospheric as I would have liked. Many of the characters you meet along the way are animals, so if you are an animal lover you might like this.
All roads lead to Rome! With thousands of years of art, history, and culture on display, it's the perfect destination for your next Big City Adventure.
This has 60 levels with 10 different mini games and 60 hidden sheilds to find. This was the easiest of the Big City Adventures to play, in my opinion, with clear, well rendered graphics that made finding objects a pleasure, rather than a pain. It wasn't too easy however, I found the mini games more difficult than the HOS in this one, sometimes it can be the other way around. I loved all the scenes, they were fun and interesting. All in all, a great game.
