Always hopeful for something interesting and different. Hey, you never know when we'll actually get a good game to immerse ourselves, right? Wrong. Eeek!
Talented artwork, graphics and music very well done but the horror-ible story got in the way. As others pointed out, more of the same mindless duties with the dreaded to and fro. Ugh!
The maze puzzle was blandly confusing without any structure. A satisfying challenge is one in which players could mutter something like, hey, those developers got me good on that one! Nope, none of that. Wow!
Not meaning to be insensitive to Developers because I always appreciate their hard work and dedication. It's just that the game dynamics utilizes the same over used and redundant game play one after the other after the other. Yawn.
Although I do look forward to new releases, there's very few developers who present games good enough to purchase. Cry!
Horror, dark magic, enchanted smoke rolling about doesn't sell but it's all we get so maybe Developers believe that's what sells. It's good games that sell, whatever the genre. Enjoy!
Hey, what do we have here--a good little game--finally? Yikes! Now, here's an enjoyable, creative and unique game with a futuristic back drop! Not expecting this one! Well presented, well put together and an interesting story! All we've been getting is redundant magical smoke that sucks in souls, hearts, minds and everything else but the kitchen sink!
Thank you, game developers. Yes, I watched the credits. Had given up "hope" on playing at least one good game and you came through with flying colors! I purchased your game immediately! Enjoy!
One of my favorites, Mystery Trackers is far removed from older games. Would suggest playing them with high recommendation. Elf keeps me coming back for more. Please bring back the charm of previous games. How is that so impossible? I think the lack of ratings says it all. Enjoy.
Enjoyed playing especially with fewer and fewer options available. BFG has what, a handful of Developers? Best to appreciate, otherwise, we'll have zero. Still, I miss James! Death Sentence with James is the very best Haunted Hotel and Ancient Bane CE too!
On this rare occasion that I actually agree with 5-star reviews, I'm wondering if others are just weary of waiting for a good game and don't see one when it's arrived. Probably comparing to the first Phantasmat by Codeminion which is just never going to happen again. EIPIX has tried with some good and some pretty awful, so let's move on. Definitely feeling the same loss.
Mournful Loch is very intriguing with great everything which I'm not going to list over and over--ambiance, music, story, puzzles. You know the routine by now which I also don't understand the long and lengthy reviews with an exhaustive list. Less is more and often times, more than not, lengthy reviews will give away game details that should be enjoyed by the player! Recommend this sequel, for sure! Enjoy!
Daily Magic did a fine job on The Cursed Guards. Found the puzzles challenging and different. Everyone wants different, right? Here's game that's different and, obviously, Developers knocked themselves out presenting everything game players have asked with all the bells, whistles and then some.
Surprised that there was challenge, yet, I lean towards even more competitive but that's me. Liked very much the ability to switch to a match-3 and also the morphing objects' puzzle. Well done! Thank you, Daily Magic! Enjoy!
Usually sequels wear thin and Grim Tales was heading in that spiraling downward direction. Elephant Games somehow turned GT around with Graywitch. I was expecting to dislike the game based on some reviews and was pleasantly surprised as game is fun and flowed smoothly. There was some back and forth but do-able. I like Richard and enjoy his cynical humor. He means well and, hopefully, will be the star of his own game!
All in all, devs presented creative gaming for all ages. Enjoy!
Okay, okay, the music was seriously off-key, annoying and for the tone-deaf only. Hang in there as I did. Completed game, plus bonus, collectibles, bonus puzzle, etc.
The reason for the negatives, mostly, is that the game was a tad bit more challenging and we don't seem to like challenge any more. Just sit us in front of a monitor to watch the pretty colors swirling around is about all we want to do with games anymore, Bad reviews--not negative reviews--have all about killed out any challenges whatsoever. A good example is this Cadenza series. It's not awful and is certainly 100% better than most of the games presented of late. They're still consistently well-presented and FUN!
Mad Head did an outstanding job with beautiful artwork, a good story, hidden objects, mini-puzzles all wrapped up in a good game. What's our other choices? Hmmm? For years, I've been detailing the backlash of the abundance of inaccurate reviews and here we are! When we DO get a decent game, still more complaints. How can developers understand what we gamers need and want when there's such a disparity in reviews--they're either 5-star outstanding or one star boo-get-off-the-stage. Give it a whirl and hang in there. Is definitely a lot of fun AND gamers can actually see everything on the screen without being hidden in dark obscurity. Enjoy!
Completed, lengthy and SUPERIOR game. Cannot judge OR review this game AT ALL based on the demo only. Usually it's the other way around where the demo is very good and the game is a dud. But, if you want to go there, I initially wasn't all too impressed with the Demo AND together with the INACCURATE reviews, figured Frozen Path would be a mediocre game at best. PLAY ON!
Decided to purchase because I very much liked the Demo's superior artwork, computer graphics and also greatly admire SUNWARD GAME TEAM'S previous work. PLAY ON!
This, my friends, is an EXCELLENT GAME! Writers have cleverly and intricately woven an old Norse myth tale together with a more modern era mining incident. BTW, Frozen Path has nothing to do with a man who freezes things with his eyes as it's only the beginning of, you got it, a path FROZEN in time. PLAY ON!
Wow! Fascinating computer graphics, imaginative characters, superb sound effects, loads of challenging puzzles and fun, interactive hidden objects where other big name devs are cutting back.
Zowie! A fantastic sound track ties in all the components that make this game pure genius. A GREAT GAME and one we haven't had ACTUALLY WITH a challenge for far too long!
Yikes! It's all there and more! Collectibles, Tricky morphing objects, 32 Mini-games, 14 Interactive hop's, 12 Videos, 18 Wallpapers, 12 Concept art, 10 Sound track is all there to play again, review, save and enjoy,
Of course! Will return and play again as I got all caught up in the exciting finale and completely missed the last Collectible and Trick morphing object.
Ah! Insulting to review this game as boring with all the above hard work and many awesome previous games. Enjoy!
I almost bought this game based on the "usual" glowing reviews, a good BFG CE sale and the last outstanding MCF Eipix game. Had my eye on a couple games, actually for this big sale. Ah, what would it hurt to play a bit of the demo first.
The opening cut scene looked so promising. The family never forgets! Yes, yes, sounds like my family! Hey, a good story here. Or so, I thought. Almost immediately, running around picking up items to put here and there. Story never got off the ground. Okay, I'm done. Foggeddaboudditt! This family forgets! Not going around and around through entire game and then bonus chapter. If the opening scene can be so well done, the rest of the game should follow. Enjoy!
