This game had everything you could ask for. Catered for widescreen, with lovely graphics and great cut-scenes and voice-overs. I played in hardcore mode so there was no puzzle skipping or hints used. Hidden objects were easy to find, only down side being they weren't interactive. Puzzles varied but were a tad on the easy side. A few slightly different from the norm. Bonus flowers to find, and achievements (more aptly called milestones as they were only the basic ones). Storyline was interesting and flowed well. Game was a decent length. Bonus chapter followed on from main story and was also a passable length. I'd recommend the CE over the SE as the bonus chapter ends the story on a happy note.

I couldnt even complete the hour with this game - it was dead boring! The game didnt cater for wide-screen. Objects weren't easy to see, and almost every time you clicked something incorrect it told you so, which became really annoying after a while. Some may enjoy this game, but for me it was straight to the delete button.

This game actually grew on me as i progressed, but then as i was getting into it, it was over and done. Way too short. The game didn't cater for widescreen. Objects were fractured, and were very hard too find - would be almost impossible without a mouse magnifier. There were no hidden object games - each scene contained fractured objects to find by shadow shape and then use in that and other scenes. Trying to work out where to apply these objects is what held my interest in the game. Puzzles were very standard and of moderate difficulty, although few and far between. What little of this game existed was fun enough to play, but i would only recommend it if you have a large screen, a magnifier, and are really really bored.

Would prefer to give this game 4 1/2 stars as it is slightly on the short side. Catered for wide-screen with stunning graphics (in one spot you go down an elevator and I actually felt my stomach drop from the descent). This game was probably more adventure orientated than hidden object. Hidden object scenes were interactive, and bar one the puzzles were easy. But more time was spent doing such things as looking for keys to open doors, which involved a fair bit of going back and forward. There were bonus 'digital records' to collect, but no achievements to earn. Storyline flowed well, and was slightly different to the standard plot. Bonus chapter was an okay length and wasn't essential to the story [was 'his' story, whilst the main game was 'her' story]. I thoroughly enjoyed playing this game.

Another great instalment in the Echoes of the Past series. Whilst the first was by far the best, i think this game comes a close second. Had everything you would expect from this game - except no bonus objects to find or achievements to earn. Stunning graphics and lovely cut-scenes. Standard and slightly different hidden object games. Puzzles varied from easy to slightly harder with good variety. Something about this game just made it really fun to play - I couldn't leave it until I had finished it! Length of game was passable, and story flowed well. Bonus chapter followed on directly from main story, and because of this continuum i would suggest the CE over the SE version.

I just couldn't get into this game. Way too much 'talking', which i found dead boring. Tasks weren't clear, hidden object scenes were okay, although scenes were dreary and hard to make out. Held no interest at all.

The best way to describe this game is 'average'. It covered all the basics, but nothing new or exciting or original. Catered for widescreen, and the scenes were nicely drawn but somewhat dull and dreary. They lacked definition and colour. Hidden object games were run of the mill, as were the puzzle games, although some of the puzzle games gave you a chance to think for once.. Annoying sparkles at hidden object scenes A journal and a map were included, with the journal being needed as a reference a couple of times. Hint button worked well. The storyline was also somewhat dull and dreary. Held no interest for me at all. A pleasant enough game to play, but nothing to write home about.

This game just about had it all. Definitely up there with the best of them. Stunning graphics, good voice-overs, great cut-scenes, catered for widescreen. Good variety of hidden object games and puzzles - although slightly on the easy side. Bonus 'morphing' objects to find, but no achievements to earn. Story flowed well, and whilst not captivating, still held my interest. Game was a good length. Bonus chapter followed on from main story, but wasn't essential to it. Somewhat on the short side though. Definitely recommend this game, and even with the bonus chapter being short, still think it was well worth CE value.

Slightly different from the norm, and could have been great - but fell short. There was two levels, my review is based on the harder level. Graphics were nice, although somewhat dark, and didn't cater for wide screen. Whilst things like sparkles annoy me, this game went to the total extreme. No sparkles, no black bar clues, no changing of cursor. Some scenes could be worked out, but a lot was just idle clicking until something happened. Hidden object games - of which there were plenty - also involved a lot of clicking, but not quickly as there was a penalty. A number of scenes had objects that were obscure or hard to see. Storyline was boring - lost town, mental institution, lost relative.... Had the lot, but poorly executed. Held no interest. Even with the game being difficult at times, it was still somewhat on the short side. Would recommend this game to those who like hidden objects, and have lots of patience.

Two things come straight to mind when I think of this game. Firstly, why go to the trouble of making a great game, but then not cater for wide screen? Secondly, it's one of the few games around that is worth trying again. When I first started playing it, I found it to be boring and dull - primarily because of not being wide-screen - and deleted it. Ended up D/Ling it again a few weeks later, started from the beginning again, and enjoyed it. Pretty much had all the same things you would expect from a CE game (except widescreen). Lovely graphics, and good voice-overs. Hidden object games with minimal interaction, and puzzles that varied from easy to moderate in challenge. The hidden objects were generally easy to find, although a couple of games the objects were obscure and hard to see. There were bonus 'masks' to collect along the way, but no achievements to earn. The storyline flowed well, but wasn't gripping. At 4 hours it wasn't a long game. The bonus game also wasn't very long at 1 hour, and followed on from the main story but wasn't essential to it. That being said, I strongly suggest opting for the CE version purely because of the bonus chapter - that is if you like your stories with happy and completed endings.
