Quite a short game and the ending is abrupt. It's also timed and if you misclick you're in trouble...you get even less time then. I suppose the music is quite nice and it would be a relaxing straight forward hog if it wasn't for the difficulty in finding objects and the timed aspect of it. The mini puzzles are simplistic and repetitive. They just regurgitate the same few puzzles throughout the game. It's all about the Philosophers Stone again, like in 'Great Secrets Nostradamus' I didn't like all the 'Spot The Differences' as I'm not a fan of that kind of puzzle. Although, the objects there were much easier to find than in the hidden object scenes.

This is one of those true horror movie type games. Lots of blood! No, seriously you will see actual blood. Very atmospheric with really nice unusual graphics, almost like a painted style. Rather sad, haunting music. Lots of scary dramatic moments that make you jump and yet...it's also a very well thought out game. It manages to retain a composure and is quite classy as horror games go. Very good, smooth gameplay, polished, very well paced. Unlimited hints. It's not as vulgar or shocking as I think it comes across. It's simply exciting and dramatic and not gratuitous (except for the blood now and again) Exceptionally good cinematics and cutscenes. I don't like horror genres as a rule but this is a bit different. I love the storyline too. It's very relatable to human emotions, all about the horror of regret when you don't appreciate what you have until it's too late, So, it's horror in more ways than one.
This is a straight forward hidden object game, with usually a jigsaw type puzzle to do at the end of each chapter. There is no skip button and it is also timed, so quite challenging in that aspect. In fact the whole game is timed, so it's not exactly relaxing but the good news is, you can start each chapter afresh and you will most likely do better the second time round, as you remember where the objects are hidden. I like it because it's quirky and old school, especially in its graphics. The graphcs aren't too hot but I like them and I like the gameplay. It has a great atmosphere and I love the music, which is very memorable, catchy and sort of haunting and sinister. It does after all, relate to a horrible real life tragedy from the past, where many people lost their lives. What makes this game challenging and exciting is, you are underwater, so every time you use a hint, you lose some oxygen (time).I found I played a chapter many times because objects weren't easy to find and because hints are essentially limited. I would have to start over. When it wasn't frustrating, it was fun! You will always progress and gain more time each time, as you learn where everything is. The objects are quite difficult to find, sometimes ridiculously so. They are blended into the background, as was the habit/method of hiding objects in the older games. It's bad enough that it's timed, but when you use a hint, you lose even more time! You do need a bit of patience for this one but I really liked it nevertheless.
This is a wonderful game with the right balance of mini puzzles, HOS and in-game puzzles. It's exciting, intriguing and atmospheric. The graphics could have been a bit more interesting but they were okay. I'm prepared to overlook that and still give it five stars because it's special, unique and quirky but in a classy way. But most of all, it's memorable and I'll be playing it again at some point. You really feel ike you're on a journey in this game. It's quite sequential and well paced and puzzles are fun too. An unexpected treat. It delivered more than it promised. Even though, it's exciting, it still remains relaxing. I'm not quite sure how it gets that balance but it does. SPOILER The thing that makes this game memorable is...I'll say one word - Gnomes. Gnomes give this game a certain je ne sais quoi. If you like gnomes, you will love this game.
This is not a relaxing game but it is very funny. I laughed out loud at some of the animation sequences and there are lots of visual jokes in the graphics too. There's puzzles going on left, right and centre and you have to think for yourself a bit and show some initiative. You definately have to think outside the box sometimes but this is tempered with the fact that there are no silly solutions, nothing illogical and nothing too difficult to solve. It also makes for an exciting game. Graphics are nice and detailed and objects aren't too difficult to find. Scruff the dog is a good character and is also your unlimited, chargable hint. When he's not barking to help you find an object, he's trying to sleep. The barking might annoy you but it's quite an exciting and unique way to find a hint. I found the mini puzzles unimaginative but the skip button is fast charging. All in all, it's a great game if you need cheering up!
I recommend this game!

Mishap 2: An Intentional Haunting
This time it’s no Mishap! Help Milton Hobblepop and the Mishap gang stop his greatest rival from imprisoning more spirits!
The graphics are excellent, very detailed. There's always something new to look at, and like onion layers, you keep peeling away. Lots of lovely animation gems in the HOS too. It is mostly hidden object scenes for the most part and some well executed and luxurious mini games at the end of every level/chapter. The mini games are like games you might buy and they could stand alone with some development from the programmers. I particularly liked the space invaders and salon game. I wasn't too keen on the riddle at the end of each chapter, but I got through it. There's no hints to help you through the riddle and if you get stuck, in any way, you're sort of up the creek without a paddle for a while.. The characters are fantastic and voice overs are faultless. I couldn't get the finale cinematic to play (but I think that's down to my computer not being fast enough). It's a great game. So much work has gone into it. I would also recommend the first game, 'Mishap: An Accidental Haunting'. It's very similar to this one.
I found the objects difficult to find in this game, a little bit too well blended. Sometimes though, even with a hint, it is difficult to find the object. Also the hint seems to take forever to charge up. I resorted to doing a lot of random clicking, which actually seemed to get the job done in the end. It's saving grace is in the ambient sound effects and graphics, which are a bit old school but still good, with little animation gems, which along with weather and other environmental elements, make the HOS feel very alive and atmospheric. That, along with the evocative character graphics make it worthwhile. The game play is good too, cluedo-esque but a little repetitive. You also get access to bonus gameplay by collecting at least 50 police badges, which are hidden throughout all scenes. This opens up the detective school, which to my shame, I haven't even looked at yet. Some reviewer I am.
In 'Jetsetter' you play a P.A to the stars and you'll recognise most, if not all of the celebrities you work for, as they are based on real ones. They've just changed the names. There is definately no such thing as unlimited hints in this game. You have to earn money to buy hints and you earn money by finding objects. You go to a shop to buy the hints but it's not called a shop or a store. You have to click on the 'Take A Vacation' menu. That will take you to 'Casino Gateway' which is where the shop is located also. I didn't go to the casino, I just bought hints. My fav hints to buy were the £300, the £400 and the £700, the rest were pretty useless. Also, in my opinion, the casino's in these games are a complete waste of time and money. Why risk losing hard earned cash, when you can earn well enough in the HOS with just a modicum of strategy? The technique I found most useful for earning money was to find 2 or 3 items on the list, that are located in the same area.. Note their positions in advance and then click them very quickly one after the other. The speed bonus is the key to this game or rather the key to getting hints. I found 2 or 3 in quick succession was manageable but the more the better. I found it challenging and enjoyable but I wouldn't say it was relaxing. It might get a tad less stressful as you progress and build up a small stash of hints but it is a tactical game and you can't really rest on your laurels too much. That's the best thing about it really, you work hard for your hints. There is a time limit as well, to add to the stress but it's quite a long time limit, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem. I never ran out of time. You search for the same types of object in every scene and there's not much variation but it was fun to recognise the celebrities.

This is one of the best HOG's I've ever played. Sometimes, it felt like I was playing one of the more expensive, epic and popular first person shooter games out there. It's got everything. Lush graphics, atmospheric sound effects and voice overs, riveting and well executed cinematics and cut scenes. Good storyline, strong believable characters and good game play. Good user interface. It's not too short and not too long and there's a satisfying, rewarding ending. I think if Goldilocks was at the three bears house, she would think this particular game was just right.
Very atmospheric. Relaxing and fun with decent game play and lashings of hidden object scenes, a real bonus if you like lots of no nonsense HOS. Very good voice overs and sound effects. I enjoyed finding the morphing objects. I loved the beginning cinematics/story.premise but felt it didn't follow through to a satisfying conclusion. Felt like I was left hanging. It ended abruptly, suddenly. The hint was slow charging and the skip button on puzzles took ages to charge. Discovered some glitches at the end of the game. I couldn't skip puzzles, the skip button wouldn't work, so horror of horrors, I had to enlist the help of my husband who is good at puzzles and he did the last few puzzles for me. So be warned, if puzzles aint your thing, you may find that you can't skip them towards the end of the game but it'll probably be no great loss, because the ending promises so much but delivers little. I still really liked it though. Quirky, unusual, old school-ish, but not too old to make it dated, yet it did become mysteriously clunky and glitchy at the end. Maybe it was the gnomes.
