I was pleasantly surprised with this game, as the title had it sounding somewhat dull and boring.
The graphics were lovely, cut-scenes well done.
Hidden object and puzzles were a tad too easy, but the hidden object games were interactive which is far more enjoyable than standard.
There are bonus items to find and achievements to earn, although 5 of them are 'hidden' which is a little silly as you don't realise until end of game. Also the title of the achievements gave one of the key plots away.
The only real complaints I have with this games is that it was too short. Took me under 4 1/2 hrs on hard mode for main game, and under an hour for bonus chapter.......could have been longer.
The storyline itself wasn't very interesting, but the game was laid out so beautifully and the tasks so interesting that the lack of story gets forgotten....right up until the end when you realise it should end with "to be continued" - a pet hate of mine!
If you are tossing over the CE versus the SE, I'd suggest whait for the SE as the bonus chapter was neither part of the story, nor a story in itself, but the game itself. whilst short, was still one of the best ones I've played in quite some time.
Highly recommend. :-)
I recommend this game!

Can't decide whether to give this game 3 or 4 stars - really would like to give it 3 1/2 stars.
Whilst this game had gorgeous graphics and cut-scenes, and was very well done, it still left me feeling somewhat disappointed for a whole bunch of reasons.
Firstly the game was very short. I am sure the other Shadow Wolf instalments took me a lot longer to play.
Even on 'hard' playing option, there were still annoying sparkles for hidden object scenes.
The hidden object scenes were very easy, and only slightly interactive. Puzzles likewise were exceedingly easy. No challenge.
I only used the hint once the whole game - and that was to find a hidden "spike' that turned out to be a walking crutch. Huh? For CE games, errors like this are not on.
There was also a Journal, but mine stopped updating half way through the game.
There were no achievements or hidden bonus items to find (something I love in games - the more the better).
The storyline wasn't brilliant, and was also flawed. Veronica moves to Paris to start fresh, where one of the locals says "Mephistus is back" - how can he be 'back' to a new place.
The bonus chapter followed on from the main story, and whilst not essential to it, if you like your games finishing neatly, then you'll need the bonus chapter as well.
Maybe I just set my expectations to high for this game - all in all it was still a lovely game to play.
I recommend this game!

The graphics in this game were clear and crisp, and were very well done.
The rest of the game was found wanting.....
The cut-scenes were extremely slow and out of sync - probably due to the use of live characters..
Except for the graphics, the game wasn't what I consider to be CE callibre. There were no bonus objects to find. No achievements to earn.
The puzzles and hidden objects were basic level.
The storyline was....not really sure you could call it a story. Something about a woman who liked spiders, but not husbands. Not the slightest bit riveting, which resulted in the game becoming boring and tedious.
The game was a just passable length.
The bonus chapter was probably the best part of the game. The puzzles were slightly harder, and the storyline was more a prequel from another character POV, and was also far more interesting than the main game.
I think if you like the first hour of play, then get the CE version, but if you are on the fence about it, then see what else is around first.
I recommend this game!

Firstly, the way to play this game is on the hard mode, without use of the hint button - do this and you'll have an entertaining and challenging adventure game (I didn't use the hint button but i suspect it would lessen the real worth of the game).
There are objects to collect throughout the game, and then tasks to perform with said objects. You also have to collect 21 angels (I missed one - grr).
Achievements can also be earned.
The puzzles were easy as a whole, although the odd one or two required your thinking cap. Nothing original, but also none of the run-of-the-mill ones either.
The storyline was mediocre, and i felt there was something missing at the end - made me wonder if there should have been a bonus chapter...or two. The Title - which I loved, along with a weeping angel early in the game, took my attention....but then the storyline changed tack, and instead of working out why the angel was weeping, we just had to complete pointless tasks.
The game was also slightly on the short side.
I think the only real gripe i had with the game was the conversations, which consisted of lengthy half-mashed archaic speech. These were so bad they bordered on painful!
Even with all its shortfalls, this game was still enjoyable enough that i chose it to play over a multitude of CE games.
I recommend this game!

Really worth 4 1/2 stars, but knocked it down rather than up as it isn't their best.
Beautiful graphics, good cut-scenes, voice-overs, wide-screen...in a nutshell, perfect viewing. Doubt you would find much better.
Hidden object games were slightly interactive, and both they and the puzzle games were way too easy. Just involved clicking and very little thought.
There were no achievements to earn and only a very few morphing animals (that being said, i actually missed one).
Their was a map that you could use to jump to another scene - it also highlighted the current scene that had a task to complete which made things a little too easy.
I didnt use the hint button and used the Strategy Guide twice through the whole game...was really no challenge to it at all.
Story was a passable length, and storyline was tolerable but also predictable. No 'edge of your seat' plot.
Bonus followed on from main story but wasnt an important part of it. Slightly on the short side as finished it in under an hour.
The biggest downfall with this game was that it was just too easy and lacked bonus objects and achievements.
If it came down to the CE or the SE, I'd say if you had the full series then go the CE, but otherwise wait for the SE as bonus chapter wasnt much and Stategy Guide not really needed.
Still highly recommend this game due to it's wonderful production level and easy flow,.as are all the Mystery Tracker games.
I recommend this game!

It's great when you come across something that isn't a carbon copy of every other game.
I wanted to give this game 5 stars purely for its originality... but found there were too many shortfalls with it.
Lovely graphics, and cut scene - however these played a little sluggishly on my computer.
Hidden objects scenes were a little hard to see for some items, even using my mouse magnifier. A lot of opening cupboards etc which gave it that little extra challenge.
Puzzles were slightly different to the norm, although some played sluggishly.
Storyline was good, with a little surprise at the end - although i felt it ended slightly abruptly.
Whilst not for everyone, I would definitely recommend it.
I recommend this game!

This game had everything you could ask for.
Beautiful graphics, which catered for wide-screen.
Hidden object games and puzzles werre all relatively easy.
Bonus objects to find as well as morphing objects.
Basic achievements to earn.
Good storyline, with the game being a passable length.
Included a map which you could use to jump to other areas.
I didnt use the hint button, but Strategy Guide was easy to follow on the few occasions i needed it.
The only thing i can think of to note is the question of CE versus SE. This game is definitely a CE game - to the point that if SE version doesnt have the bonus chapter then they will miss the end of the story.
Definitely recommend.
I recommend this game!

There are so many of these sorts of games out at the moment that some are starting to blur into others - and unfortunately this is one of them. They are fun to play, but once finished it gets somewhat forgotten.
Graphics are well done and caters for widescreen.
Standard hidden object games, plus a few silhouette ones as well. I had no trouble finding any objects.
Basic achievements earned along the way, and bonus 'record' to find in each scene.
Strategy guide was easy to use, but I only needed it a couple of times. I never used the hint button.
Puzzle games were generally easy, although rather than each one being different, they were done in sets which was a little repetitious.
Storyline could have done with an overhaul. I was confused at the beginning as to what was going on, but still had no trouble working out who the 'bad-guy' was. Left me slightly disinterested.
Bonus game followed on from main storyline, but wasnt essential to it.
Both main and bonus games were passable lengths.
If it came to CE versus SE, I think i would still get the CE - more for the strategy guide than the bonus chapter.
I recommend this game!

I think the Titanic theme has been well and truly overused.
Whilst the game catered for widescreen, it was actually only a square playing area with panels at the side.
The words of the hidden object list were in white with a yellow backing making it impossible to see.
I wasn't prepared to give myself a headache trying to play, and deleted it instead.
I don't recommend this game.

This game struck me as being somewhat out-dated.
It didn't cater for wide-screen.
The scenes were in the style of the original hidden object games - drawn and angular with item list at side.
Can't really comment on the story itself as i found myself hitting the delete key very quickly.
I don't recommend this game.
