This was quite a good game. It was beautifully drawn as always with Elephant games. Really awesome cut scenes. But what I liked the best was the extra gameplay. There were goblins to collect and achievements to achieve. But there was also a magical book that needed to be recharged and you did that by matching runes to locations throughout the game. (similar to MCF games) You also collected runes and crystals. very good. Each location stayed open as you needed to do things in each one long into the game. There was the addition of a crow to help if you didn't mind him complaining the entire time. He also told the story in the cut scenes. I liked this game. I will add that it seemed a bit similar to some of their other games but it was still good.
I recommend this game!

Quite a bit of work went into this game and I always appreciate that. There were achievements galore and collectibles also. There was a mystery achievment where you had to make each owl hoot. It also showed your objectives as they were introduced into each scene. There was a diary that you actually had to use to complete puzzles. And some of the mini games were new and fun. The story starts out on a blimp which quickly crashes and you find yourself in some kind of ancient ruins. And that's where for me, the storyline gets a bit wonky. Although I did like how you placed missing peices into circular objects in the wall and they showed a cut scene wth more of the story. The story itself was interesting enough but it just didn't seem to jive with these live actors. But honestly I've played a lot worse games. This one had enough plusses that a kind of odd storyline could be overlooked. i really liked this one. There were also lots of extras. Really well put together package and some value for the money.
I recommend this game!

I loved the sinister quality to this game. The singing barber who kills people in his barber chair and the women down the street who sells meat pies with suspect ingredients. Loved how the cut scenes were sung. The story takes place in old England and the lead inspector offers sometimes amusing comments and encouragement throughout the game. The map is how you travel from on location to another.. and there are many. You must pull all of the clues together to complete each chapter. At the end of the chapter you are graded on how well you did. I did find the HO scenes a bit small but not overly difficult. The game moved along quite well. The hint system was very helpful if you were stuck. Overall I was sorry to see this one end. Different, entertaining and fun.
I recommend this game!

I love Elephant games but this one was soooo hokey that I just could not get into it. The storyline seems like it was slapped together with no real interest. The graphics were, of course, beautiful but the game lacked any substance, any suspence and any challenge. It's a loose take on a Cinderella type fairy tale with a wicked witch and a castle etc etc. Not much to it really. I only played half of it despite having paid for it. There are just so many other much better games out there for me to spend my time with. If you are looking for a light, lame, silly, no challenge game then this is for you otherwise you may want to keep looking.
I don't recommend this game.

For me Blue Tea games has been getting better and better over the years and really hit their stride with the Red Riding Hood sisters that I loved. This one had many of the same qualities as well as some similarities in storyline. (you get a healing herb for an injured warrior etc) The graphics are, of course. stunningly beautiful, the music is lovely and I absolutely love their HO scenes. They are really breathtaking. The story went along well, the cut scenes and VO's were really well done. Overall I loved this game. So why not five stars? The choice I had to make at the end. I must choose to kill a bunch of wolves or a bunch of horses. hmmm Why can't I kill the people instead? The animals did nothing wrong. The people are the ones starting the war. Anyway aside from that this is quite a good game that's beautifully put together with all the bells and whistles. Nice job
I recommend this game!

This was a good standard HOPA. Lots of HO scenes, some puzzles and an assortment of inventory objects. In each new scene someone loses their head and a ghost appears asking you for a specific object that will allow them to cross over in peace. You must then find an assortment of items and combine them to complete this task. The story moves along well. Each area is no longer accessible after you have completed the task. There are achievements and collectibles of golden horeshoes that you can use to buy stuff. Good game. For those of us who play a lot of games it may seem a bit familiar but overall a well done solid game with some bells and whistles.
I recommend this game!

This game is a journey into ridiculousness. It begins with 3 students who went to the library and now seem to be magically trapped in books. Good concept right? Well as it turns out ony one book. Romeo and Julliet. No achievements, no morphing, no collectibles. Done by Elephant games the graphics are everything we know and love but the storylne is all over the place. More trying was the array of locks. You needed a massive amount of keys including a note, red cross, skull, .leaf, rose, frog, crown, shield, crest, snowflake an assortment of medallions and on and on and on. Believe me I could keep going but you get the picture. As you enter the library you find some semi dead people holding notes and some guy with an evil looking puppet who pops in and out throughout the game. huh? I was into the third of four chapters when the library wall fell open to reveal a frozen area guarded by a fire knight???? sigh ok that's it. What happened to the books? I dunno. At that point I gave up. After putting together an elevator to no where I had had enough. Too bad as I had once stated Elephant games to be my fave. But they have begun pumping out games like crazy and at least for me, have lost their way. This one was too all over the map for me. I didn't even finish the game never mind the bonus chapter.
I don't recommend this game.

Loved the music.. loved the story. beautiful graphics. achievements and a little gargoyle helper. Some really good mini games and this one had some challenge. I had a few what to do next moments and I really had to study my inventory objects. Bravo. This was better than the first one IMO and I gave the first one 5 stars. Set in Paris, you are helping the police who have hired you in secret as they do not want anyone to know that the case has paranormal elements to it. A young girl has been kidnapped seemingly by gargoyles. My only critique is the ending which is the exact same ending used over and over and over again. But the rest of the game.. the cut scenes, the artwork, the music and the storyline are all very good. The HO scenes bright and crisp and some tricky inventory objects. Nice job loved it.
I recommend this game!

This was a very intelligent game. A PA with no HO scenes. You are called back to A.R.C.A.N.E,
a secret research facility that is dealing with some very dangerous creatures that it is trying to contain. This is part two and although you don't have to have played part one it will help you to have an idea what's going on right from the start. This is full of a variety of challenging puzzles. Some more so than others. My only critique would be that it needs to have either at least some puzzle instructions or the inclusion of a SG I don't feel that that would take away from the challenge as sometimes I did have to skip a puzzle or two as I could just not fathom what to do.. I must say thought that I found my way around no problem and managed about 3/4's of the puzzles. The game is quite intense and the story unfolds beautifully. This is not a light hearted or fluffy game. It is challenging and equally rewarding when you figure it out. But be prepared to settle in and figure out many puzzles. This game does seem to be polarizing with people either loving it or hating it. I loved it. Can't wait for the next one!

This was an okay game. A FROG with three different worlds to access through an evil mirror. An assortment of mini games.. matching things, moving chess pieces and weighing birds to name a few. Each world was different. Started off with a steampunk world that had some funny "information booths" and lots of clocks and trains. Then moved to a water garden one. This one had a multicolored hummingbird wearing a tiara that was voiced by a guy. Didn't seem to fit at alll and the third was oriental with a talking elk?? Very odd. I found this game entertaining but not overly gripping. You spend a lot of time in interactive FROG scenes and collecting mirror fragments. But that was enough for me. I liked it. It won't go down as an epic adventure but it was different enough to not feel like you've played it many times before. I did though have to turn off the awful carnival music that played throughout.
I recommend this game!
