I really enjoyed this one. The artwork is outstanding. The Hidden Object Scenes were fun and easy to get through. Puzzles were challenging but do-able. The length is excellent. Hints refill quickly in easy mode and Skips are fairly fast, too.
Once upon a time in the small, undistinguished town of Silentville people started disappearing. Help uncover the mystery behind these disappearances and save the town from a curse!

The Hidden Object Scenes in this game were actually fun. Not too many of them, and you have to move a lot of things around and interact to create the items you are looking for.
The mini-games were not my favorite. I would have liked more explanation of what I'm supposed to do. The directions they did give didn't always make sense. The Skip button fills up pretty fast, though.
There is one task near the end of the game that would be impossible to solve without the walk-through. It's completely random and you could sit there for days trying different things.
They did a decent job with the cut-scenes. Granted, they were just done as voice-overs, but the voices were great.
The adventure doesn't really support the storyline, though. It's just kind of dropped while you're doing all these things.
The ending was too abrupt and the demon or whatever that stands there talking and talking isn't convincing. Kind of cheesy, actually.

The main problems with this game are that it doesn't tell you what you need to do to advance to higher levels, it doesn't explain how to remove obstacles, and the power-ups are a joke,
I could put up with substandard graphics if it was an enjoyable game, but it's just not. Very little explanation, lots of frustration. (The last thing you want from a Match 3 game.)

You have got to be kidding. That was the shortest demo I've ever encountered. Not nearly enough time for this game to redeem itself from my first impressions.
The graphics are very basic and dull. There are way too many pieces of paper to pick up and read.
The Hint button gives too much information. A simple arrow in the right direction is all most people want or need. The Hint function for this game tells you exactly what you need to do. (Don't know why anyone would need a Strategy Guide with these kinds of hints.)
Same old black smoke swirling around to represent the evil spirit.
Nothing about this was engaging or fun. There did seem to be a lot of puzzles, which some people might enjoy.
This is a definite "no" for me, and I'm not interested in the standard edition, either.

This game is a little different than your usual HOPA. Lots of creepy images and scenes, with an emphasis on demon-like villians. The tasks and inventory items are unique. Hidden Object Scenes are quite dark, but not as hard as they first appear. My only complaint is that it was over too soon. Took me about three hours, total. But it's different enough to make it worthwhile.

This game is well laid-out. I never got lost, and there is a map, if needed. Many of the puzzles/games were fun and unique. I especially appreciated that the hidden object scenes were fairly easy and allowed for the momentum to continue. The interactive portions of the hidden object scenes were logical and simple to figure out. The game could have been a little longer, but overall, there's a lot to like here.

Things I didn't like:
Too monochromatic, with many locations looking similar. This makes it hard to distinguish between rooms and remember where to go for what.
Storyline is not well-developed.
Instructions for puzzles were unclear and largely unhelpful. A Hint feature within the puzzles would be a big help.
Skip button for puzzles takes too long to load, even on the easiest level.
The pattern of find an item, use an item, play a Hiden Object Scene, then play a puzzle, was repeated too often. It becomes like clockwork.
Too many Hidden Object Scenes for my taste.
The interactive feature in Hidden Object Scenes was tricky. If you didn't place an item exactly in the right spot, nothing would happen. And since there's no indication where objects should be placed, you don't even know if you're in the right area. You just have to keep guessing and trying different spots, until you use a Hint out of desperation.
The music during Hidden Object Scenes was repetitive.
No map to help with navigation, and the Hint button will only tell you there's nothing to do there, not direct you to where you should go next.
Nothing special or amazing about any of it. By the end, I just wanted it to be over.
