Another good one from ERS. I should put meeting them in person as part of my "bucket list". Game was worth every penny, and was a pretty long one. Well worth the money. I didn't see a map, but between the hint button and the SG it was pretty easy to navigate around. The necklace part was like a game within a game by itself.

Finished Novella One, great story, great graphics. The sense of urgency felt very real, and I was going as fast as I could to save the little girl. (whew, I'm out of breath!) The only drawback I found in the game was the items in the HOS were very tiny and hard to see. The HOS were very cluttered as well.
Storyline was great, HOS were spaced well apart. Minigames? There were so many it was a joke. I skipped so many that while I was waiting, I dusted the house, fed the animals and then read the town's weekly paper. The big thing going in this game's favor was the storyline and the graphics.

This game shows a lot of thought was put into it, down to the dangly bones hanging off the minigame frames. It's not scary, but very dark. On the hop's some of the items were difficult to maneuver, however, I liked the multitasking to get end results. There doesn't seem to be a map, so there is a lot of backtracking, but the hint button is directional enough.

Different fun factors and challenges, great for a beginner. The games I played were timed, so if you have played this type of game on a regular basis it's pretty easy to spot matching tiles. The "journey" cheers you on at every completed level, which was cute. This type of game is an excellent one to play after a hard day at work. Relaxing.

Very interesting storyline. I liked the way it shifted from you being in a house looking for clues to suddenly getting whisked to hunting for your friend in a Mexican jungle. hint button helped to navigate, and actually sent you right to the spot for your next clue. Minigames were challenging.
A murderous figure in a red mask haunts the streets of a small French town, and the mayor needs your help to track him down. But you soon discover that the mysterious Red Masque might not be the real criminal…

Strong storyline, mixed minigames are actually fun, some even fairly easy for a lazy person like me. Hint button worked well as a directional source, so seldom had to exit into strategy guide. The extras included getting a cute kitten and bringing it all kinds of toys, etc (for the animal lovers). Not too many cut scenes or dialog. I liked the extra trophy lines, and the recipe for bread was pretty creative.

While ERS has a tried and true formula for their games, some people might find that point, well, boring. I like to know what I'm getting, and this game felt balanced. The fact that there was no hint button except on HOS was cool. I enjoyed the minigame on the pub door the best. It showed a bit of creativity. Not too much running around, either.

I stuck it out for a little over an hour. Annoying jumping journal, the hint shot out a flame which zigzagged across the screen, and while you were in the middle of an HOS it would jump you into a minigame. And the dialog . . . and the endless HOS . . . I don't recommend this game unless you like endless HOS
